The sleepy little seaside town of Hart in northern California is no different. While during the season it plays resort town to many looking to get away from the work-a-day grind to one of its scenic beaches or collection of quaint seaside shoppes it is also is home to a rather prestigious all boys boarding school: Saint Valentines School for Boys. That is nothing too out of the ordinary really, unless you consider the dead witch buried under the school. That’s something you won’t find in the brochure asking parents to send their boys off to school! Of course, not many people remember that whole nasty burning affair over a hundred years ago anymore. In fact there may be quite a few who'd like to see it completely forgotten.

Except for Anna Valentine, the witch in question who seems to still be a bit peeved after all this time. Some people can really hold a grudge, can’t they? Oh, there’s also that bit about some of the boys maturing into manhood while off at school and ending up with ability to set things on fire or read people’s minds…but you know, the road to adulthood is lined with pesky little things like that, right? Luckily there are places like the King of Hearts to let young men blow off some steam after a hard day of schoolwork with other young men… often half dressed and grinding up against each other to the beat of pulsating music though that may not be the regal atmosphere the brochure speaks about...



Hart isn’t all playful romping, school boy enthusiasm, and townie watching though. Magic seems to be a part of the daily lives of the citizens and surprises are around every corner. The boys of St. Val's have to deal with a lot: keeping up their marks at school, figuring out how to get the boy three seats down from them to take an interest in them, and now deal with the fantastical as if it were real. Mid-terms and finals aren’t going to be the only thing keeping these boys awake at night.
