"No WAY! Gimme, I want it!"
"No, it's MINE. I said no. STOP! MOM!"

She just smiled as she sipped at her coffee, reading from a book she had gripped tightly in her white hands. Her eyes lifting only because the children across the coffee shop were so loud she could hear them over the music she was listening to. Her blue eyes wondered back to the book as she turned the page, lowering her head a bit as she resting it on her hand, a sigh escaped from her mouth as she turned the page again. It had been an hour already and her sister was late, more so than usual. It was not like her to be late, but she didn’t worry. She ran her hand across her temple under the beanie she was wearing. She felt the bruise that would soon be noticeable to everyone. Again she sighed. What an annoyance they were, all of them. Such childish people, humans.

She was torn from her thoughts as a hand was waved in front of her face. “Hey… Are you in there?” She blinked as, looking up, she noticed her sister standing there with a bag over her shoulder and her long blonde hair in a mess. It was amazing how much they looked alike now, being Sola [the sister] was 4 years younger. They both looked around 19. Their eyes were the same shade of blue and their hair was the same color and length. It even had the same wave to it. The only difference was that Sola had her entire life ahead of her and she didn’t. Sola was still ageing and she [Misty] would forever be the same.

Misty tugged at her earphones, pulling them from her ears as she spoke, “Hi. You’re late.” She grinned as she snapped the book shut, pushing it in Sola’s direction who shoved it into her bag without thinking. “How is life treating you? I have not seen you in months.” Misty asked as she watched her sister sit down.

Sola sighed as she tossed her bag to the ground, as if a huge weight had been lifted. “Rough.” She said insipidly as she took in a deep breath, looking around then at Misty’s coffee, taking a drink. “I got held up in class, it usually ends at 8:00, but I had extra work to do.” Sola smiled at her sister as she placed the coffee back in front of her. “Then I ran into a few people, hence the me being late part." She said as she leaned back in her chair, finally beginning to relax. She knew that something was up, because Misty didn’t call her out of the blue just to see how she was doing or how things were going. She just shrugged the thought away as she removed a few layers to where she was only wearing a white t-shirt. She looked over at her sister who was wearing the same except her shirt was black, but there was no jacket, no coat to go over the jacket, no gloves. There was an obvious reason. New York was cold, but only to those who could really feel and Misty couldn't feel anymore.

ooc| XD I have not Roleplayed in forever, wow. I am way rusty. And I am kinda new, a little out of the loop. This rating the RP stuff is totally confusing, but that's cool. Um.. and yeah. -I hope I don't suck-

“Too bad I wasn’t one of those people.” Came the soft voice from the form of a young man. A board smile spread across his face as he swept his long jet hued and silver streaked locks from his heart shaped face with his hand. The locks were tucked away gently behind his right ear to reveal a pair of startling blue eyes that glimmered with untold youth and energy. Chuckling he moved towards the table that the two women sat at. “Now, I thought my mind was just playing tricks on me when I thought I saw someone I knew dart into this tiny quaint shop. But low and behold, I was right.”

“Now fancy meeting you two ladies here.” He smirked as he pulled a chair up sat down at the table with them. His gaze traveled between Misty and Sola taking them both in as if judging them. The nodding finally stopped, as he seemed to reach a conclusion. “Now you…” He started as he point and gazed over to Misty. “You look pretty much exactly as I last remember seeing you last. But you…” he paused as he turned his profile to Sola. “Not quite as I remember you… Got a little taller did you?” He smiled at her. “I mean last time I caught a glimpse of you you were about this height.” He marked out the level with his left hand and nodded. “Yep definitely taller and little older too.”

He paused for a breath and eyed Sola again as he gently rubbed his chin in thought before asking. “So how old are you now any way. You got be what… around my age? Well age as in looks of course.” He corrected quickly, implying that his age wasn’t nearly as close to his looks of a 19 year old boy. He shook his head slowly causing the mid-cheek long locks to drift irritantly back over his eyes but at the same time falling away from the thin scar that ran from over his right eye down his right cheek. “You probably don’t even remember who I am.” He added as he brushed the locks away from his face again. “I mean the last time I saw you was before moving into that old mansion of Thomas’s. And that was a while ago.”

Smiling he turned to look at Misty to add “But it wasn’t that far back that I saw you last Misty.” Aw yes, Death, or to other people known as Tom, was in one of his upbeat moods and there was really only one thing to knock him down from it. But at this point in time the one thing was nowhere around. “He fussed for a moment with his light blue sweater and once settled that it was fine, glanced amongst the pair and asked. “So how have things been for you two? Any thing new?” He shifted on the chair once, glanced around as if keeping an eye out for someone, course he had good reason to. For some odd reason Death was never to really be seen alone in the Big Apple, he himself usually made it a goal to bug and pester a certain vampire that infamously well known in the city. Only problem that ended with was an occasional attack that was not seen coming from the said vampire. Declaring himself safe of this brief moment in time, Death settled back comfortably into the chair that he had chosen as he awaited his replies.

Misty grinned happily as she turned his direction, her eyes brightening as she looked him over. "Hello Tom." As the name slipped from her lips a smile crept across Sola's face. "Hello." She echoed as well, her eyes gleaming just as bright. Sola pushed her hair away from her eyes as she nodded. "It has been a long time, yes." She too looked him over as she added. "You look very different. Last time I saw you... you didn't look so innocent." She just smirked as her hands reached for Misty's coffee once more. "And I am eighteen. I will be nineteen in a matter of months." Sola's eyes wondered to her sister as she added, "And I am very surprised that you could tell us apart. It has been difficult for some people lately."

