PH - passed through about 8 minutes or so ago and didn't see an adult while there was still light on the nest. Don't really see a white head in the dark dusk right now either, but pretty sure I see the white eaglet's head fluff now going dark.

8:33 - the nest bowl is blackened, yet I can still see the outline of the trees at right and a bit of a light sky. It's not light where I am not far from here on the mainland. I hope an adult is perched nearby. I don't see one at the end of the branch and would never assume an eaglet this age is safe alone at night.

It's windy there; the tree limbs at the upper right are swaying.

Good news: I reviewed the video I had running and while I was outside, and an adult appeared in faint light on the nest. It's there somewhere, but certainly didn't show when I came in and posted this earlier.

PH - I forgot to look back before it got dark to see if an adult had flown in or not. Shoot. Did someone notice, or have video they could check to see if an adult came to the nest before nightfall?

Edit - Oh Good! applause.gif Patti just read your updated post! ok1.gif

PH - Yep, Jeanne....reviewed video because I ran it later than when I posted above and I saw an adult on the nest. Very faint, but one did come in...presumably K26. thumbUp.gif
