Name: Zryxan (first syllable rhymes with rye, second is pronounced cksan, TSRAI-cksan)

Title/call sign/nickname/etc.: Psycho-User, Ragnarok Lieutenant

Age: 15

Species/Race: Human

Sex: male

Weight: 148 lbs.

Height: 6’3”

Weapons: none/ (anything lying around)

Armor: None

Personality: Cool and collected, but obviously teen-aged in attitude, he is a bit overconfident at times. He cares nothing for others and every action he makes is secretly to further himself. Incredibly selfish, he will stop at nothing to get what he desires. He tends to be power-hungry, and has a sadistic side underneath his quiet demeanor. Overall he is not one to make friends, and though he knows he is outmatched by those who outrank him in Ragnarok, he bristles silently at being commanded.

Appearance: A young boy with long locks of light brown falling unevenly across his face and around his head. He wears a dark hooded robe with sleeves sized so his hands are always visible. If one were to examine him sharply enough to see his eyes through his hair, they would see a tranquil pool of dark emerald to match his cool demeanor. He is incredibly tall and unhealthily thin in appearance, but is actually quite healthy despite physical characteristics. Slight of frame and smooth of hand, he does not seem like a fighter. Beneath his robes are scars along most every part of his body, and unfading rings around his arms and legs.

Skills/Magic: He uses Psychokinesis (PK), a form of Psi. It is also known as Telekinesis or “Mind over Matter.” Microscopic alterations using PK are known as Micro-PK, while anything large enough to be seen by the naked eye is Macro-PK. He can control electricity and static, move objects (and people), levitate, alter objects, heal minor injuries and most sicknesses, predict the future (usually subconsciously), and alter random number generators. He can also teleport to places he's been before and can remember very clearly, it takes a large amount of concentration and time and sometimes can not be done on command.(I will probably use this only for an introduction post to show how he got somewhere, he detests walking.)

Strengths: Zryxan is very fast and gets around easily. Projectiles do not work well against him, as he can catch them. And his ability to move things means he can freeze an opponent as long as he concentrates hard enough, useful for interrupting incantations by stopping a throat from vibrating or lips from moving, or perhaps seizing an opponent during a complicated maneuver. He really likes to throw people, usually just away but sometimes at a wall or another person.

Weaknesses: No weapons or combat training, no defense except his robe so he is easy to damage, he is teen-aged, he cannot alter anything in his blind spots, and his PK wears on his mind and large or unending work can cause a terrible migraine (complicated work is much more stressful, of course). There is a possibility that a lack of objects to throw could be detrimental to his preferred method of fighting. When he is hit decisively it can send him flying easily, as he doesn’t weigh much.

Biography: The boy’s past isn’t allowed to come up in conversation, he makes sure of it. Not talking much makes it just that much easier, but it also makes it apparent he had a dark and turbulent childhood. You don’t get into Ragnarok without being an expert at reading people. Zryxan knows they whisper behind his back about their ideas of his past, they’re all wrong though. No one could guess that his parents had sold him as a slave when he grew old enough to work. How could they know that he had been whipped until he couldn’t stand, then yanked to his feet and forced to do backbreaking work until he passed out. His master had been cruel; keeping him chained all the time and worked to exhaustion from sun-up to sun-down. Any time he had that wasn’t filled with work was devoted to sleeping, or at the small chance he was fed that day he’d eat. They couldn’t know, no one would ever know. One day he went crazy, he had been getting more rebellious because he was growing older and the other slaves were full of rebellious whisperings. When he was being whipped because his master was in a bad mood and had seen him first, he had screamed in outrage and everything around him that hadn’t been nailed down was hurled at his cruel assailant. The man died instantly when he was crushed by a crate, and Zryxan was freed. For a long time he had been without a name, answering to “hey” and “boy,” or “slave.” But he had never forgotten, his name was Zryxan, and he had no friends. He killed the residents of the village his master had lived in by using his newfound powers, which he found easily accessible now. This was how he came by money, food, and clothing for a while; He’d steal it or kill for it. He eventually became better at acting civilized, and donned his now ever-present robes to hide his disfigured body. This was also his transition to purely stealing unless absolutely necessary. He was then 13, and his one great mistake wouldn’t come until almost two years from then. At a burly 14 and ¾ Zryxan was on top of the world, he came and went as he pleased, and everything was going good until his PK grasped a very well-dressed man’s wallet. Uichidae Mirorin is the world’s greatest Elementalist, and he can feel any form of complex brainwork required to alter the physical world. So naturally, he followed the hold on his wallet to its source, and commended the boy on a good try. Zryxan was both outraged and awed, and stammered out a question about Mirorin. The Elementalist answered with an invitation to join his clan, Ragnarok. Zryxan wanted nothing but power, and readily accepted. Mirorin, aside from letting Zryxan into the clan, taught him to read and write, as well as some public etiquette so the boy would blend in better. When his power and loyalty were tested, Zryxan proved more than worthy and rose through the ranks quickly. At 15, he is now a clan Lieutenant; and though his attitude hasn’t changed much, he is well-respected and does many important jobs for his clan. He revels in his status and power, glad to have a place in the world. And besides, what do they care if secretly all of his heroic achievements are for his own benefit?