An annoyed sigh came from Misty as she shook her head, her hand wondering to it once again. "Of course he knows Sola. He is Tom. No, what is it now? Death?" She asked as she turned to look at him, her mood was lifting as she began to forget what she came here to do. Her hands wondered to her pockets as her sister just looked back at Tom smiling. "I have been good. Night school, juggling a few jobs, but it keeps me busy. I like it, though I am not all that sure what Misty has been up to. We aren't living together anymore." Sola said as she looked back to her sister.

Misty just shrugged as she smiled. "Things have been crazy for me. I am living with my friend Marius. He has been going through a lot and I have been trying to help him out, but nothing seems to be helping. It is a little complex, but I am working on it." She forced a grin as she went on, "other than that not to much. I was thinking about taking up a Job to pass the time, but I don't think the time is right." Misty leaned back as she looked out the window a moment, thinking everything over before she asked, "What about you? Anything new, or interesting?"

ooc| I totally am excited. ^.^

Death smiled as he leaned back and propped his chair up on the two rear legs, balancing it gently as he mused over his name. “Aww, now there my friend is a name I have not heard in a long time.” Carefully attempting not upset his delicate balancing act; he crossed his arms behind his head and chuckled. “Still nice to hear it once in a blue moon though.” And just for the hell of it he tested the name with his own lips, drawing the word out slowly and smoothly. “Tooommmmm.” Smiling he added. “Feels strange to say it too.”

Death chuckled at her comment about how his appearance had changed as well. “Well I think that last time we met up Sola, I looked the exact twin to Tommy boy. Only having a scar making the difference between us two. Well, that and the fact that I had much better fashion sense. I mean the black on black look is so over rated and just over in general. You’d thing a guy that had lived as long as he has would have picked up staying with the fashion trends.” A soft sigh was expressed through his lips as he shrugged. “Guess some people just never change or learn as in his case.”

He nodded as Sola gave her age to him. “Aww nineteen. That’s my age… well not exactly but I think you can guess where I am going with that.” A coy grin spread over his face as he spoke, clearly showing he was enjoying his newfound company. His gaze slid to Misty as he nodded. “ Yes sir, just plain old Death, but if you want to get technical you can add my last name O’Conner. That part of my name didn’t change much, just the spelling and pronunciation from O’Connor.”

Finishing that sentence he glanced back to Sola and began his explanation of how he knew which one of them was who. “Now you see Sola,” He began as he sat up a little straighter in the chair still taking the time and caution to remember that he was balancing only on the pair of legs. “I’m not like other people. I mean if I were what good would I be as a reaper? As some people like to call me… but I prefer angel of death which is my title, not just my name.” He paused and glanced amongst the two and shook his head. “Story for another time and completely off the topic I’m getting with that there, advent babbler is I.” Came the laughing voice as he chided himself.

“But telling you apart… that’s my specialty.” He began again with a smug grin. “See though your physical appearance may change… aura’s more often than not don’t. I deal a lot in auras, mostly looking at them rather then people when I need to find a certain soul. It… kinda works like Super-man’s x-ray vision, in the fact that I don’t use it all the time but when needed. Makes for looking for those lost souls easier as they don’t have a physical appearance.” He nodded as he listened to Sola relate what had been happening in her life and glanced to Misty as she took her turn to speak.

“Marius….” He drawled the word as his brow knit in thought. “Think I heard tale of his name once from Tommy boy. Not much but the name actually.” He stated coolly and went on to say. “Complex is my middle name… ahh actually I don’t have one, but if I did it would be complex. What with my history and all.” He laughed lightly before adding. “I’m sure you’ll come up with something in the end Misty.” He leaned back a little further on the back of the chair as he crossed his hands behind his head and smiled. “Anything new? Anything new… Well let’s see here…” He paused in deep thought as his mind tracked over the period from the last time they had met. “Not much for me actually. Well I was a phantom there for a bit thanks to a lovely duck of slayer trying to kill me and not quite doing that properly. I mean you need to actually cut off my wings, which I have taken to not displaying as much anymore since that little stunt, to make me mortal and then ram a dagger through my heart or what ever lese there is to kill a human these days. But I’m not complaining, I mean I am still alive. But Tommy boy did he ever get his ass kicked there. I mean… ”

The words where silenced and cut short as the chair suddenly lurched from beneath him, sending him flying backwards to the ground with a loud crash and oommfff as the air rushed out of his lungs from the impact. He blinked stupidly for a moment in his stunned state and added “ouch.” As his fuzzy vision began to clear and a scowling figure loomed over him. A tense smile crossed his lips as his voice squeaked out softly like a mouse. “Speak of the devil.” So apparently his chair had not fallen out from under him, but had in fact been rudely and abruptly kicked out. “That wasn’t very nice.” He muttered under his breath as he picked himself up off the floor and righted his chair underneath the angered gaze of the vampire.

“In case you forgot.” The vampire snapped in a sour mood. “I’m not very nice to begin with.”

Sola smiled and tucked her hands under her chin, her elbows resting on the table as Death talked. Misty sat, leaning back relaxed as her eyes wondered to the window every few minutes, but she was still intensely listening. "An Angel of Death are you?" Said Sola as she grinned thinking about it for a second. Her eyes wondering to his shoulders when he mentioned wings, but she kept smiling as she let her gaze return to his face.

