To our fellow roleplayers,

There will be times when an admin or mod would intervene in your RP to correct some errors related to RO facts or ATA plot. Please do not take this negatively, we intervene in order to make the story as correct and as close to the plot as possible.

In this light, we will DM certain RP threads to guide you.

What is DM Intervention?
>> DM is an abbreviated phrase commonly used in paper and pen roleplaying games, and in popular board games, namely Dungeons and Dragons. DM stands for Dungeon Master, and since we are roleplaying, the admins and mods serve as your dungeon masters.

DM or Dungeon Master is a term used for players who control threads. In certain cases, DMs also moderate threads.

The universal DMs are the admins of course. NPC accounts, such as Wantutu, are also considered DMs as they may help guide the flow of a thread.

DM Functions

DMs may post in your thread for the following reasons.

> Thread bearing

This happens when the thread is going way out of line. In most cases this is when God Moding is identified or are reported OR when the thread becomes stagnant.

The first post will be a warning

The second post will require deletion of the offending post.

The third post will be a forfeit of that thread. That is, the thread will be locked and considered VOID. It never happened.

> DM Rules, additional rules

Happens in certain RPs (usually normal RPs that suddenly become epic in proportions). A DM might pop up in your thread to enforce additional rules.

E.G

This is normal. Posts after the DM post will now be required to follow the guidelines posted by the DM. Reasons and such will also be included in the guidelines.


> Sudden Attacks

This may happen in certain threads when an MVP or other monster attacks. This is usually done by a sudden post in your thread by an NPC account (i.e Wantutu).

Remember that in most cases, TS will NOT be notified when this happens.

DM special cases

In certain cases, a Thread starter may be the DM for the thread. This happens if the thread is a mission/quest of the Thread Starter or a vital character plot kitten.

TS will have all DM powers except for Thread bearing. He/she may report to an Admin about the thread bearing for proper DM moderation.

DM Requests

DM requests can also be done here.

Things to note

> Mission/Quest threads will be heavily DM'd. In most cases, DMs will start the thread themselves and post the guidelines there.

> Do not be offended when DMs suddenly post in your thread (unless it's about Thread bearing). Special bonuses are sometimes given to those who follow the DM posts.

Another thing,
Please DIRECT YOUR PMs / YMs ONLY to the admins/mods who directly intervened. Do not send your complaints or reactions to ANYONE ELSE. Communication is important here, and bypassing it is not an option.
