Terry had way too much homework already and it was only the first week of classes. But there he was coming home from the library at ten at night. Another late night studying there with his Biology 263 study group, and then more studying on his first History 102 test, and then working on some calculus homework left him wondering why he took such a heavy load his first semester. Why he was becoming a surgeon of all things? A neurological surgeon if he had his way. Then he remembered. A good surgeon probably could've helped his grandfather and if he could help someone else from that loss, then he would have lived a full life. Even if they couldn't afford it.

He looked down at his watch. 10:05. Serena was probably worried sick that he didn't come home. Ever since the death of Mason Stone even those not close to him worried when people didn't come home on time. He turned the door knob and stuck his head into the house. "Bunny, I'm home!"

Serena was sitting on the couch doing her psychology homework when she heard the doorknob finally turn. It was hard for her to truely put her mind in her homework when she was worried about Terry and his lateness. She looked up and felt releived to see his face poke through the door and say "Bunny I'm home". Most people would take the bunny nickname as if it was related to her former playboy profession, but it was nothing but innocent, just like Terry. She let a smile form on her lips. "I was worried about you mister." She said in a joking scolding tone and shook her finger at him.

He looked at her and smiled, walking over to the couch. "Deanna, Matt, and Rita wouldn't stop talking about the darn ozone layer. If it weren't for that paper being a group thing, I would've tried to leave earlier." He smiled and took a seat next to her. He looked over and saw the psych book. "Oh you're studying. I should be quieter." He smiled his boyish smile and then looked again at what section her class was on. Unfortunately they'd only been placed in one class together, English. Which was okay. Speaking of English... "You started your first English paper yet? The stupid thing about what writing means to us?"

He couldn't start it. Because his writing was private, when he did write. And he only wrote about the losses in his life, or writing to the people he wrote. It was easier that way. The only other thing he wrote was in his journal, usually addressed to his parents or more lately, his grandfather.

He thought for a second and then replayed her opening comment in his head. "You know, we act like we're married. Only 1950s sitcom married where they sleep in two different beds."

"Who knows, we might actually get married someday and sound exactly like this, except with more love." Sere teased him, she had the biggest crush on Terry but she didn't speak a word about it really, she flirted with him but he was pretty innocent and never thought of it as actual flirting. "Nope I sure haven't..I am putting it off as much as possible." She admited and laughed slightly. " I am not much of a writer, I am more of a performer." She made a face when she thought of it in a "unholy" way. "Is it just me or did that make me sound like a stripper?" She asked with a playful smile on her face.

He didn't want to think about them getting married, because he could actually see it already. Serena in a beautiful white dress and him in a classic black tuxedo, simple and elegant. The only thing non-traditional about their wedding would be there would be a rabbit somewhere in it, probably white or dark brown because no rabbit came in the color of Serena's hair. He looked over at her. "There can be more love than what we show already?" He was teasing of course. He knew there could be, because face it, she could actually be in love with him.

He stood up and looked towards the kitchen. "You eaten dinner yet? I was thinking of heating up a pot pie and wanted to know if you wanted one."

Serena pretended to have to think about the love question and laughed slightly. "Hmm maybe." She shook her pretty red haired head and then heard him mention a pot pie, she definitely hadn't ate anything in the last 24 hours, she hadn't had a chance. "Actually that sounds lovely right now, I seriously haven't ate a drop of anything." She admitted to him. "I ended up visiting Ridley at lunch time instead of actually eatting something." She couldn't help but to think about Cacie in that moment, when would she ever find the time to go see her best friend and catch up? Infact she hadn't seen Cacie for quite sometime and missed her opinionated blonde friend.

"Chicken, beef, or turkey? I think we still have turkey... unless you ate the last turkey..." He trailed off, stopping himself from rambling about turkey pot pies. "Unless you want a real dinner, in which case I'll make up some spaghetti or something." Okay so he'd admit it. He loved to cook. It was relaxing to him. He waited for Serena's answer while thinking of other things they had in the house. "Or we could be real college kids and eat breakfast right now. Bacon, eggs, biscuits... we're out of flour though so I won't be able to whip up gravy. I think we have pancake mix..." He stopped himself again. He was turning into an over eager puppy dog, willing and ready to please Serena. Get to her heart through her stomach if he could. Just so he could have her heart in some way.