Misty grinned as she listened to him tell how he could tell them apart, her hands swaying as she leaned back a little further, her ears twitching lightly under her hat as she watched him. "I don't suppose you would hear much about Marius from Tommy." She just smiled gently as she spoke. "He went a little crazy a while ago. His personality somewhat split. It is crazy how I end up dating a double." She finally let herself laugh as she thought about it, her eyes wondered to her sister who was lifting an eyebrow at her which caused her to abruptly stop. "But he is learning to control it, a little. I hope." She shrugged as she let her hands slide into her pockets.

Sola sighed as she looked back at Death as he began to talk about Tommy, and jumped as the chair flew out from under him. Misty's eyes widened as she looked up to see who their new guest was. She smiled as she watched him, strangely happy, her eyes shining as she leaned forward in her chair.

The vampire listened as Misty spook and then bending at the waist reached down as he spoke. “Split personalities generally aren’t entirely fun.” He uttered the statement as pale fingers dug into the soft material of the collar of the shirt. “Like this one for instance.” He grumbled as he yanked on the shirtfront that he grasped and pulled Death up off the floor to his feet. He let go of the shirt as Death grumbled something of a thank you under his breath and brushed at rumpled shirt as Tommy turned to the girls.

He offered a simple but gentle smile as he righted Death’s chair took his place at the table leaving Death standing. “Hello Sola, Misty.” He spoke in a warm toned voice, quite the contrast to the one he had just used with Death. He looked directly now to Misty and spoke calmly. “So you are having a bit of an issue from what I heard when I stepped in?” He questioned lightly. His smile broadens as he heard Death muttering to himself and then proceeds to pull up a new chair beside the vampire.

Death sighed as he situated himself next the vampire at the table and looked to Sola to answer her question. “Yes, and angel of Death. Collect the souls, show them to their prospected places, even do a bit of killing.” He frowned as he turned his gaze to Tommy and socked him in the shoulder for good sport. “And who in hell’s name do you think you are, that you can walk right in and treat me like that?” He demanded shortly at the vampire, who simply smirked his replay. “You don’t expect me to answer that do you?” Death frowned deeper and folded his arms over his chest and huffed. “Well no, but one day I might surprise you and say yes. Then what will you do?” He fired back smugly at the once counter part.

Tommy only managed a shrug for this response as Death turned to Misty. What does any body see in this lug?” He questioned quickly. “Cause I don’t see a thing.”

Misty watched as Tommy went to pick up Death's chair. Her eyes followed him as he moved, smiling politely as she shrugged. "Tell me about it. I always seem to fall in love with someone who ends up being someone else. Literally. You may be my only exception." Her eyes fell away from Tommy as she quickly moved her hands behind her head. "And issues? Yes, but nothing I have not dealt with before. I may remind you about Spyder, though you might not remember. It was a few years ago. He was the most dangerous of them all, but then again Marius keeps getting weaker and whatever it is that is growing inside of him is getting stronger." She let her fingers run across her temple as she grinned. "I keep him somewhat sane though. When he is not trying to kill me, he is pretty sweet." She winced a little as she spoke. Her tongue rolling with the words, letting them slip out like butter, but avoiding all emotion as she talked.

Sola had nodded a hello in return to Tommy's hello smiling brightly as he spoke, but the smile quickly faded as Misty began to talk showing very clearly how little she was in the loop now. Sola’s mouth dropped open as Misty mentioned Spyder. She used to cower at the thought of him and now she was speaking of him as if he was just like anyone else. She shrugged it off. She would bring it up later. Sola's eyes still watch her sister as Misty grinned at Tommy’s and Deaths conversation.

“You two really are a sight for sore eyes.” Said Misty as she leaned forward on her hands, her chin resting in her palm as she took in a deep breath, her mind wondering to Death’s next question and a small smile slipped its way onto her face. “What don’t you see?” She asked as she glanced at Tommy.

She waited a moment before adding, “So how have you keeping yourself lately? Things going well?” Her ears twitched underneath her hat as she blinked a few times realizing she hadn’t.

Tommy smiled with a mile long grin and chuckled gently. “Well I don’t know about that. I mean after all I wasn’t exactly myself thanks to Death over here.” He cast a glance to the angel just long enough to make a moment of eye contact before looking back to Misty. “Kinda hard to me someone you should be with a little voice nattering in the back of your mind. But we have that problem solved now.” A puzzled and quizzical expression held his face as she mentioned Spyder. He shook his head slowly as he started. “I’m sorry, but you’ve never mentioned him to me.”

He paused as she went on and questioned lightly. “Most dangerous of them all? Do I dare to even ask…How many exactly were or are there?” His grin faded to a soft warm smile as he watched her speak of Marius and trail her fingers over her temple. Sighing softly he proceeded to speak in his warm velvet soft deep toned voice. “Really do care for this Marius character don’t you?” He didn’t need her to tell him the answer he already knew. Death cocked a brow as he watched the vampire muse over his thoughts before he spoke again. “Aye, I miss having someone care like that for me from time to time.” He shrugged softly. “Unfortunately my life style doesn’t exactly meet the standards for a relationship like that.”

Death shifted uncomfortably in his seat as Tommy spoke. A squirm here a wiggle there and finally he couldn’t take biting his tongue any longer. “Well it’s your damn stupidity that causes your life to be the way it is. I mean you suffer from major A.S.S. buddy. Could it kill you to grow up just a little bit and be a better guy.” He cringed as the words stopped and he noticed the glare of the vampire zeroed in upon him. He gave a light tense laugh and winced as he waited for the well-deserved blow to come his way, squeezing his eyes shut tight against the pain. The pain… wait there was no pain. He carefully opened one eye and peered at the dark figure beside him and instead of a look of rage saw one of questioning upon the pallid visage. “A.S.S.?” Was all the vampire the vampire said at first. At a length he then added, “What the hell is that?”

