My son say's Linux is not as user friendly as Windows,it is more designed for programimg unless it is preinstalled and set up.It does not fix itself has easly as windows does when you have a problem.But newer version's may be more user friendly.A friend of his tried to install it on his computer and had a lot of trouble.The laptops at Acadia were preinstalled with it for learning programming.Good luck if you try it,you may not have any problem.Buy a retail version ,and maybe set up a double boot up.

Thanks for checking.
It sounds way too complicated for me, I heard even just to browse the net is quite an achievement!! (you have to change port settings etc), and then there`s the driver issues, which concern me most. |
