Watch out! Here comes...Full Name:
Oliver Marshall WadeNickname(s):
Working on his Doctorate in English, & Professor in a handful of intro classes.Group:
Oliver is 5'10 with dark brown hair and honey-brown eyes. He also has reading glasses(his mother says it was too many hours with his nose in a book). He doesn't care too much about the way he looks so shaving is sort of hit or miss, and his clothing tends toward comfort over style. He's not the tragic socks with sandals sort of fashion victim, but definitely doesn't shop with trends in mind. He's pretty clean cut otherwise, no tattoos or piercings, though if you forced him he'd admit to the long ago mistake of letting his brother pierce his ear. Thankfully it's healed up, though if you look very close there is a very very faint scar on his right lobe.
Looks can be deceiving...Likes:
+That really sweet waitress at the diner
+Losing his reading glasses
+The anxiety before a first date

-Anything happening to his niece or nephew
-Being alone with his female students(makes him slightly uncomfortable)
-The failure of th ebook he's been working on for six yearsPersonality:
Oliver is really passionate about literature, and is his most vital while giving a lecture. He has a car, but prefers to take his bike since he lives downtown and about twenty minutes from work(by bike). It keeps him active, and he saves money- something he likes because he doesn't have a whole lot of it. He doesn't have a whole lot of it. he doesn't have much of a social life outside the classroom and his studies, though his students sometimes coax him out with them.
For Oliver, a wild night is meeting some friends or colleagues at the University Bar for a few beers, and then going home to bed. Normally, though, he has lunch or dinner (sometimes both) at the diner near campus and grades papers or works up a lecture, goes home and takes his mutt Keats for a walk, reads a book, and goes to bed. All in all pretty boring stuff, except that he's also an active member of the Vampire Liberation Group (VLG)

Keats...a terrior mixHistory:
Oliver grew up in the City, his childhood home now resides withing the walled off portion of the city that became Coldtown. His parents retired to Florida, so it's not as if they care, but it makes him uneasy to be that close to such dark events. He was liked well enough all through school, had a girlfriend more often than not, and studied hard to get where he is now. In fact he's still working his way toward that Doctorate, and hopefully a permanent position at the City University. In the mean time he also works part time in his sister Maggie's rare and used book store.
Oliver has been single just over a year now, a record for him. He met his last girlfriend in their senior year of college. They moved in together after graduation and co-habitated for four years. While he was in the middle of searching for that perfect ring and the most romantic way to propose, she suddenly announced that she was leaving him to move into Coldtown.
She wanted to live forever, and nothing he said or did could convince her that a few years with a pulse was better than eternity without. She took off in the middle of the night and he hasn't seen her since. Occasionally he check up on her through Facebook, and for the moment she seems to be alive...but it's only a matter of time.
So now he focuses on work, and doesn't really date, though he has been out a few times since she left. He's determined not to become a "mopey mess" which is why he went out and got Keats - a terrier mix of some kind - to keep him company. And he entertains himself with thoughts of asking the pretty waitress out that works at the diner near campus...without looking like a scumbag.
He joined the VLG because he thinks that having all the vampires in one place presents too much temptation, and he thinks Coldtown should be taken down.