Death merely chuckled first and then grinned as he sat up a little taller in his chair. “As if you don’t know was A.S.S. is.” He stated proudly. His smile only increased as the vampire shook his head slowly in a confused fashion. “Ah HA!” He shouted triumphantly, ignoring the stares of other costumers in the café, attracted to their table by his out burst. “I finally know something you don’t know. But A.S.S. since you so nicely asked and stated that you all mighty one did not know what it stands for is quite simple.” Clearing his throat he stated in a very formal manner. “A.S.S. appropriately stands for Accelerated Stupidity Syndrome.” He settled down and grinned. “There you have it A.S.S.”

Tommy blinked momentarily and nodded slowly. “Oh.” Was all that was said before a yelp of sharp pain was given from Death as the vampire drew back a fist and punched him square in the jaw. “That was for calling me stupid.” He stated as he dusted his hands off in a very official matter and Death now rubbed tenderly at the sore and reddening area on his jaw. They both glanced up to Misty as spoke about them being a sight for sore eyes and each in turn smiled and blushed gently at the comment

Death shook his head as he watched Misty’s gaze return to Tommy and she asked her question. With a huff her waved the question off and stated softly. “Oh… never mind.” Tommy himself chuckled at the fact that Death could not find himself able to answer her question. “Well there is a first time for everything.” He muttered quietly and ignoring the glare shot at him from the angel of Death at his side.

Tommy’s attention and gaze quickly returned to Misty as she spoke to him. He smiled sheepishly at her questions and spoke. “Busy for the most part. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.” He stated a little dis-hartenly. It was Death who spoke up where the vampire left. “Would you believe it? Some kid actually knocked off the big bad vamp of New York City.” Tommy blatantly stared at Death, which usually was a sign to stop, but this sign when unheeded. “I’m serious, some puck ass kid actually managed to him.” Tommy sighed as Death looked over to vampire as he hung his head in hands. “Well not efficiently kill him. I mean here he is today, but that took some string pulling on Marius and my part.” He took a breath to carry on. “SO we worked a deal to keep him on this plane of existence, only problem is that Tommy’s body was pretty much all but entirely destroyed in the battle. And what was left of it couldn’t house his soul. So Tommy boy became like a body hopper for a bit. Only problem there was that the bodies his soul generally entered, cast the original soul out and slowly and the body though living seemed to decay at an accelerated rate, leaving him only a few days or weeks before he had to find a new body. But for some reason, every body he took the eyes would go blind, we still haven’t quite figured out the reason for that.”

He grinned as he spoke clearly enjoying putting Tommy through a quick Cole’s notes version of the last few months. “Then poor seemingly defenseless mortal body Tommy was preyed upon by a psycho lycan, who wasn’t known to be a lycan at the time, just a murderous young teen mugger. As the knife penetrated Tommy’s body, killing it, he jumped into the lycan’s body. What a surprise for Tommy to find out he was in a lycan’s body, did I mention in order for Tommy’s soul to live it had to devour other souls but that’s another story. So poor Tommy only finds out the hard way two nights later that he was a lycan, and that controlling your lycan self is nothing that even comes close to the hunger of the vampire, cause the lycan is thousand times worse. Killing without a motive, or thought, just working on animal driving instinct. So poor Tommy decides to try and jump bodies with some other shmuck, only to find he can’t get out of that one willingly like he could the others. He spent several months in the lycan form while his own body slowly rejuvenated itself. Course the time came for Tommy to return to his form and that was fun.” He stopped and Tommy sighed softly. “He’s done, finally.” Death shook his head. “We had to kill Lycan Tommy to release his soul and let it return to his form.” A smile crossed his face and glowed in his blue eyes as brushed strands of jet and silver locks from his face. The vampire stared at the angel and growled out. “Remind me to hurt you later.”

Misty nodded as he noted that she had never mentioned Spyder. Her eyes lowered a bit as the color began to change, quickly returning back to a bright blue color. "That's right. I think it was Monster, but I am not sure. I remember because it was when we were getting to know each other. You two met, though you may not remember. I don't think he paid much attention to you. He was a bit mental." She nodded as she thought about it a little more.

Her free hand tapped on the table as she glanced at Sola as Tommy asked his first question. "Monster and Spyder kind of used me. They were twins, both trapped in Spyder's body because Monster went off and got himself killed. I might of had a few things coming to me, but no one deserves what I got." She shrugged as she went on. "Anyways, He or they held a gun to my head and made me move Monster's soul to another body then Monster tried to kill Spyder and such, and that was about the time I met you and Tom, so that is two twins. You know the story from there, I stopped talking to them, avoided them all together and things got better. Then Marius. A while back, when you and I were still together Marius and I did a little spell to make him be able to go out into the light, giving me my wonderful ears." She said pointing to the hat which hid a pair of cat like ears, "And while doing this somehow something inside him went wrong. I really do bad when it comes to magic." She laughed as she glanced at Sola once again. "Anyways, he went a little mad as of lately. Killed a church full of people then a hotel full. He did something with his soul and twisted theirs out, taking it into himself." She sighed a bit as she shrugged. "Maybe Marius just has a split personality. I hope that's all." She ran her hands over her face as Tommy asked her if she really cared about Marius. "I do. I really think I do, but I don't know if I am good for him. I caused this. I made the mistake of allowing him to go into the light without thinking about the consequences. It was a little rash of me."

