Some of this years "Whistling Ducks" are getting very comfortable on site. They fly in and get something to eat - then they take a siesta. :P
It's "din din".... I'm doing the Happy Dance! :D
Time to relax...
Time for a nap.....

For those who didn't see, I posted late last night that Cat's husband had left me a voicemail saying that she did not get to come home yesterday. :'( He didn't go into detail, but there must have been some kind of setback. I will try to call him later today and see how she is doing.

Sunday we set a record with 81F/27C and this morning it is :flk: :flk: . Crazy weather!
Naturegal - April 3, 2012 02:40 PM (GMT)
Sad news from Colorado nest. :'( One of the chicks didn't make it, it moved to a far part of the nest and couldn't get back to adult. It probably died of hypothermia as it is cold there now and a bit of snow. Other 2 chicks are being brooded right now. RIP little eaglet :candle: :^^^:
harpo516 - April 3, 2012 02:42 PM (GMT)
poor little chick
and congrats to WE :^: :^: :^:
Artsy Mom - April 3, 2012 02:46 PM (GMT)
Yay #3 :^: at WE :**: :><: :><: :**: K01 keeps the other two ^"^ ^"^ busy with an extended feeding so the newest one can fully emerge without interference. Dark grey fluff on the far left.
What a great Dad

.....CATYOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND THAT TODAY IS BETTER DAY FOR YOU.
petra - April 3, 2012 03:01 PM (GMT)
CATM HOPE THAT YOU'RE HOME SOON SWEETIE MANY HUUUUUGS
Artsy Mom - April 3, 2012 03:16 PM (GMT)
Carole such a shame about the Colorado :^: After such a struggle to hatch and then to have that happen :'(
Is that the nest at Vian? The one at Sooner Lake nest had three eggs, one hatched, second hatched and a couple days later disappeared and the third egg wasn't viable. So there is one eaglet left. TH lost a :^: too and then there was the Richmond nest where the two :^: :^: were attacked and killed by the rogue eagle and the one Cindy and Bear watched where the wind damaged the nests and the ^"^ ^"^ disappeared :o It's harsh in nature :'(
harpo516 - April 3, 2012 03:16 PM (GMT)

WHEN I WANNA DOT THAT IT WON'T ACCEPT...OR THE HEAD DON'T MAKE THAT MOVE
IT'S A GIF SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND
PLS HELP AND THANKS
jeannec - April 3, 2012 03:29 PM (GMT)
Hey Deb/Peetie - my shoulder is the same - had the MRI so I think I should call the doc's office and get the lowdown. I thought they would call me! Thank you for asking! :Hugs:
Artsy Mom - April 3, 2012 03:31 PM (GMT)
Beautiful series of hatching :^: pics in your NAC post Carole :)^
I also love to see the eggs all in a row...when the Dad's incubate they leave them in a row and when the Mom's do they are all in a cluster. I'm thinking this is because the females have a much larger brood patch than the Dad's do :D
petra - April 3, 2012 03:32 PM (GMT)
BUT DO THEY KNOW WHATS "WRONG" WITH YOUR SHOULDER JEANNE ????
:X: :X: :X:
marshaz - April 3, 2012 03:32 PM (GMT)
GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!
THANKS, LINDA. I MISSED THAT NEWS ABOUT CATM, LAST NIGHT. HOPEFULLY, THINGS WILL GET RIGHT ON TRACK AGAIN.
CAROLE, LOVELY EGG HATCH PHOTOS AND IT'S A GREAT OPEING FOR THE NEW SEASON. WONDERFUL SHOTS, TOO. SAD NEWS ABOUT THE COLORADO EAGLET. :'(
PENNY, THANKS FOR THE WONDERFUL SHOTS OF #3 EGG BEING HATCHED AND NEW LITTLE ONE. <3
I HAVE TO TAKE LOUIE THIS MORNING FOR HIS DOGGIE VACCINATIONS WHILE WE ARE ON BREAK, SO WILL CHECK BACK LATER.

Deb, glad Leo found his way home. :)^ :)^
cindyzinaz - April 3, 2012 04:17 PM (GMT)
So glad Leo came home, sorry Cat didn't yet, but best to stay where she'll be well cared for. Topa, great Smilebox, LOVE pic #5 <3 Jill, such beautiful kitties and so content with their new beds <3
Sad about loosing another baby and happy about gaining one in our own nest.
Yes, momma Wray will need to keep those ^"^ ^"^ in line for a bit - I'm sure we're all thinking about sweet Prince Harry <:3
Karen, sorry your team lost, a very dear friend is a KU alumni so she's right there with you, another friend is a UK alumni and has been in New Orleans this week. It was on her bucket list to attend a championship game and she just retired last month and is thrilled she crossed that one off.
Well, back to it...crazy weather here too - 10 degrees above normal then 10 degrees below normal  But the blazing heat will be here before you know it.
Just as I was wrapping this up, Bear came in and told me about a plane crash at the regional airport a mile from us. 2 dead :candle:
harpo516 - April 3, 2012 04:20 PM (GMT)
oh sad about the plane going down :(
Laurie I know that feeling - luv that graphic :)
Artsy Mom - April 3, 2012 04:22 PM (GMT)
So glad Leo came home on his own Deb :)^ I was trying to remember what that breed was called before you posted it...remember this? :D
Siobhan watching the Shibu Ina puppy cam  That's Traveling Star ^"^ on the left side.

Anybody know how a grey squirrel could lose all the hair along the entire length of its tail? :o I was so shocked when I saw it this morning digging for nuts under my tree and then it ran across to my neighbors. Without the hair on its tail it does look like a giant rat. I'm wondering if it got caught in something
I'll have to try to get a :clk: of it :X: the hair can grow back soon.
