Stats for February for New Glasgow and Halifax. This is one of the greatest differences I've seen b/w the sites. The general weather pattern was indeed stratified north-south. New Glasgow was 1C below normal while Halifax was 2.5C above. Daily max temps were 6.9C warmer in Halifax than New Glasgow. The normal diff is 0.9C warmer! Also worthy of note is the scant snowfall in Halifax/Dartmouth city during February - only 13 cm. Normal is 40 cm.

I think you made a mistake with your new glasgow temps, your webpage says average high was -1.0 average low -9.3 and a mean of -4.7

A bit milder than the climatological norm in February here, but near normal precipitation. Seasonal snowfall total still running below average due to the slow start to the season.