Serena couldn't help but to let a huge smile form over her lips and also laugh a little at how eager he was to fix her food at 11 something at night. Sere stood up from the couch and grabbed his hand to pull him up as well. "Woah slow down there hubs, it's late and I don't need too many carbs, it will throw my figure off." She teased him, she had to playfully call him hubs since he was acting like one at that moment, a good husband would definitely cook away in the kitchen for his wife. "How about I help you for once."

He heard her tell him to slow down and blushed a little. "You know how I get when it comes to cooking. I'm obsessed." He got a manic look in his eyes and forced them to start darting towards the kitchen. It was a fun trick he'd always been able to do, ever since he was a child. It freaked his mother out a lot, Terri always thought Terry was going into some small form of a seizure. Really he was just goofing off. He heard her offer to help and nodded. "C'mon Bunny, lets go cook up something good to eat."

Okay there were ulterior motives in the back of his innocent mind. There was nothing sexier or more intimate (that didn't break his virginity) than cooking with someone you cared about.

"That's the spirit!" She said in her cheerleading voice, it was a hard habit to break her cheerleading habits. After all Serena Mason was on the Degrassi cheerleading squad from 7th grade until the day she graduated, she had a major devotion to it, just like she had a devotion to the Friendship Club. She didn't let go of his hand and skipped toward the kitchen pulling him along with her. Sere didn't mind being hand and hand with Terry more than a second, hell if she finally managed to confess her love to him, they could be hand in hand for hours.

He heard her cheerleader voice and shook his head. It was times like that that he felt completely out of his league. Even though he was holding her hand, well she was holding his because she's the one that started hand holding contact, he felt out of his league. He was Terrence Deavers: good boy, best friend, All-American boy in Canada. She was Serena Mason: cheerleader, ex-Playboy Bunny, everything that a guy could want. They weren't the kind of combination that happened and he knew it, though he wished that just once they could kiss or something so he could die happy. You're a little pathetic, you know that right Terry? Yes I do. Okay just so you know. He felt himself be pulled into the kitchen and once in there, he dropped her hand so he could find something that wasn't too filled with carbs to cook. "Okay, what are you in the mood for Sere?"

Serena felt him drop her hand and leaned up against the kitchen counter, she heard his question and started to think of what she could eat that wasn't too carby. "You know what? Screw worrying about carbs, I am dying for your famous chocolate chip waffles. You know you could totally use those to your advantage." She teased him playfully and flipped her hair, it was a habit she had, even if it seemed like she was some sort of a diva for it. That was one thing that threw people off, she seemed like she could be a total self centered bitch but when you talked to Serena, well you either A)wanted to be her friend or B)You fell in love with her.

He heard her request chocolate chip waffles, and then made another suggestion about using them to his advantage. He cocked an eyebrow. "My mind just thought things that no good Christian should ever think. Unless we're talking Christian Hellsend who from what I hear isn't that Christian." He gave her a cute smile and walked to the counter. He had to get away from her very seductive hair toss. She thought there were only two options of what the hair toss did, but really there was a choice C that meeting Serena Mason did to people, or at least to him. Option C was All of the Above. He wanted to be her friend and fell in love with her at first sight, or meeting, or whatever. Maybe not in love, but I know what I mean.

He pulled out all the ingredients for chocolate chip waffles from the cupboards and the waffle maker from on top of the fridge. "You want to learn how to make them?"

"Hm well that was the point silly." Sere smirked slightly and noticed him grabbing the stuff to make the waffles, he was too cute, especially when she threw comments like that his way, he always seemed to distract himself from her in some way. She wasn't stupid, sure she didn't know that he actually loved her, but she definitely knew he found her attractive, most people did, if they didn't, they were gay and even the gay guys had to give the girl her props. She smiled and nodded. "Actually I'd love to." She told him, replying back to his question.
