Background:John was born in New Bark Town in Johto. His parents were shot dead in a Team Rocket raid on the town. He was sent to an orphanage in Saffron. He didn't like it there and ran away when he was 12. He made it to Vermillion, when he saw the ferry to the Adventure Islands. He stowed away on the ship and that's how he got to the Adventure Islands.