Sola's eyes wondered to her sister, her mouth wide as she spoke. She knew none of this. NONE. She shook off her shocked expression before anyone noticed.

Misty smiled as she listened to the two go on about why Tommy couldn't keep a relationship. She laughed at the acronym Death had come up with, smiling brightly as she leaned back in her chair.

She listened to Death tell about how Tommy had died and had to devour souls. After he finished speaking she quickly looked at Tommy. "Devouring souls? Tell me about it? I don't quite understand the concept." She smiled at him as she asked, realizing how little of emotion she was putting into this conversation. So many years, so many months all so easily explained. What a wonder.

Tommy sighed. Glad that Death’s little, while actually long speech was over and done with. He nodded slowly in thought as he listened to Misty talk about how he might have met either Spyder or Monster and why he may not remember them. “Seems like a logical reason.” He spoke calmly and chuckled at the idea that Monster was a bit mental. “Most of the vamps I meet these days tend to lean towards the mental side. Very few are stable anymore.”

He continued to smile as she went on to explain what had happened to Marius. “I like the ears.” He stated with a grin. “They are cute and different. Make you stand out from the rest of the people on the street. You have got to love the ramification of major magic spells.” He paused in thought for moment before adding, “Though… dark magic seems to have some of the worst ramifications.” He listened on as she explained her what Marius had done and her hopeful theory on why he did it.

Tommy shifted in his seat a little un-eased as she described the event that had taken place in the church. “Messing with souls is almost like messing with a ticking time bomb. I can say from my joyful little adventure that Death described, that I learned the hard way.” He leaned in a forward and propped his elbows on the tabletop and laced his fingered together under his chin as he continued to talk. “Souls, though most people don’t really think of them as much, are extremely powerful. They are almost pure un-harnessable energies. A child’s soul, or the soul of a complete innocence to be exact is the most powerful of them all. Those souls even fetch a pretty penny on the black market trade of the hell dimensions. I’m sure Death here could even back me up on that one.” He glanced to Death shortly and then back between Misty and Sola. “Souls like that are generally used in the most powerful spells you can think of, some demons eat them, while others have formed a device that when the soul is processed through it come out with a sort of fountain of youth serum. Mind you the by product of that serum can be sold to demons on the street as a drug that induces euphoria and removes all idea of fear.”

He smiled gently suddenly changing the harsh and serious look that had come over his face to one that was content. He chuckled gently as he closed his eyes and recalled a moment from his past. “But I will say this. If you ever do get to see a soul out side its body, they can bring a tear to your eye. They are aww-inspiring beauties, made of every colour of the rainbow and some that man himself cannot even give name to or comprehend. And the colours, they aren’t constant, but constantly changing and swirling. Truly wonderful to see.” He smiled fully now, not caring if the locals noted that he had over developed canines.

Death chuckled gently as he watched Tommy reminisce about the souls. “Trust me.” He stated as Tommy opened his eyes and cast him a glance. “If you get to the souls every day, you kinda think of them as boring. Though I do love watching the colours change. I’ve even been able to pick some of the emotions related to the colours.”

Tommy frowned for a moment and sigh. “Well aren’t you special?” Death of course wasted no time in answering the question that wasn’t really meant to be answered at all. “Hells yes I am.” He boasted as Tommy groaned and hung his head.

The vampire quickly lifted his head and focused again on Misty as she asked him to describe his actions of devouring souls. “I don’t really understand it myself, But according to Mr. Special here and the old coot I call Marius, it’s kinda having to do with my patterns in my undead life.” Death nodded and smiled as he interjected. “The living dead has to feed off the living. SO trying to keep a living dead’s soul around kinda had to work on the same principle. Except that it’s hard for a soul to drink blood of the living.” Death’s smile diminished only for a moment as he added. “Mind you we did not know this till we realized that Tommy on the spirit plane that he was trapped on grew very weak. Took a few books before we could figure it out that he was actually starving.”

Tommy sighed and shook his head. “What he means to say is that our souls, vampire souls, aren’t meant to stay on this world as a wandering spirit. I mean we’ve served time, and longer so when we get killed as we generally don’t die, our souls pass on. For our souls to linger, we still have to live off the others like we do now.” He paused and took a breath and question. “Any of this making sense to you? If not I completely understand because even for me who had to live through it, it still does not make total sense.” A smile was given to her as Death shook his head. “Really not that hard.” Tommy frowned and snapped harshly. “Maybe not for angels of Death!”

Misty smiled a bit as she nodded. "What about you? What are you leaning towards these days?" She asked as she rested her head on her hand, crossing her ankles under the table. She let her hand rest on the hat over the ears as she felt them. And nodded as she listened to him talk about magic. "I do believe I like them too." She said what a sideways smile, her eyes glancing up at her bangs as they rested partly over her eyes and towards the hat that hid her ears.

Sola watched as they talked. Her eyes glazing over as the conversation deepened. She was not sure what to do or think. This sister of hers was turning out to be a stranger. As Tommy talked about souls her eyebrow twitched behind her hair and her concentration was greater than Sola had ever seen. Her sister was changing. Her skin, normally white and chalky from the lack of eating, had changed and their was color in the cheeks. She was strongly against feeding. She shook her head as she rested her hands into her pockets listening to Tommy as well.

