Male Canons

sean daniel fletcher
59 - townsfolk/cowboy - john wayne
Sean Fletcher was one of the cowboys that founded Buffalo Creek Bay. He is kind and tries to help out the townsfolk when they need it, but the man enjoys drinking whiskey a bit too much thus sometimes causing a bit of havoc every now and then. The townsfolk normally forgive him because he's done so much for the town and them alone

Harland “Harley” Nash
55 - lawman - ed harris
Born and raised in Letcher County in eastern Kentucky by a mining father and Scottish mother, Harland is the second youngest of six. He and his three brothers were raised expecting a lifetime in the tunnels. But the youngest Nash son decided he wanted something different. By the time he was sixteen Harland had been in the coal mines for three years but saved up his money and bought a pinto pony then left home. Taking up residence in West Virginia he worked odd jobs then ran for sheriff after exhibiting an inherent prowess for handling the steel at age nineteen. But experience won the election and Harland lost the run for office but the newly chosen sheriff approached him afterward and appointed him deputy of the mining town of Logan County. During the fifteen years he lived in West Virginia he met Rhonda Evans in the spring in 1839, they were married around Christmas that same year. Despite trying for a while, Rhonda seemed unable to bear children meaning Harland could annul the marriage by law, but of course he didn’t, claiming his parents already had grandchildren. They moved to Texas in the summer of 1845 where the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary in the quiet town of Seguin. They spent their next fifteen wedding anniversaries in the little town, watching it prosper and remaining childless but happy. Harland procured a job as a jail keep for the small town shortly after their arrival, just to pay for their essentials. Rhonda also ran a tailor shop from the couple’s cottage on the outskirts of town. He later became the deputy and then town marshal, remaining so until 1860. Nash resigned from his position shortly after Rhonda took ill with pneumonia after a Christmas outing. The day after the little town celebrated New Year’s she passed away peacefully in her sleep. Harland returned to West Virginia for his late wife’s funeral before leaving, trying to remain resolute in his loss. He drifted around the Midwest for eight years until stumbling across Buffalo Creek Bay quite literally, seeming to know exactly where the saloon was. With his years of experience as a lawman he was soon eyeing the open deputy position, recently added as the town grew, much like he had watched Seguin grow those years ago.

billy joe anderson
63 - outlaw - jeff bridges
Billy Anderson is the leader of a gang of six men including himself. He has been spotted around these parts a few times in the past three years and every time the man shows up something happens such as a bank robbery or a murder. There isn't enough evidence against him to prove him guilty but the lawmen of Buffalo Creek hope to catch the man red-handed someday soon.

samuel felix
55 - townsfolk - ian mcshane
Samuel Felix has lived in Buffalo Creek Bay for the past four years and has become the owner of the First Chance Saloon. He has no wife or children of his own and has made no indication of having any interest in starting a family anytime soon. He's crude but friendly and will help anyone he knows.. if he can that is.

Played by Heck.
.

hugh jackson harris
71 - townsfolk/cowboy - same elliot
Hugh Harris is another one of the six cowboys who had found Buffalo Creek Bay. He had rode out this way with them after his wife of 15 years left him for a wealthier man back east. Now he owns the livery and runs it all and he expects to be doing just that until the day he dies.

leroy allen ross
46 - townsfolk - kevin sorbo
Leroy Ross wasn't exactly raised to be a God-fearing man. He ran away from home at a young age after watching his Ma being beat by his Pa nearly every night and soon found himself a job as a ranch hand. He worked there for quite a few years until he met a woman and married her soon after. They built a life together and two baby boys joined their small family. All was well until a small group of Mexican bandits raided their home killing his wife and two young boys. Since he was all alone again Leroy went on a hunt for the Mexicans who killed his family. Over a period of years he caught them one by one and killed them all. After seeking revenge there was nothing else for him to do. He started drinking and soon there was nothing he could to do stop. Every penny and dime he found went right to the bottle. He had even contemplated committing suicide a few times along the way, but was stopped by a man passing through. The man talked him out of it and bought him a hot meal and a room at the nearest Inn. There they talked for a while and the gentle words that came from the man gave Leroy a whole new outlook on life. Since that night Leroy hasn't picked up another bottle and along the way he became a preacher.

dalton ---- bradley
32 - drifter - john cusack
Dalton Bradley made a quiet living for himself in the wintry wilderness of British Columbia. A pioneer no different than his American brethren of the Old West, Dalton and his family carved out a niche for themselves in the woodlands of western Canada trapping and selling furbearing animals for profit to sell to the Hudson’s Bay Company. His family also owned a small cattle operation with no more than fifty head of Black Angus and sold the spring calves to feed lots for a little more cash. In 1858, a 21 year old Dalton had grown weary of his life as a simple fur trapper, he hadn’t even received a formal education and saw he could do nothing more in his life for money than to head to the banks of Thompson River to mine for gold. The little area became a boomtown within months and a fort along with proper government was soon established. Following a series of gold veins from ‘58-’64 Dalton went where he could until British Columbia was declared to be in massive debt after the building of two major highways and the price to export the gold the miners found. Following one such wagon road, Dalton meandered his way down into Wyoming but found coal mining to be much too strenuous and left from Cheyenne in late 1868 after a series of dead end odd jobs. He now lives on the other side of the Buffalo Creek and only comes into town to trade the animal pelts he traps, facing much less competition here in the United States. Plus he’s damn good at what he does.

Her only day off was Sunday and that was often full of prayers, prayers, and more prayers. Louisa's religious habits followed her and she ended up marrying Zacariah Johnson, the son of a preacher that was living in Denver but had moved to Buffalo Creek. She was twenty-two years old and soon had her first baby, a son named Gabriel Elijah. A few months ago she had another son, Theophilus Zacariah, but her marriage is anything but perfect. There are rumors that devout Zacariah found himself a new lady friend. Louisa has only recently been getting wiff of these rumors.
