EASTERN KINGDOMit’s a rather strange place if you think about it. The Eastern edge is ruled by warlords who make it their life job to ruin the other warlords lives. Why? Well, even they don’t actually know. All they do understand is that they’ve been fighting since they can remember, and that they aren’t going to stop until they win. There are actually three different groups fighting, and each considers themselves more fearsome then the other. It’s a strange way to live, but they would rather kill each other then somehow figure out how to come to terms with what they hate.
The East is one of the prettiest places though. Filled with bamboo trees, cheery blossoms, and chivalrous people, it’s the place to be if you want to see beauty. Hell, there’s even wild animals around here that want you to touch them constantly. Some people claim that if you were going to live anywhere, it would be in the East. It’s really too bad that it also happens to be a place where it is not safe to walk without a weapon. But then again, it really is a sight for the eyes. Take your pick, safety or beauty? WESTERN KINGDOMThis is considerably in the running for the worst place to live in the kingdom. It's a very dark place, one that is even more dangerous then the Eastern kingdom. It's known for the fact that it houses the black market. But here, the black market is much different then ours. It's beyond horrifying, why? Because it sells human lives, and human lives only. Mothers and fathers tell their children stories that if they were naughty, they would be taken away to live in the West. No one wants to live here, and the people that do are constantly battling with fear.
On top of that, it's also the only place that is having a huge amount of problems with agriculture. There is nothing in this corner of the kingdom that actually has the ability to grow. Maybe it's because they are being punished for something that they did years ago. Many believe that the land is cursed, and that no matter what they do nothing will bring the land back to the way that they want. It's a desert, and completely arid. The only people that live here are those that can stand the heat, and the problems that come with it. Unfortunately, it also means that there are few people that actually live here, causing problems for their population numbers. There are so few women, that they are now kidnapping them. But their laws state that a woman is property, and lower than a horse. No wonder there are no women. NORTHERN KINGDOMThe Northern Kingdom is the coldest place in the kingdom. It is constantly covered with ice and snow. There are jagged mountains that stretch far into the sky, and no one knows exactly how they got there. They woke up one day 500 years ago and the ground was covered with snow and mountains had sprouted overnight. It was surprising, and no one really knew what to do with it. They figured that it would leave eventually. The snow had to after all, it would melt eventually. But 500 years have passed, and the snow has not left. No one knows what to do, but they can't move. Where else would they go? It wasn't like any of the other kingdoms were any better, at least they could breathe here and not have to worry about war.
The only people they have to worry about is the Snow Queen and her men. If someone steps out of line in the Northern Kingdom, then they will have to face the wrath of the martial law in the Northern Kingdom. She and her men kill on sight, so you don't usually want to be around them. They don't even care if you've done something wrong, sometimes they'll just kill for the fun of it. It's not exactly what people want around them, but the chances of seeing the Queen or her men are very rare if you live in that part of the kingdom. But if you're visiting, well you want to make sure that you're careful to avoid the guards. SOUTHERN KINGDOMThe southern kingdom is very random. It houses the most eclectic bunch of people, and usually they are not the kind of people that you want your family to grow up around. The majority of people that live there are thieves. They know how to pick a pocket and grab anything from stores without any problem. There are also beggars galore in this kingdom. Unfortunately, it's the poorest kingdom in the area. The beggars fill the streets, and are constantly bothering tourists. And lastly, the next largest number of people are murderers. Why? Well, that's quite easy to explain actually.
The Southern Kingdom is the only kingdom that does not have any laws what so ever. They do not care what people do, and if people are dying in mass numbers, well it's not really anything that's going to bother them. Is there a government? In the loosest sense of the word. Do they care that they aren't doing a very good job? Not at all. If they cared, they'd be doing something about it. They don't even have prisons here because they believe that they are awful for the moral of the people. It's the worst place in the world to be if you aren't a thief, beggar, or murderer. And yet people still visit it because they want to tempt danger.
