GOVERNMENT AGENTSthese are the people in charge of the beautiful big apple. while not directly involved in the creation of replicants, government workers are the ones who monitor them and make sure the rouges are kept in their place. a lot of agents work over at new path, but police officers are also included in this group, as well as political positions. government agents are very skilled in what they do, usually coming from some sort of special operative background like the FBI or CIA. Dont fuck with these people, bro. theyre all pretty good at beating someones face in. they have to be, if they want to catch and apprehend rouges, after all.

SCIENTISTSthe scientists are split into three groups: immunization, engineering and the technician team. the immunization team at new path first consisted of the best and brightest scientists in the nation, all working towards a cure for the marburg virus. they used replicants for their organs and blood at first, replacing people's sick cells with new, clean ones. engineers are the ones who program replicants for their specific purposes such as domestic uses, combat, and even the skinwalkers. (don't tell anyone about the latter.) they inhibit the emotions, to prevent any extra strain on them. technicians are kind of the surgeons of the science team. they're the ones going inside the dna and changing it. they wire each replicant flawlessly (or almost). it's a difficult procedure, especially when rushed.

REPLICANTSmeet the maids, hard laborers and soldiers of the future. each is designed with a specific purpose, whether it be to build houses, or destroy them. while they look completely human on the outside, wiring runs alongside the veins in their bodies. they are efficient, strong and uninhibited by human emotions. while they started out as donors to help cure the marburg virus, their status in society has greatly changed over the years. they are designed to serve humans, and the consequences for attacking a human are quite severe. there are several different kinds of models, the newer ones being able to mimic human emotion like it is their own. they do the jobs no one wants to do, and they do it in a quick and easy way. they don't have the same rights as humans, such as marriage, owning a house and voting.

ROUGESrouges are the replicant projects gone wrong. while most are scrapped, these are the ones who fled from new path. they live in secret locations, avoiding government agents like the plague. most of these replicants have... unsavory traits. sometime during their creation process, something went wrong. many of them have human emotions, which are detrimental to themselves and to others. they can have free will, and decide for themselves what kind of life they want to live. they are dangerous, especially since they are stronger and faster than any human. while it is easy for rouges to malfunction, they can go for illegal upgrades in some geek's basement, or into new path's lab if they're lucky enough to get in good with a government agent or scientist. for now, they are referred to as the terrorists of today.

CITIZENSthese are your plain janes, your perfect jimmys. they just happen to live in new york while all this shit goes on around them. these are the people who you see everyday, ranging from bus boys to millionaires. they're the public that replicants serve, and while some might be pro-replicant rights, most of them are just normal ol' humans who work with replicants at their job.
