I invited my friend Tiff to come along so she stayed the night with me the night before (and the night after I might add lol). And we went nuts that first night! We kept chanting, "We're finally gonna see Billy! We're finally gonna see Billy!" We even chopped up paper and made it confetti. We threw it all everywhere! We counted down to the second.. ( 13 hours, 23 minutes, and 10 seconds til we see him!).. *rofl* Yeah, we were excited. lol So the morning of it I was getting so excited that I was actually getting nervous! Billy is what I call my "idol" and knowing that I was going to be face to face with him just shocked me. I brought along a little picture of him (from his Oklahoma single- my very 1st song I owned of his) in hopes to get his autograph. On the way (about a 30 minute drive) I was singing songs like "ABC" (ABC, as easy as 1-2-3, a simple as do re mi..etc) and I Wanna Get To Ya.. Not only do I sing as an artist, I sing when I'm nervous! LOL I was shakin so bad and just couldn't calm myself down! The show was at a close theme park so we had all day to ride rides until the concert. There was a water ride that I kept going down cause I could see the stage from the top of the hill!! LOL I just kept yellin' "Billy's gonna be there!".. (Kinda embarrassed now I might add.. LOL) But I even saw Billy on little TVs around the park. It was showing the "She's My Girl" video and about how Billy was going to call out someone to ride a ride with at the park after the show! Geez, I wanted to do that so badly! Ha ha ha! So anyway, the concert finally started and Billy sung through all my favs.. I might have some of these events mixed up a little.. But all I remember are pieces from the show. And what surprised me the most was that he ended up singing "ABC" and I couldnt stop laughin! I had NO idea that he even knew that song or that he would ever sing it live. I was singing along and just kept thinkin "Its destiny!" Then.. When he was singing "Elisabeth," I noticed that there were people walking up to the stage.. I didnt think that they were allowed.. But they were getting close to Billy!! LOL I was like, "I dont care! I'm goin too!".. So I got up there (about 5-6ft away from Billy.. something like that..) and I said "I love you Billy!".. He just looked at me, smiled, gave a little wink at me and waved. I about melted. lol I feel awful about it now though. I should have controlled myself.. But hey, I'm never myself when I'm at concerts.. As a matter of fact, within a few seconds after Billy saw me, a security guard came up me and said, "I'm going to have to ask you to go sit down or I'm going to have to ask you to leave." I just looked down at my camera and was thinking "But I have to get at least one picture!".. So I turned away from the guy and quickly took one.. What can I say? I'm a risk taker! .... LOL... yeah right... *giggles* So anyway, he was getting all mad at me and was starting to yell at me and some other girls.. So I gave up and went to my seat.. The rest of Billy's show was awesome! When he was doin "You Dont You Wont" there was a man sitting close to me that kept sayin "Wow!" to me. He asked me after the song, "Do you sing too?" And I just smiled. I dont even remember if I ever replied to him actually.. lol I was too focused on Billy. But anyway, eventually it was Jessica Andrews's turn to perform. I wasn't a fan of hers at the time. And I can just kick myself for the things I said at the show.. Like "she's horrible.. And she's singing with Billy! I wanna sing with Billy!".. LOL Yeah, I'm a butthead, I'll admit it. Anyway, I had to leave the show early cause Tiff got really sick all of a sudden. I found out later that Billy had a meet and greet.. *sniff* So I still havent been able to tell him the things I've always wanted to. But its okay really. I kinda like this "dream" of it all. Oh and by the way, I heard that a younger girl won that drawing and Billy rode one of the most painful rides at the park! LOL It gave me a headache the first time I rode it and I've vowed to never ride it again. It made me miserable.. Sure hope Billy had a better experience. So, there we go!
