Re-read your timeline yesterday night, Tom.
It's very interesting and very useful to make connections beetween the various era of the books! You make interersting discoveries like Jon Arryn knew (at least grew up under )Maekar etc.! Thanks again. Ser Lyonel |

Hi everyone,
I was using my holiday time to read again the Hedge Knight. They say Prince Baelor was 39 when he died (in 208) which means he was born around 168-169. And that makes me think (again My small contribution to Tom's timeline. Thanks again for it. Ser Lyonel |

The Hedge Knight takes place around 209, which appears to be the surer dating. Baelor Breakspear and Daemon Blackfyre were basically of an age -- both were born in the year 169-170.

Thank you M Luwin for the nice words. I intend to update bit by bit, hopefully with the help from the people at this board. So if anyone has any years I can put in, just post it here and I will edit the main timeline.

I just noticed that you are using the 'old' date for the Doom of Valyria: 200 years before the Conquest or 500 years before the present. This was the information given in AGoT. However, GRRM later changed his mind and the Doom was subsequently said to happen 100 years before the Conquest or 400 years before the present (this information is given in the introduction to The Sworn Sword and also in the ASoIaF RPG).

This is the first time I've read this wonderful timeline, and I'm really impressed. I just sort-of-decided to place my upcoming (maybe, someday, if I can get my Buffy addicted group to a satisfactory ending along the same time that my ASoIaF campaign is ready) campaign in the time of "The Sworn Sword" and "The Hedge Knight". This is a terrific resource and I'm really grateful to Tom and everyone who helped hammer the dates out!
