Huzzah! Got the idear from the conversation in the c-box, here is where we can share how we think our characters would be in a modern world, particularly who they would be in high school. This will be uber fun and silly! You don’t have to follow my model just have fun with it ^^ and maybe we can even post some interactive stuff here, wouldn’t that be . . . interesting? lol

Mary McCarty: She likes to do her own thing and pretty much has her own way of handling herself and won’t take a word of advice from anyone. As stubborn and free spirited as they come she rides a motorcycle to school when her mother needs the car, which is pretty much all the time. There is no taming her wild blonde hair just like her personality, she hangs out with other leather clad bikers and smokes and drinks and pretty much has a good time in general where everything in life comes before school work. She causes a little trouble but not many will tangle with her as her reputation of carrying knives knows no bounds. In between classes she finds the time to flush freshmen’s heads down the girl’s bathroom toilets, chill with her friend Henry in the parking lot or fix a car with the strapping boys in auto shop. But she's taken, after meeting Daniel Helm in her regular biker group she was smitten and they often find the time to vandalize, motorvate, procrastinate and fornicate anywhere and anytime. Not much time however is given to her classes, she plans to drop out soon anyways.
Clique: Bikers
Ten Years Later: Nothing much, highschool dropout to PlayBoy magazine to single mom working at a grocery store in Aspen, CO and lives with the occasional guy.

Davion Murphy: The epitome of the preppy guy in school, Davion’s hair is always perfect, he is up to date with the fashion, popular and successful on report card day. He has a scholarship to a good university in California despite the dozen or so he received from other prestigious schools across the country not only for his academics but his impressive record as a track athlete and quarterback for the school football team. His dream is to become an entrepreneur but the major focus of his future major is uncertain but so far he is planning to go into engineering, why worry about it when he has a free ride anyways? His parents are both well off though divorced and for his sixteenth birthday he got a new red mustang from his father that he babies more than his girlfriend . . . whoever the hell he happens to be dating now. His parents compete for his affections by buying stuff for him so in short, he has a lot of shit, including well over twenty pairs of Chuck Taylors in almost every color possible. He is currently involved with Emily Devereaux but with plenty of suitors waiting in line he can be choosy but has to have the right girl by senior prom so they can win best couple, after all he has Prom King in the bag.
Clique: Prep
Ten Years Later: Designs locomotives for Norfolk Southern after graduating from Virginia Tech, lives in Norfolk, VA and is not married and was unfaithful to every girlfriend he was ever with.

Samuel Felix: Word has gotten around that Felix lives in the rich part of town, a gated neighborhood with the manicured lawns and three car garages, his mother is one of those rabid homeowners association, nit picking, manipulative types that tattles on her neighbors when they paint their houses two shades lighter than the original approved color. His father owns his own corporation, hence the living situation. Though he does nothing to rub it in anyone’s face, Sam is not much appreciated for his status from the expensive outfits he wears and the BMW he drives to his aspirations of becoming a lawyer. They may say what they want but no one does much to him because when they do hecklers end up in toilets, trashcans, lockers, without money for lunch, stained pants, torn jackets, and the like. Needless to say he is pretty quiet and usually keeps to himself to avoid trouble. He is friends with the other oddballs of the school that have no single group they fit into.
Clique: Oddball
Ten Years Later: Took over his father's company, lives in Denver, CO with his wife, an exotic blues singer named Svetlana Swarovski.

Henry Scarborough: Another one of those eighteen year olds in tenth grade, Henry has fallen behind to the point that his job at Hardees’ often comes before school. He attends class when he can and then uses his failing report cards as rolling papers when he smokes pot in the parking lot with his friend Mary. His car is a piece of shit he bought himself with what little money he makes flipping burgers and taking orders at the drive thru window. A rusty powder blue $200, 1989 Ford Taurus that could probably single handedly hurl the entire planet into global melt down as it belches out black smoke every time he peels out of the parking lot listening to Ozzy as loud as he can possibly stand, on his way home to his thrice divorced mother’s single wide trailer with the moldy couch in the yard. The odometer is maxed out to the point it’s a wonder the damn thing still runs which sometimes it doesn’t, good thing Henry has a lot of friends on account of his easy going personality, to help push the Ford POS. It may also be because he grows weed in his closet and gives it out to his friends.
Clique: Stoner
Ten Years Later: Directs cheap pornos and is in debt up to his ears with some pretty serious people, makes money on the side betting the ponies and selling pot, lives in Los Angeles, CA and is not married but after working with porno actors and actresses all day every day he's not complaining but won't be coming to the reunion without a pretty lady on his arm, or man whatever tickles his fancy.

