@ mk2 yes that my lady bit the bullet two years ago always wanted one...................grew up behind the wheel of a mk2 though my fathers one and he had a mk1 as well. He wasnt a man around a spanner but spoke passionanetly abou tthe mk1 & mk2 always........ its rube dogff on me and the brother.

fair enough all was lost, but certain amounts are recoverable.
Im currently recovering a drive that was wiped and im taking all 20,000 photos back off it, luckily nothing new was written to the drive since the data loss which means that less damage was done. that's a lifetime of photos for the owner.
A few months ago I recovered a drive that had windows installed on it since the owner thought all was lost, I recovered about 60% of his photos how-ever a lot of them were "half photos", either the top or bottom half of the photo was lost due to being written over, this was due to writing new data to the disk and over-writing the image.
If you want some help recovering the photos get yourself an external disk and send me PM
edit: and stop using the disk until you can recover it

@ redrocket had pictures on the PC and we had a guy look at it and he wiped the drives it was acting up never even thought of backing up the photos to my laptop so when we got it back all were gone. not well up on that side of PC's so i presume they are gone alot of photos of ford events lost as well sickend but some i had on photo bucket so i was lucky. sound
