Looked out this morning when it was light enough - no sign of the Comerant. Hopefully, he recovered and flew home this morning. (No feathers on the ground! That's a good sign)

Here's a grey heron that perched on a pole beyond the purple house.



Another "roof dweller"...



The reason the ducks are on the purple house? These folks built the first three story house in the area. It's the highest point and good vantage spot for the birds. :lol:

Marti - glad to hear the cormorant has moved on! And you have there a great blue heron, great egret and of course your roof full of whistling ducks - they crack me up!

MARTI--Glad the Cormorant has moved on--you sure have your birds trained there in South Texas--they roost on roofs, no biggie, but they are potty trained. Maybe that new house, exluding the awful colors, will be fun after all with all the birds liking the spot for roosting.

PEETIE--Glad too that you have gotten an appt. Thursday, to see about those sore muscles.

I hope things get straightened out you CAROL and your art work today. What a big disappointment for you last week.

Penny, the post you wrote last night about the grammys was dead on!! I agree with everything you said.. Lady Gaga looked so out of place sitting in the audience. Hudson was very classy with her singing.... Adele was delicious.. sustained applause when she finished "Rolling in the Deep" and she looked amazed that they kept clapping.... Great Show... Perry was not up to her usual and Minage performance was awful, IMHO.... and once again, they had to turn camera away from Glen Campbell at the end as he wanted to stick around on stage... he did great too!!!

Good morning cruzers,

This is what I woke up to this morning:



Luckily the roads were just slushy, so no problems getting to w*@k.

I had a very busy weekend, so didn't have time to post. Saturday I cleaned out the garage, took a load to the dump, got things ready for Sunday's deliveries, and then relaxed for the rest of the day. Sunday I had my T bed delivered, as well as an oversized chair/twin sleeper. Then I took a nap, did homework, and finished just in time to watch Downton Abbey. LOVE that show!

<::: Mina Update

I spoke with Mina this morning and she sounded great. She is still in the skilled nursing facility but should be heading home real soon. She finished the seven week course of antibiotics yesterday. Finally. She can stand OK but is have difficulty walking. She has a bad knee that needs replacing. :o More surgery. The plan is to get her in pool therapy soon so she can practice walking and get stronger.

I going to visit her on Wednesday if she is still in the facility. If she's gone home I'll visit on Friday. DH and DD are getting the living room ready with a hospital bed. I'll let you know more after my visit.
