! GUIDELINES
1. Post a character audition using the Audition Template. This can be an old post or new sample, or it can be an Audition Challenge.
2. After that's approved by 2 admin, post a profile using the Profile Template.
3. Audition Challenges are completely optional, and are issued specifically when an admin wants to see more from an application. But everyone can post prompts in the Prompt Thread for fun!

Character acceptance will be determined by audition. Basically, if two out of the eight admin say yes, you're kosher. If two say no, thanks but no thanks, but you're welcome to try again! After your audition is accepted, please refer to the Profile Template for the second half of the character acceptance process. Two more admin must approve the profile, so before then you are not quite accepted. Minimum of 200 words, but don't think this is based on word count. I don't care how you get the character across, just get the character across. And don't steal, either; we'll be checking. Accepted auditions reserve the character for up to a week. But once your week is up, the character is up for grabs again and will be reserved on the next audition unless you post a profile ahead of them. Prompt Challenges: These are totally optional! If you want an admin or member to give you a prompt, post that you want an Audition Challenge. Otherwise, it's completely legitimate to write up something yourself or copy and paste a roleplay sample from another site (as long as it really is yours and it's for the character you're applying for). Please note that these do not act as reservations of any kind, and you still have to get the audition approved in order to have the character reserved for one week. Post your audition in a separate thread here in the Workplace. CANONS:
Use other canons wisely. The spotlight should be on YOUR character. Be awesome and we won't ask for a history or personality in the final profile. Be borderline (and/or need to try a few times to get the character) and you will have to provide a history and/or personality to ensure that you know the character. Additionally or in lieu of that, a staff member may want to roleplay out a scene with you or challenge you to put the character in a scenario of their choosing. ORIGINAL CHARACTERS/OTHER CANONS:
Use a canon in the audition if you need it, but be smart about it and don't let them steal the show. If you want Zexion to show up and glub all over your character, you won't get accepted, I mean really. But having them spot a major canon briefly, encountering the White Rabbit for a moment, or any other believable (and minor) character interaction is fine. If you're borderline and we're not sure, the staff may want to roleplay out a scene with the character or challenge you to put the character in a scenario of their choosing. Audition Contests:
