It is. Hopefully it will be the first of many written by him. :)

Thanks Mel for the link :)
I read the review and the comments, and this one captured my attention
| QUOTE | This show is turning into one of the best surprises of the season. Even though every one critizized it, it's been improving immensely. Goes to say, DONT TRUST THE CRITICS |

As I've already said at vartanopia ;)...
I think this episode had some very good things  and some less good things <_< . Let's start with... the soup and keep the dessert as a sweet conclusion :P I think Karl's storyline was less brilliant than in the former episodes, and Duncan's was... nothing new, awakening a feeling of "dejà-vu" in me.
Yes, the black book. Many people mentioned that this was dragged for too long. I agree. Especially because it "dragged" poor Brody into this apparently endless "blackmail-by-sms" whirl - a waste, considering Brody's potential. If only they had at least exploited Brody's involvement, instead of making him Duncan's "ear" and "right-arm" - bringing Brody's wife into the show earlier, for instance, and having a kind of (failed) "confrontation" between the two about the revealing booklet.
Also, the Duncan-Terrence-Lisbeth triangle. It was coffee and chocolate in the beginning, but got watered down by this episode. (Luckily there's something new in Cam's life!) The good thing was, the way it ended left me wondering "What next?" :ponder: I think Lisbeth needs to see someone else in Duncan's life, not one of his one-night-stand models, but somebody he has a "true" relationship with: only this could finally make her change her opinion of her ex-husband and re-kindle her interest in him.
So, the ground is now free and open, for both Duncan and Brody. I hope we'll see something interesting for both :D
As for James, although I missed the sexy dialogues with Katie as well as a "James-&-a-she" scenario, I really liked the focus on his exhausting efforts and worries as a single father. The private detective thing was a nice touch of humour (and big YAY for "Auntie Katie" role, both in satisfying his need-to-know and in keeping him on track!), but his having to be with his kids in the office, because hey, he can't be at home with them anymore AND he works uberlong hours, was sadly realistic. He helps them with their homework while directing a giant company :frantic: and - just like all kids do! - they make their drawings on the wrong piece of paper :o
And, of course, Silver Comet! :whoohoo: (without the final "h" that I've been using for the last two weeks  )
SouthernGal posted this quote from The Recapist:
| QUOTE | At James’ son, Dash’s, birthday party James and Nick show up dressed as Dash’s favorite superheroes. Silver Comet and Captain Clobber get into a fight, and let’s just say their outfits left little to the imagination, so it was a good time had by all. Especially me. Stacey must have enjoyed it too because she begs for James to come home. They’re going to have to kill this woman off, aren’t they? When she does die, can they bury her sweater wraps with her? I don’t ask for much, really.

Yes, the outfit undoubtedly gave the female public a good chance to check out Michael's... muscles - ah, you naughty minds! what were you thinking? - but the thing I liked the most, considering how difficult it must have been to show it with that (slightly misplaced) mask on his face, was the look James gave to his son, a total daddy's look, a mix of satisfaction & pride which made the scene so human, just seconds before the cold shower of seeing the rival hero... and father
Also, the things he said to "the woman to be killed off" :P at the fountain will, I think, have an impact on his future relationships - on anything that will/might grow between him and Katie, too. Yes, he's dating, but he's not bringing anybody around the kids. He hasn't till now, and right then he probably understands, through Stacey's mistake, that he won't in the future, at least for some time.
So, the road is blocked for now to Sarah, or another Sarah, and paved for another Rebecca.
And in comes Alex Mason ;)
