SC - 8:20
Audio keeps going in and out, but the froggies have started right on time!

A81 is lying flat out, occasionally looking up at his sister...she's perfectly content to be perched up there where Mom usually hangs out. tongue.gif

It's Father's Day tomorrow, hoping all the eagle dads make an appearance so their eaglets (and we) can tell them how appreciated they are! wub.gif

Very loud, very nearby adult eagle calling...but must not be a parent because neither of the twins respond! Is that possible? unsure.gif

SC - 8:32
A82 comes off her perch and goes to the left side of nest for a PS. Now she's disturbing her brother--there's a big flap of wings, and A81 has moved to the front of the nest while his sister stands near the back.

8:33 - Of course, they've changed positions, now A82 is on the left side and decides to lie down near the center, while A81 has moved back near the perch. Oh, and he just wingered/hopped to be closer to his sister. laugh.gif

Chris - I heard the eagle call too, but wasn't sure which nest it was from.

It is possible for it to be one of the parents and the eaglets not respond.

They basically only respond if they see food....IMHO

Thanks, Jann - It was definitely the SC nest because it's the only cam I have up. This isn't the first time I've heard an adult's call and no response by the twins...didn't know if it was likely it could be an interloper into their territory. The way A82 was looking down off the nest, she probably did see one of her parents and knew there was no food! laugh.gif

8:39 - Now it's A81's turn to sit on Mom's perch! thumbUp.gif (Or, on closer inspection, maybe he's on that branch below it? Getting dark enough I can't be sure...)

SC - 8:43 Cam has been frozen for a minute or two, now it's off-air.

Well, time to call it a night... Zz.gif Pleasant dreams, everyone!

8:45 - decided to refresh one more time and the cam came back, with night view. A81 still on perch, A82 lies below. 'Night!

WE: I missed most of today because of errands and family out of town. Wow! It looks like it was quite a day. K27 can be a bit on the aggressive side. I imagine since it looks like most of the food for the last 2 days has gone to sibs, she's a little bit on the unhappy side and has been a mite mean spirited to sibs. Well because of her K24 may be the first to fledge. I'm gladd he made it back to the nest. But if he is the first to fledge, maybe the IWS crew can be on the watch for him and help him with his talon. He's such a good brother, K27 just doesn't realize.

Xfingers.gif Xfingers.gif for our K24.
