Welcome to the High Monthly Contest!

I don't care who you are, whatever kind of writing you like to do will be found at least once in the monthly prompts. This is designed so that you can pretty much count on your writing style being put into use once.

RULES

- Write something that corresponds to the month's prompt.

- Contest lasts from the 17th of the month to the 16th of the next month to celebrate our monthly anniversary (the seventeenth)
Ex: August 17th to September 16th

- All submissions must be put in Monthly Contest Submissions topic or they will not be counted. The Monthly Contest Submissions topic will be cleared of all entries after the judging.

- All submissions must be in on time or they will not be counted.

- All submissions should be Young Adult or under. Any questions about this, PM or e-mail Gravity or me (Keira)

- Judging will be the week of the next seventeenth while the next contest is up.
Ex: Contest starts August 17th, contest ends on September 16th, judging is from September 17th to September 23rd.

- Winners are announced on the 24th.

PRIZES

Winners are announced the 24th after the contest ends. The prize of being the first place winner is:

- Becoming a High Writer instead of a Member
- Getting Reader's Choice in the next month's contest
- Get advertising of you're site at the bottom of the page under the Kids Writing Club in the Friends catagory

PROMPTS

Every month there's a different prompt for you to follow. The prompt consists of two or three parts:

1. Type: This is going to be short story, poetry, or character. You have to create this as your submission. For a character, you are going to describe the character and everything about them - personality, family, Significant Other (optional) and anything else you can think of.

2. Subject: This is going to be the genre or subject of your writing. If it's a character, this would be the type of story they would be in.

3. This varies. In a short story, there wouldn't be a number 3, just number 1 and 2. However, in poetry, 3 would be Form, meaning, what type of poem (i.e. limmerick, villanelle, haiku, etc.). In a character, 3 would be Scenario, meaning, you have to write a short little scenario that your character is in. The scenario could be if they were being robbed, if they were going to bed - anything Gravity and I think of.

SUBJECT: No specific subject, but you must incorperate the line "There's an angry wolf coming after me, and he hasn't brushed his teeth in three months!"