“Well I didn’t get to see any of them, but he devoured them. I know this.” She touched her chest and held onto her shirt. “He tried to take mine, but something stopped him, but I could feel it being ripped out of my body. I don’t really now how to explain it, but it hurt. Not like a pain you feel when you get cut, or when you changed me. It was like I was about to implode. Like,” Misty stopped as she thought about it. “It was like death.” She couldn’t find any other words for it.

She smiled as she watched them bicker a bit more, the worries she had been feeling were slipping away and the reason she came here in the first place didn’t seem like such a big thing anymore. She was more interested in the moment. In the smiles and laughs.

As the conversation got serious again she nodded. “Yes it makes since. A lot, really. I just don’t understand why he went crazy in the first place, but I guess that is something I can deal with another time.” She took in a deep breath as she tapped her fingers on the table. “Thank you both so much though. I really didn’t understand any of it at all.” She grinned happily as she leaned back a bit in her chair.

ooc| Wow. This took me a while to reply to. I was brain dead for such a long time. It's kind of a crappy reply, but I got the job done. ^.^

Tommy smiled as Misty questioned him and leaned back gently in his chair as he answer with suave mirth in his voice and a grin on his lips. “Well… mostly been trying to decide what to do with myself since I was returned to the land of the living. Kinda been drifting from place to place with no real goal or destination set in mind.” He sighed gently as he shifted in his chair. I mean, the mansion is rumble now, and the hotel… well I suppose I could stay there. But it’s awkward in a way. I may own the building but Marius spends most of his time there, making it pretty much his home, and I’d just feel like an intruder into his private life.” He sudden laughed as he spoke. “I guess I’ve been running from my problems as of late. The only constant thing in my life is the club I own and run.”

Speaking of the club he sat up and forward in his chair as he glanced from Misty to Sola. “ You guys should check it out sometime. Well you Sola might have trouble getting in with your age and the serving alcohol thing, but I’m sure there’s away to get around it without there being any repercussions. The place is nice, it’s got the dance floor, the bar, the sitting areas, and occasionally I get live bands in to play.”

Death laughed as interjected a comment while Tommy took a breath of air from an old human habit of breathing. “Tommy’s pride and joy the club is. Almost beats his other favorite procession, being a 67 convertible GTX. But the place is nice I agree, even has this whole anti-demon violence charm that works occasionally. There have been a few fights, but the name of the club says it all. Sanctuary. Most just come to get away from their troubles for a while, hence the name.”

Tommy nodded in an agreement with what Death to say. There for the first time this night was no snide remark or harsh words expressed between the two. It was a rare occasion that this happened but every once in a while the opposites do think alike. He listened as Misty spoke again. Talking about the souls being devoured and how he tried to take her own soul in the processes. “No, can’t imagine how anything like that can be describe fully and the exact extent of what you felt.” His head dipped gently as she spoke about it being like death itself. “ A feeling that most of our kind became vampires to escape in the first place. Ironic how most become in mortal to escape death and yet simply delay it in the end. Only a true immortal can escape that, and there are not may of them around in this world.” He shifted again his seat as he added. “I myself have only come across one in my long unnatural life.”

A tense sigh escaped his thin pale lips as the last word drifted off into the night air. Death was not a topic that sat well with Tommy and that was pretty clear in his voice and actions. It was funny how a man who dealt with death everyday in his undead life could not in reality deal well with it at all. No he was not one to fear his own demise, he in fact would claim if asked that he would welcome the sweet darkness with open arms. But still despite that fact death uneased him.

He looked back up to Misty as she spoke and her happy grin warmed him inside and removed his dark mind from the deep thoughts that threatened to cloud his mind. He himself in turn chuckled and shook his head gently before running his fingers through his ebony short kept locks. “My pleasure in not clarifying things for you. In fact I’m still not completely out of the dark on the whole thing either.” Death smirked as he muttered softly. “He was ever out of the dark?” Tommy didn’t even glance at him, but merely let that remark slide for the time at hand.

Misty set her elbows on the table as she leaned her head on her hands. "The club huh?" She grinned. "I have not been there in a really long time. Has many things changed? I guess I should go check it out then." She glanced at Sola, "And maybe you can come with me when I go. I bet it will be a lot easier for you to get in." She pushed her hair out of in front of her eyes as she leaned back a bit turning back to Tommy. "So where are you staying if the mansion is in rumble then where is it you are sleeping? Your Club?"

"Well, I guess I am glad that you have something you can put your mind on. Something to get away from everything else, but you know better than to push your problems away Tommy. I know you do." She gave a weak smile as she shrugged a bit. "You wouldn't want to have to face death again at such a young age, would you?" She reached out and gave him a playful, light shove. She was trying to lighten the subject and give good advice at the same time.

As Death spoke Misty's smile lightly slipped, but she caught it before it fell into a frown. "Death, for a while there, I think he was." Misty grinned up at him. "For a while there I know he was."

Sola listened intensely as she crossed her legs under the table, but she could still not get the thought of what her sister was becoming out of her head. And what was it she had wanted to say? She sighed as she folded her arms and glanced at her watch. This really wasn't her world much anymore either. Things were so much harder here. Emotionally. Physically. She could see the bruises on her sisters temple and arms. She pulled away from her thoughts as she asked. "What happened to the Mansion?"

Tommy shook his head softly as a smile danced its magical dance across his thin pale lips that parted ever so slightly to reveal pearl white teeth. “No sadly and yet joyful I have not made any new changes to the club. Still the same old place with the bar, dance floor; sitting area and karaoke night on the odd times when I can’t get a band or DJ to perform.” He paused as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully and then spoke again. “Well, I’m not entirely right there. I guess things have changed. A waitress and bar tender… or two.” The smile broadened as Misty spoke about Sola coming along sometime. “Sure. I don’t see why you can’t. And if any of the bouncers try to give you a hard time about being there with age and what not, just mention to them that you are a private guest of mine. They don’t believe you get them to get a hold of me and I’ll take care of the rest.”

