Where's the most common places for rust?! Just don't wanna get ripped off!! Other than all panels floors, sills and strut tops where else might cause big problems in time to come?!

It'll be hard to get a rust free one,even if there is such a thing..

Heater bubble (just behind engine) stick your finger in the hole rofl.gif check for crust.

That whole panell where the door hinges bolt on thumbsup.gif

These are the first 2 places they start rotting thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif best of luck thumbsup.gif

I'm sure ye view a few resto thread on here of the MK2's

only other place that dosent rot on the mk1..that suffer's on the mk2 is the "c" post ..or rear window pillar.

Check for any dodgy repairs too - and bring a magnet to make sure that any of the panels are not full of FG or filler!!

Open both doors and lift em from tha end.I've seen one where the entire panel from windscreen to sill will move with the door!!
Some craic fixin that!!

Put your hand up behind the heater matrix and feel for crust. If it is it will let water in and will run down onto the floors causing them to rot too. Best of luck mk2esc.gif
