First month of SUMMER:
Turn 2504
It's hot and humid and people are getting sick. No...that's not quite right. Dragons are getting sick, mostly. Some strange sickness is running around the Weyr grounding coughing, sneezing dragons. Oddly enough, some humans have been catching it, as well, despite it seemingly being a primarily dragon-aimed disease.

Alevynn Weyr - Welcome

Earthquake?!

Alevynn weyr was shook a few days ago, though most of the people of the weyr were protected from it, some suffered from the ground moving under them, a few cracks but nothing major-and nothing enough to cause injuries(the bugs are bad enough, remember see the healers if you need to!)

It would seem though one of our search riders found something. Candlemarks away from Alevynn along the coastline the water has dropped and a network of caves are exposed-and unexplored.

As it stands until more is known anyone who goes that area will be severely punished, so don't get caught

Cockatoo Kid: M/Candidate, still searching for a name, obviously.

Appearance

pretty much like a beanpole: tall, lanky and bony thanks to a series of growth spurts. 6'0" and still growing. has yet to fill it out. generally wears baggy clothes and stuff that covers him up pretty good, would probably wear scarves in the summer if the heat didn't already murder him in a shirt and short trousers. his hair is black and shaggily cut, contrasting the light tan colour of his skin and the rich brown of his eyes. his sharp features and lack of puppy fat make him seem "old" for his age... has a generally masculine look about him and is apparently going to be quite a handsome fella as he matures. now if we could just do something about that attitude...

Personality

just seems cranky and pubescent most of the time. will judge others fairly soon after meeting them and often forms extreme opinions. is a mouthy bastard. has a lot of empathy for people and is more sensitive than he seems... he's just developed this spiny outer shell to protect his own feelings. has a tendency to hoard stuff, whether it has any actual value or it's just a piece of junk with some good memories attached. can be damnably stubborn once he puts his mind to something. is intensely loyal to friends and family, even to the point of self-detriment on some ocassions. bosses his cohorts around a little -- mostly out of a percieved obligation to keep them safe and out of trouble. at least his intentions are good?