Russell Scarborough: That last name isn’t exactly a coincidence and Rusty is not enthused that his pothead cousin is related to him and he catches a lot of shit for it. Oftentimes he denies their kinship and that works for a few weeks. He can’t even be around him, if the coach smells marijuana in his clothes he could get kicked off the team. Rusty plays baseball, and a scout has already picked him up for a free ride to the nearest University where he will play college ball. His dream is to go on to the majors but he doesn’t know if he’s that good yet. His father is pushing him into baseball but in the winter he plays hockey and enjoys it much more, he has yet to confront his parents with that and there is a bigger future in baseball so his endeavors seem short lived for him at the moment. Meanwhile he hangs out with the jocks and drives his little black Chevy S10 truck all over town, occasionally with a buddy in the back swinging a Louisville Slugger at mailboxes. He has an innocent crush on the girl from his Chemistry Lab last semester, the senator's daughter Emily Devereaux, but she is too smitten with the ever popular Davion Murphy to notice him much.
Clique: Jock
Ten Years Later: Defenseman for the Denver Pioneers for the University of Denver then the Philadelphia Flyers (same position) Plans on coaching after he retires from playing hockey and with all of his teeth, lives in Philadelphia, PA and is not married since he travels so much.

Cyrus Savage: With his stature one may think he is on the football team, his quiet nature instead gives off an air of mystery. Cyrus is actually taking a variety of classes but wants to go into law enforcement or, if his mother will allow it, the army. No one messes with him, mostly because he appears so imposing although he is a rather gentle giant. At the end of day he doesn’t hang out with anyone, just drives his mother’s Dodge Neon home and does his homework. As Henry and Mary torch their shameful report cards in the parking lot, Cyrus takes his home and shows his proud parents his straight A’s. He is good with computers and pretty much anything electronic, has what seems to be every game console known to man and keeps a dinosaur of a 1984 Macintosh in his room as a conversation piece. Needless to say he is God when he plays World of Warcraft, but not obsessively of course, someone has to take out the trash.
Clique: Nerd
Ten Years Later: Became a computer programmer after finishing basic training with the US Marine Corp, lives in Cupertino, CA with his golden retriever named Sandy, married to his job.

Emily Devereaux- Young Emily is the daughter of Andrew Devereaux, one of the most prominent, powerful lawyers in town, a man whispered by those in the know to be the most likely heir apparent to a soon-to-be-vacated Senate seat, and his wife, Elizabeth, the heiress to a fortune of “old money” and power from a well-known and established political family. A recent transfer student from a prestigious private school for girls, she is a bit sheltered and naieve in some ways, but is genuinely nice, and without pretense, her care and concern, and Mother Teresa-ish desire to save the world reflected in her many charitable and public service projects, and fundraisers. She’s a straight A student as well. Pretty and talented, she was destined for popularity from Day 1, and easily was elected as the Captain of the JV Cheerleading Squad. Yes, folks, she has great pompoms. smile.gif Currently, the trophy girlfriend of Senior Davion Murphy (whose hair is as great as her pompoms), she dreams of the day that this Prince Charming might come steal her away and ride off in the sunset with her in his red Mustang….but then again, what girl doesn’t?

Jeanine Stanton: A diva without all the pointless drama, Jeanine was singing before she could talk and dancing before she could walk. She's got sass, spunk, sex appeal, and although she is not conceited to the point of obnoxiousness, she knows she is 'destined for greatness' and has a...erm, healthy amount of self-confidence. The undisputed star and lead role in every school play and musical since she set foot in the school, if you are brave enough to challenge this leading lady on the stage, then you better bring your A-game because she does not back down when it comes to the spotlight. She's got a voice to rival the ages, powerful and soulful and definitely not made for the chorus or background. She's president of the top choir, and has the drama teacher and chorus directors snugly in her pocket. Her other teachers, however, are not so enchanted - Jeanine's main priority is most certainly not her studies. Who needs math and science when you're going to be a world famous artist and broadway extraordinaire? She is smart, but she doesn't give a shit enough to try, and often misses classes in favor of karaoke bars, singing gigs and dance recitals. She's the big cheese with the theatre, choir and art nerds, hangs out with all the sassy black girls and flamboyantly gay guys, and will generally get along with people so long as they don't get in her way. She doesn't smoke or do drugs for fear of damaging her voice, but she has been known to be the life of the party and get a little - or a lot - tipsy from time to time. This rising starlet is a force to be reckoned with, on stage and off.

Click here for the type of song Jeanine would write, compose and sing - she's a lover of the classics: R&B, soul and gospel, jazz; nostalgic for the '40's and the time of sexy, dynamic women like Marilyn Monroe and Bette Davis. She has been known to rock cherry red lipstick, stilettos and a sultry dress on her particularly diva-ish days.

With more scars on his knuckles than any boy his age cares to count or even needs to have, Daniel Helm is infamously known as a scrapper. With a swollen pride, unchallengeable ego and a temper to rival an angry hive of yellow jackets, Daniel has been expelled so many times his parents have given up and lost track. Danny’s broken more faces than he’s gotten A’s, his temper is so volatile it’s reached the point the teachers won’t even challenge him for his acting out. Despite his rugged and beaten persona Daniel’s family is well off, accounted for by the sleek 1969 Chevy impala that he drives to class and has been seen flashing around town. Running with the bikers Danny is normally clad in chewed up jeans, worn leather jackets and heavy riding boots. With grades that sustain themselves just from Danny’s half-assing, he spends most of the time running around with his girlfriend Mary McCarty and the pot head Henry kid in the parking lot. When Mary and he aren’t torturing the shit out of freshman they’re tangled in the back seat, drinking at the ridges, or speeding through town with no f*cks to give.

