There was no such thing as nine to five in the wizarding world. Not for Theodore Nott. Not when your job involved following certain wizard's and making report's. Tonight he was following a wizard from Romania who the Ministry believed was selling dragon eggs on the blackmarket. There usual investigation into the matter had proved fruitless and so Theo had been called in. He was to follow the guy and report anything that might lead to them catching him. He had been on the case for a few days and so far nothing had happened. It was proving very tedious work. He knew his cover hadn't been blown. Theo was good at his job and skilled with his wand. He was also good at being invisable and blending into the background, without actually being invisable. It was one of the reason's he had seeked out after Hogwart's for this job. They had found him, so to speak. It didn't mean he hadn't been caught out, it happened, especially if someone knew your face.
He was sitting in a shadowy corner of the slippery serpent pub and was nursing a large fire whiskey. Drinking on the job, it was all part of his cover. He had a feeling that tonight would be the night there would be a break through. The guy he was following was sitting at a table which was in ear shot of his. The fact the pub was almost empty meant that if someone else turned up he would be able to hear their conversation. Just as he picked up a glass someone else came into the pub and went over to the bar. Theo's eyes followed the man and watched as he bought a drink and went over and sat at the opposite side of the room. Damm he thought to himself this was going to be a long night. He hoped his gut feeling wasn't wrong he felt like something was going to happen. Maybe it was a feeling about something else and this was going to prove another bust and the guy was innocent. It had happened before. No Theo didn't think so, the guy had shown a few tell's and it was clear he was up to something, but was it selling illegal dragon eggs? He wasn't so sure.
Getting up from his seat he went to the bathroom. He knew he should be keeping a eye on the guy at all time's but his partner was sat outside so if the guy left., he would be on his tale instead. on his return he saw that his target had company. Getting another drink he sat back down in his seat and began to listen. It seemed like he had been right, this was it. The guy was setting up a trade. Theodore mentally took note of the time and date and where the trade would go down and thanked his lucky stars his parent's had made him learn lots of different lanagues. Yes the two men were speaking in a language known as goobledegook. Evidently they thought they wouldn't be caught because not many people spoke it. Well unlucky for them Theodore did. downing his drink, he went to the back to the bathroom and sent a patronus message to the ministry with the information he had gathered and then another to his partner standing outside.
Instead of going home though Theo went back to the bar for another drink. He might as well enjoy himself after a few hard days of boring work. As he turned he saw his mark and his friend were now gone, the deal having been set up. Theo allowed a little grin to himself.

Stumbling in the night, he made his way down the bustling streets of Diagon Alley. At the moment, he had no destination in mind, he was just wandering. Sighing, Harry took a few rights and then a few lefts and continued walking down the path in front of him. He took little notice of the impending darkness and the lack of population. At the moment he was far too busy sulking. Lost in his own thoughts, he argued with himself. There was a mixture of disappointment and anger swarming his mind; it was a rather nasty combination.
This morning, while Harry was half asleep, Ron had mentioned something about going out. Because he was half asleep, his brain didn’t register the exact words that were spoken. When he awoke Ron was nowhere to be seen and Harry spent most of the day waiting for him to return. I rarely get a day off! When I do, he disappears. I married a bastard. Frowning, Harry continued down the darkening streets. At moment he didn’t really care where he ended up. If Ron could run off and have fun by himself, so could he.
Harry finally stopped and took in his surroundings; it was then that he realized he was no longer in the territory of Diagon Alley. The thought itself didn’t bother him that much, after all no one was after his life in this Era. Shrugging, Harry continued on his way. He was very thankful that he had mastered apparition, if things turned sorry he had a means of getting home. Every corner screamed danger, all were shrouded in darkness. But, Harry was one to run head first into danger. Smirking, he observed each store with interest, but none beckoned him.
Stopping, Harry turned to his right, a name catching his eye. The Slippery Serpent, I’ve heard of this place before, might as well visit since I’m here. Getting wasted does sound wonderful. It’s the best way I can avoid my unhappy reality. Without a hint of hesitation, Harry entered walking straight toward the bar. Sitting on an empty seat, Harry ordered a fire whiskey and prepared himself mentally for the burn of the alcohol. It had never been a habit of his to drink, but he was really in the mood.
After drowning down two mugs of fire whiskey, Harry turned to the side. His eyes widened slightly, he hadn’t even realized that someone had been sitting next to him. Through his hazy alcohol induced vision, he couldn’t make out the face of the person next to him. What am I a teenager? I’m already this drunk with only two drinks. Pathetic. Smiling politely at the man, he turned back around and drowned down more mugs of alcohol.
By his fourth drink, Harry was as wasted as he ever was. He couldn’t remember ever being so drunk. Turning to the side, he stared at the blurry figure. Harry assumed that the person sitting to him was far younger than he. Being the selfless person he was, he decided to give him a life lesson. It was the least he could do. “Never get married. Best advice, you’ll ever get.” Harry gestured to himself before beginning to speak. “This is what happens when you get married. Save yourself from a life of misery. You don’t want to end up like me.”

( you know my motovation , )❝given my reputation,❞- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stricty speaking he should have went back to the office and wrote a report on what had happened but that could wait until tomorrow. It wasn't like he was going to forget away. No he had a pretty good memory and if he did forget he could always extract and go into it. Being a wizard certainly did have it's advantges. The grin played about Theo's lips as he toyed with the glass in his hand. One foot was propped against the footrail that ran around the bar. One elbow rested on the bar top, the attached hand holding his glass, his other arm lay on the bar in a casual manner. He was thankful that this had been undercover and that he could wear his own clothes instead of his normal work attrire. Hanging around in a bar like this with a black suit on would have made him stick out like a sore thumb. Plus the fact he would have been uncomfortable by now. His casual attire of black jeans, a plaid shirt and boots was much better. At least he was at ease.
At least he had been until someone had taken up the position next to him at the bar and began talking. Theo only paid half attention to the guy's ramblings. He didn't care much for other people's problem's and if the guy kept going he would tell him as much. Plus he was rambling about being married and that he shouldn't bother and all that. Theo had never even dreamed of getting married, the thought of being stuck with the same person for the rest of his life made him bored just thinking about it. Putting down his drink he turned to the guy next to him and said "Don't worry i don't plan to, am not into inflicting pain on myself.". Well it was true why on earth would he want to make himself miserable. He then picked up his drink and downed it. He signalled to the barman to pour him another. He had a feeling he was going to need it.
Theo looked the guy sitting next to him over. He definetly knew him from somewhere. It wasn't until he took in the green eyes that he knew who it was. Harry Potter, or Mister perfect as he had been in school. Or at least that's what half the school had thought. Theo had never really paid much attention to the whole pureblood and interhouse crap his family and some of his friends had been into. So Harry's life it seemed wasn't a bed of roses but that was no surprise the guy seemed to be a magnet for drama. Theo couldn't help but smirk a little. He knew everyone thought Harry would end up with that Weasley chick but after the change had ended up with his best friend instead. Plus the fact he had grown quite handsome in the intervening years. Theo would have been lying if he said he hadn't. He wasn't Theo's type but it didn't mean he couldn't see it. "mind if i ask what's brought on the pity party Potter, the husband been ignoring you?"