Again a shake of the head was given as he chuckled gently. “Hell no. Yes the club does have a nice apartment attached on to it, but I believe in the old saying that you should never take your work home. And well living at a place I own and manage is like having work inside the home. Fortunately for me I lucked out. Just before the mansion was levelled, I bought one of the Hyperion hotels in this city. It’s only as few blocks away from Central Park, which suited my habits perfectly. I’ve been spending most of my time there sleeping and when I am awake, restoring parts of it to its once grand glory.”

Tommy laughed lightly at Misty’s statement about him knowing that he shouldn’t push his problems away. “And right I do. Because usually they push back twice if not more, harder than when I had pushed them.” His smile slipped gently as the topic was turned around to meeting Death and his age. “Only in looks am I still a young rouge of the Irish rake that I used to be. But truth be told, my looks as with most vampires lie about the age I really am.” His smile slid to a sly fox grin as he winked. “But my age is for me to know and others to guess. Gives me a level up on foes that way.”

Death made a show of yawning and stretching out slowly to relieve tense and cramped muscles. Chuckling as he brushed a stray lock of silver hair from his clear crystal blue eyes he responded. “We all did.” Death’s eyes drifted to Sola as she spoke out from her quiet state. “Levelled, or blown up… however you want to look at it. But either way utterly destroyed and devastated by a huge demon. A demon forged by the elements of lightening and thunder and rain.”

Tommy shook his head sorely and hid his face in the palm of his right hand in shame of the babbling angel. “What our estranged friend is trying to say is, that a demon with the help of a young boy with some amazing powers that I was training, summoned some beast with elemental properties to try and kill me. Which I might add it did, even if only for a while and in the process it set my mansion a blaze as well a tore it down with its powers and brute force. Let the place in ashes and piles of rock.”

Death continued to watch SOla as Tommy as he rambled on about the mansion. During the speel he waves his left hand to her and asked gently. “Penny for your thoughts? And trust me when I say I have pennies to spare.” He smiled broadly at her.

Misty smiled at Tommy as he explained about the club nodding as she leaned back in her chair and folded her arms. It was interesting it her, for her at least, about all the new things in his life. She cared about him deeply, because of course this man in front of her was her first true love and the one who made her who she was. “I agree with the bit about not bringing work home. It is a rather bad idea.” She grinned as she stretched a little bit as he told her about now owning a hotel. Her eyes lit up as she spoke. “Oh really? I bet that is a lot of fun.”

“And I think out of habit we as…” Misty paused a moment. “We as what we are?” She looked around the table and smiled as she hurried on realizing that they were all different in their own way. “I think that we all push things aside. It is a part of our nature. I pushed things aside for way to long. It is hard to deal with things once it all piles up, so yeah I guess it always comes back twice as hard.” She laughed oddly as she looked at Sola and Death thinking about her night and the last few days.

Sola glanced in the direction of Death as he spoke, his sister not really paying any attention. ‘In her own little world as always’ thought Sola as she smiled a small smile in Death’s direction. Her voice was low as she replied. It felt strange how this night had ended up. “Misty is changing…” She muttered to her sister would not hear. Her thoughts ran wild as the words left her mouth. “Into someone else.” She finished as she took up the coffee her sister had bought a couple of hours ago and it was now cold. She wiped at her mouth as she glanced at Death before looking back in the direction of Tommy and Misty trying to see where the conversation left off. She was not sure if she could handle her sister being upset with her at the moment.

“Anyways, I am sorry to hear about the mansion. I really loved it. It was beautiful, but if I know you at all Tommy, your new hotel looks just as good.” Mist y looked towards Sola before she finished her sentence knowing that Sola had spoken while she was talking, but all she did was smile for she had not heard a word of it.

Death propped his chin up on his right hand and set the elbow against the table top as Sola responded to his question in the soft low voice. The first words or sound more or less that was produced from his lips was hearty “Hmmmm.” A break was given for though as he lifted his chin and raced the digits of that right hand through the silver and black mane of locks. Licking his lips he started to speak what was on his mind. “Well….” A pause was given before starting up again. “Everyone changes, there’s nothing wrong with that. But,” He extended his index finger to accentuate the word but with a mild pointing action. “Into who is the questionable and important part.”

Gently he shifted his blue eye gaze to Tommy who was for now sitting calmly back in the chair listening to Misty talk, smiling, giving a quick nod or vocal agreeing with her. A small gesture was made to cast Sola’s attention to the dark clad vampire. “Take him for example. He’s changed many a time. Been your average vampire terrorizing villages, then got studious and into learning about magics, turned hero for a while, and perhaps now has hit one of his most darkest periods of his life. “ He looked back to Sola a soft frown etched on his tanned face. “Trust me when I say that he isn’t the same vampire that your sister first met and fended off your vampire brother. He is actually a far cry from that shadow of the past. Many things have happened in those years to change that do good-er into a not so do good-er. But I can tell by the ring in your voice, that you are scared for your sister and who she is becoming, right?” A bright smile was given to the girl as and of his head followed. “That’s to be expected, she is your sister after all and you care for her. But I’ll give you advice that I’ve taken years to learn to do. If you a really this concerned about your sister…” He tailed off moving his gaze to the figure of Tommy before thumbing a gesture at him and continuing. “You get Mr. Mood and Brood on the sidelines and confront him with this. He might be a little more help then little ol, me. You might get the answers you are looking for.”

