Rules for the Role Plays, Away to help govern the site

Again with people requesting the rules and with them being found under many different sections and titles, we did this to make them easier to find and follow.

1: First and for most rule we ask is to try and keep this a literate site. We known that there are the odd times when you cannot think of the right way to reply to a post, but we ask that you at least try to post more than one or two sentences per post.

2: There is to be no use of chat speak i.e., u, 4, n/m in the role-plays.

3: Godmoding or power playing is strictly unacceptable. Unless you can provide enough back up for your character, then do no state that she/ he is all powerful, can never be hurt, can never die or that they are perfect in every way. Everyone has flaws, even the characters we create. By doing any of the above, it just takes the fun out of role-playing.

4: There is to be no killing or bringing a character back to life, unless you check with the character’s owner to see if he/she agrees.

5: Erotic fiction is also allowed, as long as it is done with some type of tastefulness, like romance in the role-plays.

6: If a board says Private, then it is private, Semi-Private, pm the creator and ask to join. If there is no title like that then the role-play is open to anyone.

7: Age limit. You must post an age limit in the Title or subtitle of the role-play topics. This gives and idea as to what content will be in the role-play. Boards without age limits can result in warnings and possible deletion of the board.
The ratings are as follows:
All Ages= Obviously designed for all ages, no swear words, no serious violence only humerous light stuff, and don't go over board with some of the more 'higher' grammar, not all youngsters know them

12+ = Slightly more developed grammar, some serious violence, some swearing but limited, no nudity unless it's in an art form (posing for a non-sexually related photo shoot/painting)

15+ =some sexual references, no violence limits, but no actual intercourse, no swearing limits except on anything overly excessive.

18+ = Anything goes so long as it's within the usual rules, as in no intended racism or anything based solely on sex or violence.

8: Any out of character posts in a role-play should be typed in out of character contexts. To indicate this use brackets ((….)) or type OOC|…. Fill the dots in with what you would like to say.

9: Boards that do no receive a post with in a period of seven days will be deleted. Make out of character post with in the last few days of the seven-day limit to keep the board alive if you wish it not to be deleted.

10: Violence is allowed, so go out and start battles and wars if you like in your role-play. They can get as gory and bloody as you want as long as it is with in the age limit you have stated.

More rules will be added as the needs arise.

11: Please do not make any new boards until you have made damn sure that you have responded to all the role plays you are currently in and maybe holding up. An exception to this rule would be if you message me and ask for an okay or if I or another admin tries to instigate some action between all the role players to give more role play options and get others to know eachother and the shy members a chance to join in.

12. Please do not flood the site with boards that are made up and no one replies to them. I really don't want to have to start putting a cration limit on boards. And also, I have said this countless times before, notify Flaming_phoenix or myself, Angel with any boards that you wish to be deleted or closed. Especially those that aren't recieving posts.

13. Please, and I know I should have had this one put up before now, ask to join a role play that has 6 or more posts from at the same users back to back. This is just being courteous when it comes to a role play that may have developed a plot between the participants. Even if the board does not say private after there are 6 posts form the same bunch of users please ask.

Failure to follow these rules time and time again will lead to a suspension from the boards and an ultimate dismissle.

I full heartedly support these rules. However, I'd like to add one more to cover any sticky areas:

The Golden Rule: In the event of anyone trying to bend the rules, bugging other roleplayers in a deliberate fashion or generally being a pest other roleplayers are asked to report them to a Mod. The Mod will then apply a punishment as seen fit. Continued misbehaviour will be reported to an Admin by the mods and you risk losing your user AND being IP banned. Yes, I have that power and so do the Admins!!!!



It doesn't matter if you've actually broken a rule or not, coming here with an unsporting attitude is as bad as being abusive. Roleplayers are free to be part of a community without people who try to push the envelope when it comes to bad behaviour.
