Dzaka
Sweet dreams are made of this...

He slept fitfully, on the job never the less but that had never bothered him before. He teetered between sanity and insanity, the line having blurred years ago to the point where it was a comfort to him, no longer something he wanted to be afraid of. His dreams were confusing, things he was glad he could never fully remember when he woke up, perhaps because Dzaka protected him from that, Kaid didn't know. But they haunted him, as he slept curled up in his cloak against the bronze-red side of his wher, who turned his head to watch his human twitch and moan in pain in confusion. This was normal, he was used to this, after all he changed his name when his person changed, but that didn't mean he liked it.

Like slime they left imprints on his flesh he couldn't get rid of, he kept peeling, clawing at his flesh, no matter how much he tried he could steel the touch.

Some of them want to use you...

He cried, he remembered being curled up in a corner, crying the first time and that was the time Dzaka came to him, except in his dreams he was perfect, he was everything he was his savior, he came with comforting open arms to protect him from what was going on to sooth the hurts. He could not stop the imprints that were left on his skin, so bright he feared even now at this age when he was awake that people could see them, that they just knew, but he made them hurt less. He reminded him it wasn't his fault-though some times Kaid didn't believe him. Even though it was Dzaka, some times..well. Some times he had to wonder if he wanted to be abused.

The dreams turned more sinister with his thoughts, his memories, twisting in and out like some being of its own, dripping over him, laughter shading every movement as he tried to curl away-to run and when he finally flailed and felt a sharp stab of pain in his lower back his eyes flickered open and he realized where he was, what had happened.

"Dreams.." He breathed turning dark eyes on his wher who snuffled and nodded.

Yes...Kaisk..? Thought best not to wake you, you sleep so little but..do not like dreamsThe wher told him with a shiver shaking his reddish head as he nuzzled his human. Kaid sighed fingers curving over the well oiled wher hide enjoying the smell, the smell that was as comforting as that knowing presence in the back of his mind. Tonight he was Kaid-though he didn't know that. He didn't know better.

"I shouldn't be asleep on watch, especially since we just moved here." He pointed out to his wher who lovingly began to groom his persons spiky red dyed hair, nibbling and nuzzling it. Kaid, used to such mother hen tactics merely chuckled quietly and allowed him to continue even if he was getting slobber on him.

Who would know? No one else here, no one come. Saw bird, was tasty bird. Saw nothing else. Heard nothing else. Heard dragon snoring from far away, loud loud. Silly dragons. We are safe tonight The wher told him with a knowing nod of his head as Kaid shifted and took the rock out from under him that had caused him the pain to wake up.

"I suppose so, please tell me you ate the bird after you killed it." He grimaced a bit giving his wher a narrowed eyed look.

Kaisk stared back at him and if a wher could manage to look innocent-he would have.

"You are one sick wher you know that? You are the only creature I know who likes eating its dinner alive and squirming. Nasty nasty." He chuckled quietly, childishly as he rested against his wher who chortled his delight happily.

Say human who eats plants, and other flowers. Peh, flowers to look at not to eat

"Hmm, you got me there I suppose." he sighed.
