All Eagles All The Time 2007 is an Archival/History in Videos and Still captures showing the various stages throughout the year in the lives of the Eagles on the Two Harbors Nest on Catalina Island.

First we have the Restoration of the nest....aka Nestorations by the A-49 Cruzers....The eagles started bringing sticks to their nest prior to the new year...but from January the pace has increased and the eagles are visiting regularly bringing more supplies to get the nest ready....the expectation is Eggs in February.

All these Videos and Stills have been selected by the capturers for this thread. You can see more videos and still pictures by visiting the Daily Observations thread. Now renamed Nest Watch.

We ask you NOT to post comments in this thread. VIEWING ONLY PLEASE! This will enable faster viewing by Dr. Peter Sharpe and the IWS Team ... for record purposes .... and also for Members and visitors to the forum.

Dr. Sharpe Lends a Hand

November 3, 2006

Video by EDblue

After fixing the camera on the Two Harbors nest, Dr. Sharpe is talking on his cell phone and starts moving twigs, sticks and rocks around....eventually lends digs out a few large rocks from the middle of the nest bowl, filling it in with softer materials in the nest.

X Marks the Spot.

December 13th and 15th 2006 and January 10th 2007

Because he didn’t know if the eagles ...81 and 82 ... were visiting the nest Dr. Peter Sharpe places two sticks in a X position ... On January 10th 2007 some Twig-nappers were caught in the act! .... Captures taken by Cumbrian.

Who took the X? ...............................................

QUOTE (EagleGuy: Jan 9 2007 @ 04:07 PM )
It looks like the TH birds may have added some sticks on the back side of the nest. There was an adult that flew to the nest while I was working on getting the video back (an unscrewed connector on a video cable at the third and final video link was the problem), so they are still visiting the nest.

What are #81 & #82 doing? Could they be digging a hole for an egg? Or looking for the rock that Dr. Sharpe removed from their nest while fixing the camera?

81 and 82 are on their nest. 81 flies off and brings back a large stick/branch. Is this the start of the crib railings?

Defending the Nest - Attack of the Ravens

January 16, 2007

Captures by EDblue

#81 arrived at 11:14 and soon began lifting his feathers as if to fly. Turned and watched intently. I saw a couple ravens fly by.....too fast for a capture.
