This place seemed a little bit like Twilight Town to Roxas. That is, if Twilight Town has been thrown back a lot of years--Roxas was not sure how to even make an estimate of how many it might have been--and replaced all of the familiar terraces with older structures. Unlike the other town, this place had a more startling centerpiece: a castle. Although the only castles he had experience with looked vastly different from this, he could pinpoint the features, such as majestic stonework and spires that reached up into the sky. As he wandered out from his point of entry, wisps of the darkness licking at the heels of his tennis shoes, he could see that it was probably even taller than the clock tower he and spent countless days sitting on top of.
If he were to go up that high to enjoy sea salt ice cream with Axel or Hayner, he would really have to worry about pitching himself right off the edge. Not that he could see any ice cream vendors around to do that with on the unlikely event that the castle would take kindly to someone just wandering in and trespassing onto what was probably a defense structure of some sort. He knew that sort of behavior would not fly if someone did it on another castle he was much more familiar with. Saix would likely express his disapproval for such a thing when--not if--he caught someone doing that. Not that sitting on high and watching the sunset was any fun on one's own, Roxas thought with a frown. Even back at that observatory, he had met that weird alien girl that kept him company despite of all her weird traits. Now he was just on his own once again. This was what he wanted, right? To find out his own reasons for being on his own, as well as to find out what had become of Sora since he was clearly walking around as if they had never been together at all, right? Now, it just seemed easier said than done to him, with his knowledge of what had become Sora seeming the least of his concerns as he started down the cobblestone pathways of the streets of this place. There was only so much "soul searching" he could put up with doing, and it seemed more like the thing he was supposed to do before a huge event rather than what his mind was telling him to do. He did not know where any of this was going, much like he did not know where in the world his feet were taking him in this kind of quaint old-timey castle town--but action was better than nothing. Maybe he could take on a more active approach, he thought to himself. He was going to go out and look for Sora himself, or just find Axel and speak to him about what in the world was going on. Stopping near the stone wall that he assumed served as a division between castle and town, Roxas gazed up at the huge structure, wondering how he could actually utilize the scant surveillance skills that he had been trained in to actually gather information. What had Vexen actually gone on about? EXP: 544 Total EXP: 544+5224=5768 |
