I was just looking at the Hurricane summary on Stormpulse for this year , only 2 named Hurricanes this year , Fred and Bill. A fairly quiet year it has been compared to last year with 8 named Hurricane's. Perhaps next year will be a bit more exciting.

Indeed quiet ... but has allowed me to concentrate on other topics at work. There is one trying to form north of Costa Rica: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ Pretty far south too. |

 ... nope ... the acquisition of synthetic aperture radar winds over the ocean and utility in verification of our limited area models is one example in a long list.

Oh that, I worked on that last year. I decided none of them were feasible. Feasible to understand that is. <_< |
