Rules

1. If you nominate players you receive 0.5 LC. If you vote for the awards you receive another LC. I will enter these in myself (no need to link these).

2. You can vote on both AL and NL or just your league, whichever you want.

3. Vote for first, second, and third (if applicable) for each category (1st place votes = 3 pts, 2nd place = 2 pts, and 3rd place = 1 pt).

4. Voting will end 7 days after this is posted!

American League

Comeback Player of the Year
SP Brett Myers (KCR) - Stats Below.
2013 3 wins 19 losses 5.01 ERA 0 CG, 185 innings pitched
2014 14 wins 12 losses 3.40 ERA, 5 CG, 211 innings pitched

SP Jeremiah Parvez (CHW) - Stats Below.
2012 Stats: 20-6, 2.52 ERA, .205 BAA 8 CG
2013 Stats: 15-11, 4.57 ERA, .279 BAA, 5 CG
2014 Stats: 18-9, 3.63 ERA, .248 BAA, 8 CG

Most Improved Player of the Year
SP Kyle Eanarino (OAK) - 2014 Stats: Wins: 13 Loss: 13 ERA: 2.86 (#5 in AL) Quality Starts: 24 (Tied #4 in AL) OBA: .200 (Tied #1 in AL) K: 142 Hits per 9: 6.50 (#1 in AL) Opp Slugging: .290 (#1 in AL) OPP OPS: .607 (#3 in AL) HR: 13

In his first 3 years in Oakland, Eanarino won just 10 games, posting ERAs of 7.76, 3.48, and 3.79 and opponents batted .268, .216, and .237 against him those 3 seasons. This year though, Eanarino put up numbers that would make him a front runner for the Cy Young had his team been able to score a few more runs for him this year.

1B Jon Benjamin (TEX) - Benjamin had an improvement similar to that of that of last years winner, Josh Radabaugh. He had 6 more doubles, 16 more home runs, 22 more RBIs, 14 more walks, and had 27 less strikeouts. He also went from a .245/.356/.446 line to a .307/.424/.607 line. AND he quadrupled his career stolen base total...from 1 to 4. Watch out Rickey Henderson, Benjamin is coming for you!

SP Jeremy Dole (TBD) - Lowed his ERA by almost 2 full runs.

RP Massimo Sakai (CHW) - Sakai has been inconsistent to say the least throughout his career. In 2014, he set career lows in losses, ERA, hits, and BAA. He also had the most strikeouts of his career.

GM of the Year
deputydan (KCR) - First KC winning season in league's history.
gopher100 (TEX) - The dynasty in the AL West continues...

National League

Comeback Player of the Year
RP Randy Dempsey (ARI) - 2014 Stats: 79 Games 5-8 Record 2.77 ERA 6 home runs given up .218 OBA 38 Saves 3 Blown Saves

After two disappointing years in 2012 and 2013 Randy Dempsey returned to top closer form. When he came over from Oakland to Arizona in 2012 he showed some promise again as setup man for the Diamondbacks. However he followed up his terrible 2012 season with an equally as bad 2013 season. After his great 2014 Dempsey can once again be considered one of the best closers in the league, if that's not rebounding I don't know what is.

SP Paul Mardini (COL) - COL shipped him off to DET in 2009 where he finished the first "season" there with a 2.93 ERA. He had another good year and a half after that in DET before being shipped to MIL after that and had an adequate finish to the season there. 2012 bought him back to Colorado, but after another sup par performance he was shipped back to DET the next year. After one and a half bad years in DET, The Rockies took one more chance on him to help out as a spot starter. The chance paid off and since just prior to the All-Star break Mardini posted a 6-2 record in Denver with a 3.01 ERA, almost three points lower than what he was pitching in DET. He also lowed his OBA and picked up the first two saves of his career.

Most Improved Player of the Year
OF Jose Enriquez (SDP) - His numbers speak for themselves, but lets go over them anyways. In only 24 more at-bats; 28 more R, 18 more HR, 43 more RBI, 54 point AVG increase, 44 point OBP increase, and 142 point SLG increase. He also struck out 25 less times.

3B David Tosti (SDP) - His AVG and OBP dropped, but his production and slugging numbers sky-rocketed. He hit 22 more HR and drove in 55 more runs. He also scored 21 more runs. Even without his 54 games in Florida, his production numbers (R, HR, and RBI) are still better in 397 at-bats in San Diego than in 2013 -- 12 more HR and 16 more runs created.

RP Casey Kruger (STL) - No write-up sent in.

CF Lance Sherman (ARI) - 2013 Stats: .276 average, 33 home runs, 116 RBI, 112 runs.

At first it looks like it would be difficult to improve upon those numbers, but Sherman did. 2014 was the first year this player truly shined, hopefully it's one of many more to come. Sherman turned into a superstar in one season last year as his stats jumped all the way to

2014 Stats: .322 average, 51 home runs, 140 rbis, and 119 runs scored. He also upped his on base percentage by 30 points and cut down on his strikeouts. While it's not likely he'll improve much upon this season numbers, this seasons numbers are a drastic improvement over last years numbers.

SS Avery Todhunter (CHC) - Todhunter was known exclusively for his glove in his first two full seasons. This year he exploded:

2012: .240 AVG, 15 HR, .395 SLG
2013: .256 AVG, 22 HR, .440 SLG
2014: .289 AVG, 30 HR, .505 SLG
That means he raise his average .033, 8 more HR and .065 higher SLG

SP Andy Warren (MIL) - Editor's Note: Stats below. From 2009 to 2011 Warren has an ERA than ranged from 4.28 to 4.61 so he is really improving on those numbers.

2012: 2-11, 6.24ERA, 59Ks, 42BBs, .319OBA
2013: 10-12, 5.19ERA, 82Ks, 50BBs, .280OBA
2014: 10-7, 3.22ERA, 60Ks, 41BBs, .264OBA

GM of the Year
karchy2006 (COL) - Long time, no see for the Playoffs was erased this season. Most wins for COL in the league's history.
jordansmith123 (LAD) - How can you go against a team who dominated all competition, won 134 games and the world series? Texas should get considered as well considering they took them down to the wire!

Are you guys serious for voting Myers? I threw him in there simply as competition. Like BAL stated he hasn't really had a good season since 2007.

He's up for "Comeback Player of the Year", not "Nice Job, You Finally Put Together a Good Season".

Myers had a very good season in '05 as a starter in PHI and pitched pretty well as a reliever in LAD before being thrown into a bad situation in BAL. He showed signs of life back in ARI, but was soon traded back to BAL where he just as soon lost it. In 2014, in his first season as a Royal, he pitched very consistantly and put together seasons like in '05 and his days as a Dodger.
