Joanie - you can add Roger and I to the list for the May 15th - will need directions and addresses as this is our 1st time - finally get to see the Sacred Door in person and have pic taken - we can bring 2 - 4 others with us - I know Bette has said she doesn't drive at night, Sandie mentioned she could use a ride, maybe Sara if she is not riding with someone - let me know.

Friday, May 21 was mentioned as a day to visit the SB Zoo - how many are interested - I will need to plan to take the day off - do know Jillers has offered a special tour by her friend that day as well. Worked five hours at Zoo-to-do pulling, scraping, cutting weeds in the Cactus Garden on Sat. - got some of the needles out of my hand without tweezers, but one was really, really short - finally got it out that night - cactus area looks really good though - had 6 of us working there - others weeded the RR tracks - had to get off when the train came by - about 50 - 60 volunteers showed up altogether great fun, but lots of work.

Sheila - so glad both of you can make the Door Dinner :)

Yes there has been some talk about SB Zoo visit on Fri - that would be fantastic.

Guess maybe we should open a topic specifically for that and see what we can put together!

Hi, Sheila :}^ So happy that you two are going to make it and what a lovely offer for a special tour of SB! We're trying to block out the time at the end of that week and get the office 'covered' so we can head north for a possible reprise of 'Cruzers Do the Zoo' ... or whatever else comes along :D. I'll add you to the list when next I update it - can't keep editing like we used to be able to do - that function disappears after a few days.

Joanie - we googled map quest for Peter's Marina - we do have GPS in the car I have, but haven't used it yet - Roger says he's going to read the book - have been asking him to figure it out so would know how when we need it - keeps forgetting he says - so in case he doesn't, is there anything we need to know about getting to Peter's Marina - I wrote down the number to the Marina just in case.

Wow, will the Panda Palace be ready for 37 of us? If not, they'll learn quickly. :lol: I can't wait to see everyone and have some fun!

So far, Roger, Jo Duffy and I will be riding together to the Sacred Door - I guess Sandie let Jo know she couldn't make it and I know Regan has another engagement that afternoon - I will let her tell you about it - we have room for another in the car or 2 more in the van - we won't need to leave till between 3:30pm - 3:45pm to make it to HB by 6pm with a little time to spare.
