Hello eagle fans,

We’ve been tracking down the fledglings on the island and making sure the parents continue to care for them.
The Seal Rocks eaglets must be just days away from leaving their nest territories and getting ready to take off on their own searching for food. As of yesterday, they were still exploring their nest canyon and I was able to get close visuals on both, but I know that’s about to change very soon.
Last week I spend a few hours trying to find these two. Their signals were coming in quite strongly but I could not spot them. They weren’t even begging so I just had to wait. After a few hours, K21 finally popped out of the bushes and got a bit startled when it so me there.








I was able to get a nice shot, too bad I don’t have a better camera or it would have been a calendar photo!

And the noisy sea lions who are even noisier now that they have pups! They are so little and adorable, they sound just like sheep!

As I was getting ready to leave, a couple of ravens perched near him and started harassing him… they are so daring!

I surveyed another section of the island last week but other than a peregrine falcon flying by me incredibly fast, I did not spot any eagles.

Thank you for the update Steffani !! We appreciate them so much especially now with the eaglets leaving the nest and all of us praying that they will return just one more time so we can see them again.
