Hi,
I just managed to register my Bluetooth PC Dialer. Had a problem with that when I was logged in at work. I think it was because of proxy settings on our network. I friend at work told me that most software uses the settings in the browser you have when contacting internet. It seems like this is not the case with Bluetooth PC Dialer, becase when I made the registration directly connected to the internet, it worked. This might be something to implement or put in the FAQ. Now to my problem: I'm calling in to a lot of phone meetings and in that case you have to enter a pin code when you are connected. On my mobile phone I can enter the letter "p" for pause in between the phone number and the pin code but when I try to send this with the PC Dialer it does not work. I.e: 023123456p111222# results in that 023123456111222# will be sent to the mobile phone. Is this something that's will be possible in a future release? If not, please consider to add this feature. Regards Anliss |

When communicating with the phone we use something called AT-commads and we follow that standard. However many phone manufactures have their own AT commands and some of them do nor 100% fullfill the standard so we cannot offer all feaures for all phones. So the decision we have taken is to use the standard functinality and pause is not a part and how to do it on the phone will vary on differents phone.
So I am sorry but this is nothing we will add. /BlueShareware |

WOW, that's not a very complicated request...
Anyway, I've been debuggin my Generic Motorola phone which doesnt work with BPD, all calls are bound to the bluetooth sesson and start as "DATA CALLS"...Well, being that I'm a freelance moto developer I knew right away that you werent setting the device into accessory mode which almost 100% of moto cell phones will require to work with your product...simply initialize the modem with AT+MODE=2 and all moto phones will work. I was VERY surprized to see that you are NOT honoring the com port init string built into windows, whats the point in that? Anyway, mode2 allows the bluetooth connection to come down without terminating the call as well as placing a voice call instead of a data call. I searched my machine and registry and couldnt find an init string for your app, is there a way for me to fix this issue without you having to recomple? It doesnt seem like this app is supported...at all. |

We are working on a new verions that will be released within a few days. In this version you can set a specific user dial string. So 023123456p111222# should not be any problem.
We will also take a look at your AT+MODE=2 suggestion for the release. You can actually use the user dial string to get AT+MODE=2 but if you are right we should always start with AT+MODE=2. We have focused our development on Phone remote control but I am glad that we finally can do this great new release. /BlueShareware |
