The 'I hate American Dragon's new look' thread

Hi guys-

Sorry to sidetrack this KP forum, but I thought that there will most likely be a 'I hate American Dragon's new look' thread here (since it seems to be everywhere else) I figured I'd just make it easy by having a one-stop convienient thread for all the complaining.

Much like all the things I dislike, I always pass judgement after seeing a 30 second preview.

Again, I apologize for posting some Am Drag thing on this wonderful KP forum, so here's a quote from Ron in 'Car Alarm'

So I take it that Car Alarm is from Season 4. Thank you, Mr. Loter, for that piece of information.

Just as long as Kim and Ron and the rest don't look too different in Season 4 from the first three seasons, I don't think anyone here should have any reason to complain. (Unless it's Ron from the Alternate Evil Universe who has the goatee, of course.)

And if you can't tell exactly what's wrong with an entire season from a single clip, what kind of fan are you, anyhow?

If you can, you're a critical, hardcore fan. If you can't, you're the average fan. I think that makes sense. I hope the title has something to with someone getting a car.

I wonder where the fish comes in.

They probably threw it in just for the halibut.

Haha, I just read about this. I don't watch the show, but I was SO shocked to see such a drastic change like that in the middle of the show. Is there any cartoon show in history that's done that before? Maybe it's just a one episode thing? Like Vir-tu-Ron xD?

KP won't change, ya :x? I just BURN to know what animation companies are handling Season 4 of KP. I'll cry if Rough Draft Korea isn't doing it anymore; I remember Steve Loter saying they were doing AmDragon when they released the Season Four news so they might not be able to do KP? For TV animation, they're really fascinating to watch; they handle the KP style & angles really well.

I have nothing to say about AD, which I could care less about, so I'll speculate about the episode mention: does this mean that SADI might be returning?

I haven't seen any of American Dragon's new material, so this post serves no purpose whatsoever. Except to say it may be a case of "Windwaker Syndrome". To elaborate, many fans of Nintendo's Legend of Zelda were displeased by the series game Windwaker's cel-shaded art style; however, almost everyone that played it absolutely loved it. How bad could it be? To be honest, I wasn't absolutely in love with the old style, so maybe I'll like this more.

Now, on to the latest KP Loterism. As I recall, our man Steve previously stated that Car Trouble was one of his least favorite episodes, so it seems unlikely that he'd call back to it if he has the option. So, hopefully SADI stays parked wherever it was she went, cause I never really liked her either. Plus, with a title like Car Alarm, it makes it much more likely that Motor Ed's coming back. And I would like that very much.

Actually, Steve, folks here at ARA typically require at least forty-five seconds to a minute of preview material before passing judgment on anything .

Sorry to hear you are being hung in effigy over the ADJL "new look". I know you have worked very hard to revitalize the series and take it in a new direction.

You're right. Still, SADI (sp?) was very cool. Maybe Ed tries to steal her?

Actually, "The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest" made tons of changes during its run, from animation style to voice cast... the rampant inconsistencies that resulted, though, pretty much doomed the series.

"So it is written in the Book of Rage!" Ugh... yeah, I still remember some of that crapola.


Since I don't watch American Dragon, I don't really have anything to comment on in that regard...

One can only hope that Motor Ed's returning. ^_^

AmDrag had the seeds of a great series, but there's a lot of stuff that didn't work for me. I have to admit, the dynamic between Rose and Jake is interesting, calls back to the old Catwoman/Batman tension from the 90's animated series. I look forward to seeing what comes up; I hope it picks up some viewers.
