Foxglove: Jim Thanks very much for first of all doing what it is you and your team do. And also thank you for the generous offer of sharing your photos with us AND the more than generous offer of "borrowing" those same photos for educational purposes.
I have in my day banded many raptors in British Columbia and your photos brought back fond memories of that time in my life and the enjoyment and satisfaction that activity brought to me. I'm sure I speak for many others when I say I'm sure there are some "interesting stories" behind the other albums you shared with us. Stories I'm sure we would all enjoy hearing about. One of my biggest regret in my "travels" revolving around raptors was that I didn't take many pictures and this took place before the digital camera era. You have shown wisdom in not making that same error. The memories of course are deeply imprinted on my very soul but for others photos can let them into a bit of that world. I am going to take you up on your offer to use the photos in some interpretive work I still do and I assure you I will share your story of this nest and others (if you share with us). So don't be surprized if some day you hear of some B.C. or even American kids or adults learned your name and a little of your purpose from some old man while they were visiting some of OUR National Parks or while taking part in a school program. I had some trouble using the site address you originally posted but with some persistant help from MaMiMoBa Mom (thank you very much) who provided the following link to your photo albums I was finally seeing the fruits of your labour. Photo Albums So if others had trouble as well clicking on the above link may solve your problems as well. Again Jim thanks very much from a retired fellow bander and raptor fan. Bill |

Bill/Raptorman,
I would LOVE to hear your tales of your raptor encounters too! I'd be willing to bet many other viewers would enjoy them as well. Just food for thought...maybe... in your spare time... Nancy |

Nancy: Once bitten twice shy.
Unfortunately, "the team", I'm sure is so busy with their commitment to the physical aspects of this project that their time for "entertaining" us amateurs is very limited. It is a real catch 22 because so much support is needed for projects like these and that support more and more is being sought from the private sector and to get that support that sector needs to be educated to the real need and the possibility of success. Education. But the education feeds off research and so the cycle goes. Anyway, I didn't mean to get on a soap box. Sorry. Bill |

Careful what you wish for. There are some pretty "fecal" tasks associated with these undertakings
