"The darkness around her was too strong to defy; she was the link of a bicycle chain, she couldn't break off and someone kept peddling her around in a cycle of destruction."

Nickname(s)/Alias: (optional)

Character age:

Loyalties: Indefinite

Weapon: Claws, head, those sorts of things.

Abilities:

Her Cursed Form lvl1: Able to compress her body into a flat puddle making her able to dodge attacks unless she is walked on or stabbed while flat. (Will eventually change her form as a heartless.)

Her exalted Darkness lvl1: The power holding her as a shadow keeps her as a shadow. Unable to be harmed by ordinary objects and must instead be hurt by designated weapons. (will eventually give her types of darkness abilities.)

Her Hidden Light lvl: The power to release her from darkness. Able to gain memory and will of her own. (will eventually free her of heartless form, one day)

Personality: Going by the now, this shadow of a person is only able to recognize herself as a she and that she was at one point filled with light, but even on a blank slate of personality she feels the need to become whole once more. Her two years as a shadow heartless have given her the powers of a normal shadow heartless, but she doesn't view herself as more than a conscience with the darkness around her and light to fill her up. These powers of hers can both release her trapped mind from it's cage of reflected thinking and further close that cage until she is once more a mindless monster consuming all in her path.

She's built to find that balance between dark and light, for both exploration into the being and being the one she finds herself to be. (.>.) In other words she is very selfish in the way she can only understand perception as herself not being filled but also having something beyond filling herself. The way she interacts with others is based on their light and darkness values, sort of like a piece of art, she will react to personality and portrait, seeing and feeling the very edges of those she finds. Which means she's very reactive to anything around her.

This difference between her and normal shadow heartless is that she is very self aware compared to any heart bound by darkness. She's one of the few exceptions to loosing the vessel that contained the heart; her darkness dins her form instead of binding awareness of being. It's a rather odd cycle between wanting to be, being, and finding she is inadequate and must start the cycle again. Her cycle branches out when ever her level of freedom changes. That means she will warm up to being a person rather than a stranded conscientiousness over time of seeing and reacting to light and dark people. Villains have a negative effect on her and continue to bind her form as a heartless and send her through the cycles of awareness while hero's and people free to be have the very opposite effect in letting her personality and memory reform into an actual character. Though she will never be able to return to the days of her ignorance to the darkness beyond her world, she could in theory become much more of a person than she once was in the way she would remember being a heartless and a person. (Hence our little exception to the heartless rule.) And after this long winded reflection upon an always moving surface of the character's pond of personality, I will take any questions you got. .>.

History

Always woried about everyone elses' opinion, the young girl of 14, miss Amalia Aribella Avnanson was constantly stuggling with her reputation in school. The young Amalia was teased for her initials, and like a triple A battery she was charged up by the bullies, although she could never let the anger boxed inside her escape and rampage. Miss Amalia grew up in a small town known to have strange occult activities. Through the winter months everyone was cooped up inside like 10 chicken nugets in a small box fit for half, they didn't pay attention to these events.

In the summer, however, Amalia was prone to investigating every strange thing her small world had to offer. Never telling a soul about her findings, Amalia lead a second life outside school and girl politics. Everything about the extraordinary and unpredictable fascinated her.

One day however there was a dark storm rolling over the sky above her town. The people considered it just a bad thunderstorm, but for Amalia it was an excuse for her parents to trap her inside. What was she going to do inside of all places. There was nothing to do in that small town except from pray and be a good girl. She'd had enough of listening to other people rage on about fashion while others raged on about how ungodly fashion was. There was no future for her there. Amalia ran away.

She kept running from there, just away and further away than she'd ever been. The storm above her head was a waterfall from the sky, pouring down oceans of water droplets at a time. By the time she was a mile from her home, she was a mess of wet clothes and hair.

Maybe it wasn't such a good idea. What was I thinking?! Amalia returned to her home town, but she wasn't about to walk through the front door of her home and beg for forgiveness. Her parents probably didn't know she was outside in the warm rain. Near her was the library, closed on Sunday, but its roof extended just far enough just enough for her to sit and dry off outside the glass doors.

