Good Morning ALL!
I try to translate this history...  Hi All! Some years ago in Germany, just before ring marking of young White Tailed Eagles the biologist found a buzzard chick in a White Tailed Eagles nest. The buzzard chick was together with two young eagles in the nest. The only reason how this buzzard chick came in to this nest, is that the adults brought this buzzard chick in to the nest as prey. The chick survived and must be begun to begging the adults for food. The young buzzards survived and fledge some weeks before the young White Tailed Eagles. At a later ring marking of eagles, they found remains of buzzards in a White tailed eagles nest, and it seems that some of these eagles has a special prefer for buzzard hunting. Thank you Regan .....couldn't have said it better ...... There are many nests yet to support and watch - the WE triplets / another wonderful surprise from wonderful parents ....... and all the rest! There is always hope or we would be lost ....... and for the parents who were not successful this year, it is our hope for the best for them in the coming years! |

 to all our eagle friends - thank you for your support and positive thoughts during these times - particularly for ES when I have done interviews for IWS for Animal Planet, the papers and the film crew - they could not grasp the "community" that has grown amongst the people who wtach and support the nests ....... it is hard to put into words for sure but it truly heartfelt and even though we live many, many miles apart - all over the world - we are a "community" |