Gabriel Creed: Well. Gabriel would be the outspoken member of the rebels. He is a senior. He might smoke every now and then. And he certainly would drink too much. He's the kid that rides a motorcycle and tends to come from a broken home. He would be the perfect rebel with the exception that he does extremely well in school (when he actually attends) and he truly cares more about people and what they think than he tends to let on. He doesn't always sugar coat things and tends to speak his mind in every situation, which has gotten him into trouble at times. He comes off as the kind of guy that your mother warned you about. But all in all he's just really guarded. He doesn't like to show his emotions all that often. He knows how to fight really well because he has had to do it his entire life. And secretly he knows how to play the violin very well. tongue.gif He can be very charismatic and sexy. He has had trouble with the law. But then again in his household who hasn't? Think your ready to take him on? He's a strong willed person and a hard shell to crack. Let's see what you've got. ^_~

I couldn't resist >.<

Wen Ming Chen

A foreign exchange student from China, she speaks with a heavy accent and her difficulty with American idiom makes her shy of striking up conversations, though once she starts she can be thoroughly charming. Quirky, funny, and artistic, she wants to go in to computer animation and work for a company like Pixar or Disney, but her parents are pushing her in to medicine and she doesn't know how to say no. They used to be well off until some unfortunate investments are are hoping that their daughter will help to make good the family name again. She hangs out with oddballs, artists, and geeks; a network of the socially awkward and hard to place, though she gets along with most anyone. She has a bit of a crush on Russell Scarborough but is too shy to say anything about it, and knows nothing would ever come of it anyways since she's too focused on keeping up her GPA to get in to a good university.

Ten Years Later: As planned ended up graduating from John Hopkins and went into pediatric medicine. She loves her job, despite the fact it wasn't something she would have chosen herself. She's had one long term relationship that lasted off and on for three years, mainly because her mother was convinced he was a 'catch' and convinced her via nagging that his flaws could be changed. They lived together for six months and she dumped him after he hit her once. Shortly thereafter she relocated to Philadelphia to work at the Children's Hospital, widely regarded to be one of the best hospitals for pediatric medicine in the country.

Matilda Watson: As a very helpful individual, Mattie spent much of her high school career focusing on volunteering and community service. She could often be found running around with a clip board harassing people for signatures to save the whales or the trees, much to the annoyance of some other students. As such, her grades generally took a back seat, though she never outright quit school.
-------
Clique: Hippie

Ten Years Later: After completing high school, Mattie went straight to work for a non-profit organization in the city working at an after-school program to keep school children off the streets as well as distribute food, blankets, and other necessities to the homeless.

Eli Mitchell: After his mother died when he was young, Eli's home life with his father was nothing less than abusive. He kept this fact secret from teachers and 'friends' alike and would snap whenever someone inquired about his home life. He easily turned to smoking and drinking to give himself an escape. He generally kept his distance from other folks and got into fights at school often, eventually dropping out his junior year.
-------
Clique: Loners/drop-outs
-------
Ten Years Later: After being in and out of prison for various drug charges, Eli finally got up the courage to leave his home. After a stint in rehab, he now has a successful career as a bar tender at a high-end club. He still hardly talks to people.

Caoimhe Baillie: An Irish-born girl, Caoimhe moved to the States when her parents decided they wanted a change of scenery. A lover of music, she has learned to play several instruments, her favorite being the fiddle. Being easily bored with most of her classes, she tended to daydream a lot and ended up writing music quite often. Her free spirit saw her skipping class on more than one occasion. Her parents did little to discourage this behavior, as they were of the same mindset.
-------
Clique: Musicians
-------
Ten Years Later: Caoimhe now fronts a mildly successful folk rock group and writes much of their music which has a lot of Celtic influence. She tours the U.S. with the band and hopes to expand the tours to Europe, especially her native Ireland.

James Calveley: The son of a wealthy businessman, James always knew what he wanted to do. He was determined to become a lawyer. Or rather, his father was determined that James become a lawyer. He was an habitual straight-A student and did little socializing, even though he often found himself wishing he could join his peers on nights out.. His father's pushiness as to his grades didn't help the matter.
--------
Clique: Bookworm
-------
Ten Years Later: After scoring a scholarship to Yale (his father was an alum), James went straight to work on his law degree. His time at the school saw him begin to question his desire to become a lawyer. If anything, he was fascinated by his professors. Ever so quietly, he changed his career trajectory and now aims to become a university law professor.

Eliza Gamble: Eliza was odd. That's all there really was to say about her. She had a penchant for odd clothes and mannerisms and baking. She excelled at her home economic and English classes while others tended to fall to the wayside. She was always bringing in baked things and passing them around to folks, especially to the kids she worked with at a day care during the summer. She got into writing stories after finishing an English project and started writing stories for the kids she babysat.
-------
Clique: she gets her own clique!

Ten Years Later: Eliza has become the owner of a successful bakery and the author and illustrator of a series of children's books. All of which are about the adventures of a cat in a bakery.
