Unregistered	I've got a B-Movie that really surprised me when I first saw it. Redemption. Really cheesy acting (especially from the Confederate General guy whose trying to be a very facially expressive Jeff Bridges) and the action scenes are a little hokey but the plot is solid and feels like it should. And then there's Gunless. Only because that's where CKR is from. It's a Canadian western comedy and pretty good. Especially since it reunites Paul Gross and Callum Keith Rennie from Due South.

Heck Group: Townfolk Posts: 829 Member No.: 28 Joined: 1-February 11	I have heard from several history buffs that the most accurate portral of the west was the HBO TV hit series Deadwood. Movies I really like are Tombstone (f*in amazing), Open Range (Costner=Badass) and I also enjoyed Young Guns it was pretty accurate, Young Guns II was more for the sake of Hollywood blockbuster I think and the accuracy rule kinda went out the window though it was still a decent flick. I just saw The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance the other day, awesome John Wayne movie, True Grit is good too if the girl doesn't make you shoot yourself in the f*in head, the newer version is a little more digestable if you ask me.

Unregistered	I do like the western genre but so many of the movies can be kinda lame and overdone, so I don't watch too many of them. Deadwood really was the one western that grabbed me, and I use that as my guideline when writing during that era, whether it's here or in an RP about a lighthouse in Maryland in the 1870s. I agree about the newer version of True Grit. I loved Matt Damon in that movie, he made it for me. After I saw the movie in the theaters I said, "F***in Glenn Campbell!"

Unregistered	True Grit was good and so was Open Range =D I recommended to those who have not seen the TNT's mini movie series Into the West I say check it out cause it was awesome and still is awesome =D It's actually my favorite western movie of all time.

Unregistered	Ghost Rock, that's a good straight to DVD movie for anyone who has seen it. Kind of has a supernatural feel to it at certain times. Gary Busy I believe is the only BIG star in it. Also recommend Purgatory, very good made for TV movie with Wild Bill, Billy the Kid, Doc Holliday, & Jesse James in it.

Group: Lawman Posts: 77 Member No.: 166 Joined: 28-January 12	I agree with all of your selections so far. I love the AMC mini-series Broken Trail. It has Thomas Haden Church and Robert Duvall in it. It is freaking amazing. Oh. And The Magnificent Seven. The original with Yul Brenner, Steve McQueen, and etc. Not the remake that they made in the 90's.
