Personality: Brooklyn is the hardest working person you will ever meet. Her diligence to take the lead, complete her objectives, and reach her goals comes from her home life. She is used to taking the initiative to complete chores, pick up her siblings from school, make dinner, everything, thanks to her mother poor maternal skills. Brooklyn had no choice but to step up and assume the role of the mother in her household thanks to her mother drug habits that left her incapacitated. Brooklyn is the same sort of person in her place of work, making her a shift leader and the most heavily relied upon employee at the diner.
Brooklyn is very approachable, her years spent working at the diner has trained her to have a smile on her face no matter the situation. She is easy to talk to but also easy to push over. She tends to pick up everybody's slack. Brook is a very caring and understanding individual but the more often you take advantage of it the more she begins to recognize that the relationship is one sided. Brooklyn works very hard to take care of herself and her family and she can't help but be annoyed when someone mooches off of her or rubs their wealth in her face. Brooklyn will be the most loyal person in your life, just make sure you treat her with respect or you will be sent packing.

A long, strange trip

History: Brooklyn was born on a November day twenty-four years ago to Laura Meyers and Eric Johnson. Brooklyn was an accident. She was the unfortunate pregnancy that took place when her parents were too high on drugs or alcohol to use some form of birth control. Not long after Brooklyn was born, her father skipped out on her and her mother. Not that she really cares or thinks about her father, it's just what took place. Eric is one last loser she has to take care of. Her mother is a handful all on her own.
Before Brooklyn was old enough to take care of herself, she spent most of her time at her grandparents house while her mother worked her two jobs. One job was for the sake of their livelihood while the other was to support her addiction. Brook spent most of her childhood enjoying her grandmother's second hand smoke and watching
The Price Is Right instead of
Nick Jr. like "normal" children.
When Brooklyn nine years old, her mother got herself knocked up again by her long time boyfriend, Kyle Williams. Before she knew it her mom was having Kyle's second child. Not that Brooklyn disliked her half-siblings, but she missed out on much of her teen years because of them. While her mother worked and "medicated", Brooklyn took care of her children and basically took over the role of mommy for the two of them. If it had not been for Brendan and Jacquelyn, Brooklyn would have left home as soon as Kyle laid a hand on her. Laura was not alright when she finally caught Kyle beating on her daughter in a drunken stupor and sent him packing.
It was not until she was twenty that Brooklyn's mom finally checked into rehab and Brendan and Jaquelyn were sent to live with her grandparents. It was then that Brooklyn moved out of her mother's tiny apartment and sought her own living space. Between working full time at the diner to pay for her living expenses and save for school, Brooklyn makes frequent visits to her younger siblings. If she could afford for them to live with her, she would have them there in an instant. However, Brooklyn realizes that she is not responsible for her mother's mistakes and must work to better herself if she does not want to end up in the same boat.
