Lunchtime and the leaky cauldron was packed with people. It was a saturday and so everyone was here to do some shopping. Parent's with young children, old witch's and aged wizard's. They were all present. Barty was glad that school had started back, at least it had taken a few bodies away from the busy pub and equally so Diagon Alley. The reason Barty was here was do get some money changed at Gringott's. He lived in London, in one of the few wizarding property's dotted all over the large city. His abode being a flat in Kensington. It was one of six in a block, all owned by those in the wizarding world. Muggles took no heed to the buidling thinking it another block of flat's. It was amazing just how much they ignored what was in front of them. Barty loved his little flat. Okay it wasn't so little but it wasn't exactly massive either. It had two bedroom's one of which was en-suite, a bathroom, large kitchen and a living room. Just the right amount of space for him really. It was his little haven, his port in a storm, home.

Barty had apperated here from his house, directly into the courtyard out back. He could have walked but the journey would have taken a while. London was a big place after all and he didn't think much of their transport system. Buses were always late and smelled of damp and the underground had the lovely aroma of stale pee. No using wizarding methods of transport was so much better. He had been served quickly in gringott's. His gold being turned into muggle cash. Dispite the fact there was a lot of things he hated about muggle's he loved their clothes and would often spend quite a bit of his hard earned cash on the stuff. It was a good job that galleons were worth more than pounds and he exchanged left him with quite a bit of muggle cash.

Instead of going straight home he went into the leaky cauldren hoping for a quick drink. It seemed like that wasn't going to happen. Nearly ever seat was taken. So instead he stood at the bar and waited to be served. He was hoping that it wouldn't take to long, because he had saw a prophet photographer roaming about and that meant there was a reporter somewhere amongst the crowd in the bar. Barty was avoiding a certain reporter from the prophet a one Colin Creevey. He wanted to talk to Barty about Broom Regulations or something and well Barty wasn't to keen on talking.

I CAN'T EVEN TRUST MYSELF
As expected, Colin was moving all over the place. As hard as it was to believe, his job as a journalist had him moving around with his camera being more energetic and persistent than ever before. Colin couldn't help but enjoy lis life, he got paid to do what he loved and people listened pretty well to the things that he wrote. Currently he was working on a piece about broom regulations and his main source for the story was going to be Barty Crouch Jr. but unfortunately he had refused the interview and he was finding it difficult to convince him because well, it was difficult to find him. He could have used some sort of locator charm but he would still have the problem of getting Barty to talk. He wasn't sure how this was going to happen but he was gonna get his story. But for now, he figured he could take a break and gather some secondary sources from everyday people and whatnot.

He ended up going into the Leaky Cauldron with his silver, clunky camera round his neck. He didn't usually use it for the Daily Prophet since the ones who were employed as photographers were better at it than he was but it just made him feel a little better having it there. The best he could manage here would be to possibly get some opinions on current broom regulations but all that would be useless without the facts which he needed Barty for. As he walked in, it didn't take too long before he spotted Barty waiting for a drink. Without hesitation, he walked over to him. "Barty. Hey! Why don't we have a chat about broom regulations, hm?" Colin asked it in a way that made it seem as if he was asking for the first time.

Why was it taking so long for him to be served? The longer he stood here the better chance he would be cornered by the person he had been trying to avoid for the past god knows when. Colin had been sending him owl's constantly, dispite the fact he had kept saying no. The main problem was that in when around people who were quiet clear hard working nice people Barty found himself painfully awkward. It didn't help that he found the other man attractive. Barty wasn't quite a peace with his sexuality not matter how much he acted like he was. When he was around calculated powerful people he turned into some sort of dark being who would do anything to please. Many people thought him weak because of it, he might have been weak for attention but Barty was no fool. He was a smart guy, who had earned top grades in his newt's. Charms had been his highest ranking score. Hence his work in the transport department.

He was just about to give up being served when the bar man came over and served him. Handing over the cash to pay he was about to turn away from the bar when he heard a now familar voice. Silently he cursed to himself. He knew he should have went straight home. "Sorry i don't really have the time." he mumbled in a awkward fashion not really looking at Colin as he turned to speak to him but rather at a spot about a foot to left of the guy's shoulder. It could only happen to him. It was just his luck. Maybe he could brush Colin off somehow. Use some excuse. He wasn't sure really what to do at that moment. He would have to come up with a better way of avoiding the guy. Maybe he could turn the table and follow him, it would be harder to find someone when in fact they were right behind you. Yes maybe he could do that.
