Batch 86 Houserules
The Batch 86 Team would like to say that the real owners of this discussion board are the members. We are all owners here, this is our discussion board, our online community and like a house, us, --the owners, want to make it clean, wholesome and peaceful. We want to make our friends feel welcomed and comfortable. We are bound by posting guidelines to make this happen. So let us start by stating some of the things that we need to remind ourselves.

1. As expected, only alumni of both Batch 82 (UES) and Batch 86 (UHSM) are allowed to join the community. We would appreciate it if when choosing a username, you will use the name/nickname that your fellow batchmates will remember you by. In time, we will allow you to change usernames.

2. Posting guidelines:

*Off-topic posts. We have set discussions and you can gauge this from the title of the topics made in the forums and we will expect that the conversations will dwell into these topics only. The board has a lot of forums that will cater for your posting needs. Feel free to join in the discussions and also opening posts you feel will be a good way for all members to take part of.

*Do not shout and no shouting/yelling means that, YOU DO NOT USE ALL CAPS in your posts.

*Do not spam the board. If you have to post a personal message to a poster, use the PM feature. If you can help it, please refrain from posting one word posts. This will also save us bandwidth.

*When quoting someone else's post, then please edit your quote box to show that pspecific oster's quote. This will make it easier for posters to understand what and who you are trying to reply to.

*Differences. Even though we are bounded by our ties when we were in our elementary years and in high school, we have all grown up and we also have different personalities and personalities sometimes clash. If you are offended by a poster's post, please do not use the community to start an online fight. You may use the PM feature or by emailing the poster and try to sort things out before it gets out of hand.

3. Moderating team. They are here to help you and to clean up the board. They are not here to lord it over or to ask for special treatment or be your boss. Being a moderator or admin is also not a status symbol- it just simply means that they are requested to help with the board. They are here to make the board better for you. So please cooperate with them. If you have any suggestions to make this board more functional and/or introduce cool new forums, do not hesitate to PM the Moderators and Admin.

There will be times that if a topic deems questionable, too controversial, as a moderating team, we will have to deliberate on it. It will not be deleted, but moved for the deliberation process. Whatever decision was made about the fate of the topic has been decided by the majority of the team. If you wish assistance on this, contact either Simone or Benjie.

4. Have fun and build new friendships and keep the old ones. And this is what this online community is all about.
