And everyday I'm learning about you. The things that no one else sees and the end comes too soon. Like dreaming of angels. And leaving without them. Being as in love with you as I am. YOU'RE THE MONSTER UNDERNEATH
LOST OF ALL FAITH. FEEDING OFF MY DREAMS, WHERE I THOUGHT I WAS SAFE

At the young age of nine, Lily Evans discovered the wonderful world of magic. But up until that point, she thought it to be nothing but the topic of fairy tales. Even at such an early age, Lily knew to be reluctant of the tales that the adults told. She knew to dig as deep as she could to find facts in those tales. And from there her passion for knowledge grew. It was her mother, Viola Evans, who taught her how to read. The former school teacher turned house wife shared her adoration toward learning with her child, but only her youngest caught the love for it. Once Lily understood the words in front of her, her passion for reading took off like wildfire. It wasn't uncommon in those days to find a young Lily Evans with her nose shoved into the spine of a book. Fiction or non-fiction, she adored it all. There was much to be learned from the text upon those pages, and Lily intended to absorb it all.

Mr. and Mrs. Evans couldn't have been more proud to see their youngest child soar, but there was one Evans family member that wouldn't have minded to see her fall. Even long before the discovery of Lily's magical side, Petunia Evans resented her little sister. It was Petunia that should have taught her baby sibling how to do so many things, but they had nothing in common. While Lily loved to learn, Petunia yearned to be beautiful. She busied herself with being 'normal' and while she often attempted to impress Lily with her skilled make-up techniques or how well dressed she often was, Lily would have nothing of it. From there the disdain stemmed. Their lives became an unintended war. Each sister battled to be better than the other, but only one knew of the war waging between the two. Lily had no idea her sister disliked her so much, only Petunia knew what fueled her need to be better than the youngest Evans sibling. What could be classified as nothing more than petty sibling rivalry would only become worse the day that Lily met Severus Snape.

A short distance from the Evans' home rested Spinner's End. Though they had lived so close for so long, Lily and Severus had never crossed paths until the summer of '69. The two made quick friends, and it was Severus who had awoke the magic inside of her. He taught her to embrace her uniqueness even though those around her wouldn't understand it, and in turn fear it. For the two years that would follow, Severus taught Lily all her could without breaching the laws of the magical world. But one day they could no longer keep it such a well hidden secret. Petunia became curious of her secret meetings with the boy and began to follow them. The moment she learned of the turn their meetings had taken, Petunia immediately reported it to their parents. She expected their mother and father to be appalled by the abomination they had created in their youngest daughter, but instead they were intrigued, and only wanted to know more. It came as no surprise to Lily the year her letter to Hogwarts arrived at their doorstep, for Severus had told her all about the school she would attend and the wonderful world she would soon step into. While Viola and Richard Evans were thrilled with what their daughter was, only Lily was truly excited to be sent off to Hogwarts. It was a whole new treasure chest full of knowledge for her to break open, and she wouldn't leave until she learned it all.

Lily and Severus rode the train together, chatting and giggling about what they would do the moment they stepped foot on Hogwarts' grounds. They had anticipated this day since the very moment they discovered they would be attending the school together. Of course they desired to be sorted into the same house, only to be disappointed when the sorting hat put Lily in Gryffindor and Severus in Slytherin. Though the two had been separated, their friendship never faltered. They always found time to enjoy one another's company. Lily kept to her word, and she did learn so much in the halls of Hogwarts. Like her dear friend Severus, Lily was specially skilled with Potions. She also had a knack for Charms. However, she excelled in all subjects, gaining her the attention of many Professors. But it wasn't just the Professors of Hogwarts' that took notice of young Lily Evans...

His name was James Potter, and he was everything Lily hated in a human being. Potter was a Pureblooded Wizard, coming from a prestigious family with wealth only Lily and Severus could dream about. And for some reason he was instantly taken with her. What started as harmless glances quickly turned into an annoying game. James would often follow her around the Grounds, begging for her attention. He would go out of his way to make a fool of himself, hoping to impress her. But she would have none of it. Lily was not fooled by his charm, while the other girls in school might have been so easily tricked. It didn't end there. James and his friends, often known as the Marauder's, had taken to tormenting her dear friend Severus. Lily was often fending them off, defending Severus, even if it did bother him in the end.

Now in her seventh year, Lily has grown into an intelligent and skilled young witch. Her intelligence has gained her the tile of Head Girl. But such a victory is so unfortunately bittersweet due to the fact that James Potter has followed her straight to the top, and she is forced to split her duties with him as Head Boy. With a war brewing outside of Hogwarts' walls, Lily fears the path her friend Severus will take. Though she knows his future has been planned out for him, she fears he doesn't see how this will end their friendship. This war is no place for a Muggleborn, but Lily intends to do whatever she can to help the greater good win once she graduates.

OH HELLO THERE, I AM MIKELANN!
AND HERE'S A LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT ME SO I'M NOT SO STRANGE.

I HATE ABOUT ME'S SO MUCH! Alright, so, as you know my name is Mikelann. I'm 22 years old and I work as a shift supervisor in Hell. I live in Michigan, much to my dismay, and I have a boyfriend I often refer to as 'the Boyfriend'. As of yet I have no characters on this site, but give me time and I'll have a bajillion. =3
