Hi Bee. Where you put the horse info was good...except I didn't see a link, just the info you typed.
This thread is more for links we'll want to use over and over again, like the IWS sites, other eagle cams, other animal cams, and links that are helpful for taking pictures/videos, etc....sorta like you'd use the Yellow Pages.

http://www.giveawayoftheday.comGiveaway of the Day gives you one free commercial software application every day. What's the catch? Each program is available for 24 hours only, and you must install it the day you download it.
To clarify, the software doesn't expire after 24 hours. Rather, you have a 24-hour window in which to nab it and load it. But once that's done, it's yours to keep. Sweet!
Don't expect to find PhotoShop or Quicken here; the selection consists mostly of games, utilities, and the occasional niche app (like the 3D-album designer that appeared a few days ago). Previous days' giveaways are still listed on the site for browsing and buying, but they're not organized or categorized--one area where G of the D needs improvement.
As a die-hard fan of all things free, I am so bookmarking this. It's like found gold.
Hulabird - November 20, 2006 07:35 PM (GMT)
At the top of their homepage, you can subscribe to their daily newsletter so you can get notification of all the programs they offer.

My husband discovered a site trying to ID some small raptors we saw this weekend (they were kestrals). For amateur bird watchers, the pictures and ID tips are really helpful - for instance, they use the size of other really common birds to compare. www.peregrine-foundation.ca/identification.html

Mizqueen, great site! Thanks for the link!! Very helpful!

Thank you ED for posting my "home" cam under the links section. I had posted the link in other posts, but it sure is nice to see it on your permanent list.
We did have 3 eaglets successfully hatch last year, the first year this cam was up. We named them BigBoy, Ms Inbetween and Spunky. We named the parents Liberty (M) and Belle (F). Our 30 second cam just cam back on December 6th, after being down since mid July. The live feed is also operational now. The cam and feed have been up and down since then, as they have installed new equipment and batteries, etc this year, along with a new provider. Hopefully all the kinks will get worked out before egg laying time in mid February.

Looks good, Debi. That link didn't work for me, however. I think this is the same thing at this link:
http://www.virtualdub.org/ That's the one I put on the first post with all the other links.

:}^ Hi all,
This is one of my favorite eagle sites - besides :><: yours! - from Pigeon Forge, Tenn - the American Eagle Foundation. What makes this site so special is that they save disabled eagles (who are usually hurt when then encounter man) and they live out their lives in a wonderful protected environment. Liberty and Justice are the stars of the web cam and they have raised many chicks - some theirs, some fostered. They too have had their share of tears. Read their stories at the following link:

Hey Peeps,
Did ya'll know that another of our loving nestmates Glo has a blog called "For the Love of Eagles"?
I subscribe to it and get an e-mail with the current happenings in the nests all around the country almost everyday. Today she has a nice Tribute to Limuw.
Here's the link:
http://fortheloveofeagles.blogspot.com/She also has a forum similar to ours that you can register for as well.
PS: This current entry features Limuw AND The NCTC nest which is our own Paula Eaglet Momsters home nest. She has a really nice blog too. Her link is on the front master link on this thread (page one) under Blogs.
I really can appreciate all the hard work you two ladies put into your lurve of eagles!

Paula, I can't get this link to work. Will see if I can figure out why before including it on the master list.
Paula eaglet momster - October 9, 2007 04:01 PM (GMT)
Jann - site is back up, but looks like the cam is down :(
Eagle Duo - October 9, 2007 05:06 PM (GMT)
I noticed this at the bottom of the page.....might explain why it's down so much.
Note: this project is currently in a "test phase." There is a possibility the video will blank out for an undetermined period of time. Check back often if you encounter one of these "temporary glitches." Thank you for your patience.
I did put it in the master list. Hopefully it'll be more stable soon.

Deb, I'm glad you posted the link to Alcoa in Australia Peregrine Falcon Cam. I've enjoyed checking it out throughout the day. :)^

I am not sure where this should be posted. If this is the wrong place, please feel free to move it, or notify me to post it in a different category. Thanks
My question is....do all of you have the same problem with the Pelican Harbor Win Media Player that I do? Which is that I cannot make the View...Enhancements...Video Settings work. I thought we could make the screen brighter...more contrast...and change Hue with those controls.
But mine will not work. The sliders just return to the middle as soon as I release the cursor.
If anyone has found a way to make them work (on Vista) please let me know. You can even send reply direct to my email...Genie616@aol.com
Thanks so much
Genie
