![]() Real Estate and Money Lending Neighboring the bank, the lending office of Thomas Keen portrays itself as a shining beacon of hope for those too high-risk to afford a loan from Mr. Henry Scarborough. Of course handing out high-interest loans to the good people of Buffalo Creek Bay isn't the only thing Keen's Enterprise and Lending is good for. Reasonably, given the aforementioned business, Thomas Keen also rents out property and may even sell given the proper proposal. The building is usually occupied by at least one of the men who serve as bothe reposessors and secretaries. If Mr. Keen is not available at the time, they will happily take your name and business and let him know, but they are not authorized to hand out loans or sell properties. Layout: The building is wood-walled and wood-floored and divided into a front and back room divided by a heavy, dark door. Entry Room: The main door is directly in the middle of the front wall with windows to its left and right, and the room is shaped like a small rectangle. The floor is bare and a small desk sits on an angle in the far right corner, facing the door. Two identical benches have their back to the wall before each window on either side of the door. On the wall opposite the front door there are many posters (pictures and words for the literate and illiterate alike) displaying available properties. In the leftmost corner, opposite the desk, is the door to the back room. Keen's Office: The back room, Keen's Office is as pictured above. Wood all around with a quaint rug on the floor, the room is lined on three walls by shelving space. There is a window beside the angled, oak desk that looks out to the lot behind the building and a floor lamp that can be lit for a little late-night paperwork. The cabinet behind the desk holds a safe and the shelves hold liquor. Other various drawers hold maps, forms and the like. ![]()
The staff at the Office can be employees of Mr. Keen working for an honest paycheck, or debtors, working to avoid jail or seizure. There is currently no IC staff working the Old Barom Farm. If you would like to apply your character as either, please leave a post [here] about it. |