In the mean time Tommy chuckled lightly. “Oh, it can either be a blast or headache. Right now I’m going with headache. The building needs to be brought up to code on so many different levels at the moment, that I’m not even bothering to use it as a hotel. Mostly friends and the odd family member that drops in uses it, but besides that, no renters to deal with. But with our life style, it is probably for the best any way that I don’t have humans in there.”

Tommy’s dark eye followed Misty’s gaze as she spoke. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he nodded in agreement. “And at this table it’s a big different what we are, though we all appear the same.” He was hinting at the fact that in their little foursome, there was one human, one angel and two vampires, not a gathering that was often seen these days, but to the casual on looker they all just would appear human, the vampires with a slightly paler skin tone, but youth these days didn’t exactly tan a lot either.

He laughed at her comment about pushing things aside and then having them come back twice as hard. “And though we all know this, we all do it, knowing what will happen in the end. You would think that we would have learned our lessons by now, that or we just like pain and trouble.” He waved away the sorries about the mansion. “I’m over it. Besides, like I said, I get to build a new one. Money is not a problem when you get to my age and learned that an investment portfolio was the best idea in the world to invest in.” A slow nod of his head was given. “Yes it was a beautiful home, but the new one when it is completed should be just as good, but I expect it to be much better than the original that stood in its place.”

Sola let out a small sigh as she rubbed her face gently , glancing at Misty once more as she gave her a daring grin as catching her sisters eyes. It was interesting how all the things she knew could change in a moment. Her sister was the most important thing to her in the world. Misty saved Sola's life and she lost part of herself in the process. She wasn't sure if any of this was her fault or if Misty had just lost herself in this new day and age. They should be dead and gone by now, but they were still both young and overpowered with everything. Misty should not have had to deal with so many of the things she did. Her sister had been through more than Sola even knew, though it was nothing compared to others, it was to much for her older sister.

As Death spoke she watched her sisters actions, listening to the conversation between her and Tommy. Her tone had changed, she seemed so much more bolder. Her smile had changed, it was less real. Her movements seemed fake and forced, and the look in her eyes were nothing like before. The look Misty gave was still friendly, but there was something about it not Misty-like. It was like she wasn't there anymore. It was like she had lost herself to something else. “No.” Sola said answering Death's question as shook her head, looking in his direction as she responded. “I am scared for her, scared of her. I do not know if she is alright or if she is falling apart.” Her voice was low as she went on, making sure her sister was totally oblivious to her words. She swallowed as she went on. "I guess I could talk to Tommy about it, but I wouldn't really know how to approach him with it and I wouldn't know how to get him alone."

"Wow Tommy, that is too remarkable. I still can't believe everything that has happened over the last few years." Misty said as she listened to him speak about the hotel, wondering how he could manage it all. “And yes, the diversity in this group is comforting.” She grinned as she leaned back a bit pushing her hair behind her ear glancing around the table as well as she stretched listening to him talk about that mansion. She just kept on smiling remembering every room and every smell. The past was a pleasant during those times. “Why don’t we all get together like this more often?” She asked as she looked back towards Tommy.

Death leaned in as Sola spoke lowly and softly to keep their conversation from her sister’s attention. A concerned and sincere frown laced his lips as she spoke about how she feared for and of her sister. A nod was given to show that he was listening. In thought he propped his head up with right hand and scratched it tenderly before ruffling the silver and jet hued locks and then sitting up right in his chair with a quiet huff. “Well….” He started and then stopped as he licked his lips still working out a thought process in his head.

After a deep breath he continued on again. “Well… approaching him wouldn’t be too hard. I mean you could start with casual talk and randomly slip the problem into the conversation. He’s a swift one that he should pick up on the problem and you get his full attention quite quickly. Or you could always just out right bring it up to him.” He paused and scratched his head again. “Getting him alone… yeah now that one could be a tough one. Might take some good planning on our part, but I’m sure we could find away to get at him.” He smiled to her with a confident air.

Tommy nodded to Misty’s question and smiled softly. “You know…” He started with a pause before continuing on. “That sounds like a great idea. I don’t see why we couldn’t get together more often. Well I guess time permitting that is.” Fingers were raced through his short black locks as he finished his little talk. A gentle sigh passed lazily over his thin lips as he brushed the left sleeve on his leather duster back to expose the silver rollex’s clock face. A brief frown slipped over his youthful visage that belied his true age. “Speaking of time…” He took a breath as he pushed his chair back and stood up. “I have an engagement that I am going to be late for if I keep talking with you guys. Hope you don’t mind my sudden leaving. But I really can’t miss this. You all have great evening now and I’ll catch up later.”

Turning to leave he paused while reaching into his right pocket. “Oh here you go Misty.” He pulled out a small white business card and handed it to her. “It has the address to the night club on it so can stop in if you like. It really was a nice time.” He smiled as he pivoted on his heavy soled boot heels and began to walk away.

Death blinked as Tommy rose and sauntered off. “Ummm yeah…. Well… Bye.” He managed to stammer out before glance back to Sola and giving her a quick nudge with his elbow. From the corner of his lips he muttered just loud enough for Sola to pick out. “I think this is the chance you might be waiting for. I’ll keep you sister busy for ye.” He gave her a quick wink and turned his attention to Misty. “So Misty… You still dabble in the magic arts?”

OOC| Finally got a post for ya biggrin.gif