She peered inside, but she found only the darkness. A small shadow jumped inside, peering around the corner with a black hand. Amalia flinched back surprised there was a small animal inside. The librarians wouldn't take kindly to a wet cat or dog chewing or clawing away books. If that cat got inside than I bet I could! Amalia walked around the building but found no entrance. It simply wasn't possible that the creature got inside on its own. There had to be an entrance somehow. But the longer she searched the more she was wet from standing in the rain.

The rain fell all day, even when she returned home disappointed that there wasn't anything to really return to. Amalia used her window to get back inside. So far her parents didn't notice she was gone, but the water all over the floor would have been a give away. Amalia took off her clothes and dressed in similar looking threads. Her hair was still wet however. Maybe i can hope into the shower really fast. But a knock on her door alerted her. She ran to the window and pocked her head outside.

Her father entered the room.

"You're really quiet today. Is it because it's raining outside and that you can't go anywhere?" Her father had a gentle way t ask things.

"No I'm just washed out." She tried lightening her own mood, but inside there was a cold feeling, like when someone says goodbye and they are gone for a really long time.

"You should really get your head inside, don't want you to be struck by lightning accidentally, or fall out."

"This is the first floor. It's not like I could break my neck. Lightning doesn't sound that bad either, didn't it give that one guy the ability to read a women's mind in that tone movie?"

"We both know things like that aren't real." He sat beside her and they both had their heads sticking out the window in the warm rain. "Ya know it really stinks that the library has Sunday as the due date for the stuff i checked out. Isn't it like cheating or something?"

"You came in here to ask me?" Amalia shrugged and continued to stare at the dark clouds rolling above them. "Sure, I guess that is kind of cheating. I'll take what ever it is to the library tomorrow." Amalia would at least find out what happened to that cat.

"No, I came in here to ask you why you ran away. Dinner has been sitting on the table for about an hour now. You're mother is unhappy to say the least of it."

"Oh." Amalia should have known they'd check on her, but why didn't they go after her like normal parents? "Hey I could have been stuck in a ditch right now and dying, why didn't you come after me?"

"Because I knew you would come back."

"That's a pretty big gamble." Wow, was she really that predictable?

"Hey look, you're not grounded. You're mom may not have the same opinion but I know you don't like this town at all and being home isn't the greatest. I tried to do it myself once. It didn't quiet work out for me, but I understand what going on at least."

Of course, this made him the greatest father ever.

The next day, Amalia was up and about. Returning a few thing to the library gave her all the time she needed to investigate. But what she discovered was as surprising as finding a demon in the bathroom. The entire library was carved up and shredded as if everything was sen though the shredder. How in the world could a cat or dog done something so destructive over night. Perhaps the librarians would answer.

Going up to one of them, she asked but everyone was stunned. Amalia told to leave the library so that animal control could take care of the problem, just in case the animal was still inside. Amalia felt responsible for the incident, she could have called animal control or gone to her parents to prevent such a thing.

Maybe she could catch it, to make sure it wouldn't do anymore harm. She returned to the library, but as it was there were allot of people there wanting to see what happened. Amalia slipped inside, but ever there she wasn't alone. She hid behind rows of book shelves to avoid someone seeing her and removing her from the library.

Around the corners of the building she caught the shadow of the small creature and followed it. It was rather difficult to see; it blended in with the shadow so easily. But when she finally cornered it, the creature was not what looked like a cat or dog. It was ke a demon with yellow eyes and claws.

"What is that?" Amalia turned to run but the creature was upon her. And around the library other screams were louder than her's. There was more than one beast in the building, but she wasn't concentrated on that amount, but rather worried for her life. Amalia couldn't escape them as they appeared from puddles on the ground. The beasts attacked her, until she fell into an endless abyss. Amalia was no longer a human; she was heartless.

For the next two years she spent her time as a beast of the darkness, consuming and destroying the town and then the world. What were friends soon joined her in the destruction of the world.

But after it was decaying into nothingness she felt something inside, almost compelled to cry. Going against the nature of her dark beings, these feelings tugged back on the bonds over her heart. She was able to think on her own, but in a limited away. She knew that consuming hearts was dividing by zero, endless and impossible to solve any problems.

She wanted to break away from the darkness, but it was too strong for her to defy at first, but the more she was around the light and without consuming it she could retain more thoughts and see those old memories that sunk into her darkness. However near creatures of evil she was forced back into the darkness loosing new thoughts and actions.

She knew not what would become of her, but her only hope was becoming something.
