Artsy Mom - March 25, 2012 03:27 PM (GMT)

Backyard bunny hunkered down in it's favorite spot under the lilac and honeysuckle trees. I leave this area 'wild' and it seems to have decided to stay..at least until all the new plant shoots are eaten
marshaz - March 25, 2012 03:32 PM (GMT)
GOOD SUNDAY MORNING EAGLE WATCHERS!
I GUESS NO BABIES WERE BORN DURING THE NIGHT. HOPEFULLY TODAY! :X:
CAROLE, LOVELY POND CRITTER SHOTS AND EAGLE UPDATES. WATCH OUT FOR THAT ALLIGATOR!!!!!! <:::
PENNY, I SEE THE LILY HAS OPENED UP. WHAT A LOVELY GIFT.
DEB, SORRY TO ES HAVING A NASTY COLD. GIVE OUR WELL-WISHES.
Artsy Mom - March 25, 2012 03:35 PM (GMT)
Carole I was horrified to see that gator in 'your' pond :8O: What will happen if he decides on Sandhill eggs for brekkies? :o The parents can fly off at least, unless he sneaks up on them.
Would somebody from animal control remove it and take it to another less populated area? Keep Maya on a leash and watch your back!!! I would be absolutely terrified since it is so close to home

I'll have to check with the neighbours if animal control would come to remove it. Then again, if it got out, others can too and invade the pond. It's not a good thing as the Sandhills at the golf course have lost many eggs and babies :'( over the years with all the alligators there. The golf course is also a nature preserve so nothing can be done about it. Will definitely keep a very close watch on Maya, and a short leash around the pond.

Morning!!!
ojailala - March 25, 2012 04:11 PM (GMT)
Penny, beautiful lily in bloom.. I love them but don't have them in the house anymore because they are poisonous to cats.. and I can't keep cats away from anything around here...

Last night we went out with two other couples for dinner at out favorite restaurant. Our reservation was for 7 and before we knew it the time was 10:30. Lots of laughs and catching up since we really hadn't seen or talked to each other for such a long time :D
During the course of the evening I brought up the eagle cams :P In particular the app for the iPhone. Only people who are eagleholics can appreciate the stunned open mouthed gapes...what??? Why are you watching :<<o>>: :<<o>>: nests and more rolling of the eyeballs.

Pa Norfolk relaxing in his nest this morning
I just had to send off Part 1 and 2 of As the Nest Turns so they could get an idea rofl
Doubt it will convert anyone though  Some people will never 'get' it
amethyst - March 25, 2012 04:32 PM (GMT)
Carole, is the gator in the same pond with the crane's nest????:8O:
EDIT: I see you answered above... :ok:
Artsy Mom - March 25, 2012 05:46 PM (GMT)
P and #4 just hanging around the nest on a foggy day :D
I don't know why that date is on the top :clk: because I just took it
The last time they were both in the nest in the middle of the afternoon is because an intruder was nearby  dare we hope for an :egg: today :P
Artsy Mom - March 25, 2012 06:00 PM (GMT)
More Norfolk eye candy :D

Norfolk nest is empty now on a foggy rainy day.
You can hear the fountain below the nest and the occasional 'people' voices :D
harpo516 - March 25, 2012 07:02 PM (GMT)
ES finally got up, sat around then decided he was starving - we had a couple things to get so we ran an errand and then stopped at Panera for a quick bite of soup .... still overcast and chilly - no rain for now.
oh those gators .... be careful - my DB, some years ago, was doing some wiring for outdoor lighting, not far from a canal, when he thought he heard something, he turned and there was Mr. Gator watching him - so he packed his tools and left the lights for another day :) Carole - hope the nest stays safe
but I might have to get a pond at my next house - what fun to watch nature in your back yard!
luv the bunny penny - Trin saw her first rabbit a couple of years ago on one of our walks - she just didn't have a clue as to what it was rofl

I was so shocked when I saw it. :8O: All I care about is that he doesn't harm any of the critters who I have grown to <3 Your poor DB must have had a fit :hair:

Painted by Chinese Artists, Dai Dudu, Li Tiezi and Zhang An,
oil on canvas, 2006.
This painting is truly remarkable.
Even more amazing though, is that the canvas has been computerized.
When you click on the link below, a much bigger version of the computerized painting appears.
Run your cursor over the people.
The program tells you who they are - every single one of them.
BUT click on a person and you obtain the individual’s life history.
This is fascinating... Can keep you busy for hours!

I am sure your brother and his GS had a blast! All regional and State Championship Games are over the top excitement. :)^
Here I am an old 67years old and still look back to my Jr. High and High School Basketball teams and games. I did not play, but we went to all the games. Nothing like being in a hot, wild and noisy gymnasium for BB Games, come outside in the dead of winter to snow and icy chills. Heck, when you are a teenager it is so exhilerating during and after the games. Then head to the local diner with friends for shakes and burgers and await the Team arrivals. Fun, Fun, Years!!
Okay, DEB--Buckeyes vs Jayhawks......Ohio State Buckeyes have an awesome team this year and Kansas Jayhawks will have a very hard time winning that game...I will have my Kansas T-shirt on next Saturday. :ok:
