HOGART, TRISTAN
AGE Nineteen; EDUCATION Freshman in College; OCCUPATION Cashier at Vaughn's Guitar Shop
PERSONALITY: Jackass. Sarcastic. Prick. Those are just a few words that are oftenly used when talking about Tristan Hogart. He's a complete and total jackass, and he's really not afraid to admitt it. Tristan isn't shy, he's completely outgoing -- So what he says may be offending sometimes. He doesn't care what anybody thinks of him, he just is what he is. He has an opinion about basically everything there is to have an opinion about. He doesn't care if you don't like him -- And he's definitley not scared to tell you that he doesn't like you either. He loves debates, he loves fighting -- It's sort of like a drug for him; he's completely addicted. He honestly gets high off of other people's frustration and rage, and he just really likes to fuck with people, just to see how far he can push them before they break. The unbreakable people and the people who challenge him are definitley his favorite, because he loves a good challenge and a good strive to make someone reach their breaking point.
But don't let all of that fool you. Tristan has a beautiful mind, and he's often cocky about how wonderful that mind truly is. He's extremely intelligent to where other people feel intimidated by him. He's very creative and he really likes to be original - Do things that other people don't do, try things that everyone else is afraid of trying. He's really good with words when he's serious about things, and if you would read his journal, you'd understand. Tristan builds walls around his heart, and normally doesn't let anyone close to him. He prefers not to trust anyone; and not to let them get too close, in fear that he would be hurt in the process. He hates when people take advantage of him and what he has to offer, so you will find that not very many people are close to Tristan Hogart. He just isn't possible to get in too close -- He's very good at pushing people away.
BACKGROUND HISTORY: Tristan Elijah Hogart was born to Jay and Paige Hogart. And you know what that means - Controversy from the very start. But don't get me wrong. They had their 'normal-family-moments', where everything seemed like it'd be okay. But then there was always, and more constantly, the bad days when everything felt like it was falling apart. It mostly starts where Paige is constantly working and going many, many places to promote her skin-care and make-up line, while Jay drinks up all the money and obsorbs himself in his mechanic job, that really is pretty pathetic to begin with. Though, the family tries to sit down for family dinners, and Jay and Paige tried to be there for their children sometimes -- More Paige than Jay.
Paige is a soccer mom, which says it all. Tristan started playing soccer when he was five years old, and as soon as he turned six and his little sister, Janine, turned five -- He taught her how to play as well. Paige was always on the run; from her job, to soccer practice, to cheerleading practice with Janine, to a soccer game, to a gymnastics practice, and then she made some time to go and play in the park with her kids and get them some ice-cream. Jay was hardly ever there to help out, and when he was, he just spoiled little Janine. He had this thing about letting her see only the good side of him -- Mostly because she was his little girl and she was the baby of the family. On the other hand, Jay and Tristan clashed their whole lives. Tristan always appreciated his mother, even though she was controlling and she stressed a lot. He loved her and he defended her when Jay put her down -- Which was quite often.
The hitting started when Tristan was eleven. Jay was drunk, came home, and laid a big one on Paige. It blacked up her eye, and Tristan was awake to catch the moment. From that moment on, Tristan forced himself to grow up in the household. He started protecting Janine even more than he already did, and he constantly took it upon himself to take care of her. He got her food, walked her to school, beat-up assholes on the playground for her -- Everything. He made himself a promise that he'd never let Jay hit Janine - ever. And that's when the wall was built around his heart. He really stopped trusting people to come around for him. Tristan started hating his mom for not doing anything about Jay's abusive and drinking problems, and Paige slowly stopped making an effort to care for her kids, because Jay led her to believe she was already doing so horribly. It pissed Tristan off more than anything to see a weak person. He promised himself that he would never be seen weak or vulnerable like that. He wanted to be strong, and he wanted to control his own life. He wanted to show his parents that he was worth something.
He studied hard in school, got really great grades, and developed this beautiful mind. He started drawing, taking pictures, and writing a lot by the time he was twelve, and he had millions upon millions of journals filled with poems, and words coming from his most inner-self. Tristan only trusted two people from then on. Janine and Suri. Suri had become a huge part of Tristan's life by that year, both of them growing up together and growing very very close. She was Tristan's best friend, aside from Greg Cameron. When Tristan was twelve he had a crush on her, and one day while she was teaching him to play piano, he kissed her. Suri was always in love with Mason, and she wasn't scared to let Tristan know that. They stayed friends anyway, and Tristan let go. It broke his heart, but he got over it. He realized he'd rather be her friend.
Tristan started playing girls and messing around with them by the time he was fourteen, and when he was fifteen, he lost his virginity. He dated all sorts of girls, and being as gorgeous, smart, and athletic as he was -- He had very many. He never got attached to any of them though, because he kept his wall built up. It wasn't until last year that he let himself open up. Tristan fell for his rival, Natalie Painter. They had always bickered, faught, and hated one another -- But after opening up to each other, Tristan fell for her. She was on this track with Dexter DelRossi at the time, so it took Mason cheating on Suri, Suri and Mason getting engaged, and Suri almost dying for him to realize life was too short to dick around for forever. Natalie went to New York, came home, and Tristan asked her to be his girlfriend -- The first real relationship he's ever had. They've been dating since April, and it's been 5 months already and still going. Tristan's never let a girl this close, so it has to mean something.
Tristan was planning on playing professional soccer in England this fall, but Natalie and Suri were a convincing team, and got him to stay. He's now attending UOT, playing college soccer there. Once he graduates, he plans on going pro for real.

PAINTER, NATALIE
AGE Eighteen; EDUCATION Senior at Degrassi; OCCUPATION
PERSONALITY:
BACKGROUND HISTORY: Natalie was born to Natalie Painter and Dustin Armstrong in New York City. Her mother was a total feminist, but made her way up the social chain, ironically, by getting with the high-ranking guys. She married Dustin because he was rich, and a complete push over.
Growing up, Natalie, or 'Nat' as her close friends call her, was many things. First and foremost, she was very open. Under her mother's influence (and the lack of her father's), she was taught how to live the 'good life'. Socialite dinners, "Coming Out" parties, and Benefit Luncheons were a great part of her upbringing in New York City. To Natalie Painter Sr. everything was about appearances, and what so-and-so thought/said about their family.
However, for the most part, it was her older brother who took a lot of the heat for everything. He was the "golden boy" of the family, expected to do no wrong, and when he was still alive, the Painter family was pretty happy. Her father and her mother still went out together, acted like they actually (god forbid) liked each other. Natalie was a daddy's girl through and through, and spoiled to ridiculous proportions because Dustin could never say no to his 'baby girl'. That, of course, was when Jimmy was still alive.
When Natalie was ten years old, Jimmy died in a car accident. The only other person in the car was Natalie, and she got away without a scratch. Nat was completely devastated by this, especially at her young age. She'd loved her brother, but she never grieved him (after all, breaking down wasn't good for the family image). She held it in, developing her attitude and a sort of cynicism about life in general.
When Natalie was 15, she moved to Toronto with her parents. They'd decided they needed a "change of scenery" because of the way Natalie was acting. Her mother said she'd developed an "attitude" and maybe, with a change of pace (and all new friends), she'd start acting like the Natalie her mother "knew and loved". Natalie on the other hand, was sick of her mother controlling everything in her life and resented being forced to move. She realized that she didn't want to end up like her brother, trapped and forced into a mold that she didn't fit and promised herself, once graduation came around, she would move back home herself.
After the move, her home life was a cold one. Her parents didn't even pretend to care for each other (they slept in separate bedrooms, never talked to each other, etc, etc.). Natalie's father basically spent weeks at a time on "business trips" and whenever he was home, he locked himself in his study. Ever since her brother's death, it was like she had a ghost for a father. The truth of the matter was, Dustin could no longer look at his "baby girl" without seeing his dead son.
Of course, it wasn't all bad for the tiny, brunette. Her first week at Degrassi, she met her best friend-to-be, Suri Manning. This basically became her turning point. Through Suri, she met Mason Stone and Tristan Hogart. She thought Mason was awesome and funny and the fact that Suri loved the kid, made it even easier to like him. Tristan, on the other hand, well...not so much. That relationship basically consisted of the both of them wishing the other would disappear. Of course, that didn't stop Natalie from developing one of the best friendship's she'd ever had, and Suri still remains one of the reasons she's not so quick to run back to NYC anymore.
A few months after her arrival to Degrassi, at the age of fifteen, she got her first "real boyfriend". He was a junior in high school and she sort of, kind of, fell in love with him. She ended up, very stupidly and irrationally, giving up her virginity to him because he used the whole "if you really love me...". He broke up with her soon after and of course, being Natalie, she didn't wallow in self-pity. She just decided that guys in general were scumbags and not worth her time. Understandably, she's not quick to trust guys in relationships anymore and for a long time, she held the belief that "love" didn't really exist. Her exact words were something along the lines of, "love is just an excuse people use so that they can sleep with each other and not feel guilty".
All throughout her freshman and sophomore years, she "dated" guys that her mother set her up with, but she really could have cared less if on of them had dropped off the face of the earth. It was simply to keep her mom out of her hair, and plus, if she absolutely had to get married, she was going to marry rich, figuring that she was being forced to attach herself to some guy, she might as well get something out of it.
Her views on relationships weren't really helped when Suri got pregnant in her senior year. Mason was the father, and although she tried really hard to be happy for them, she couldn't help but think that it would all end in disaster. It was pretty much all the doing of Dexter DelRossi, that she stayed sane during that period of time. He was her tutor and, despite the fact that she basically made it her mission to make their every tutoring session about his lacking social skills, he became a good friend to her (it also helped that he loved Suri just as much as she did). He tried to show her that not all guys were jerks and he did a good job of it, even going so far as to ask her out on a date (to which she said yes). However, Natalie didn't really know how she felt about him, and it was at that point it time that their entire group of friends was rattled. Mason left a very-pregnant Suri and everything that Natalie had feared when the couple was in their "this is going to be great!" phase, was realized.
And, in Degrassi, when it hits, it hits hard. The day that Mason left Suri, Tristan was due back from his trip to England. Obviously, Suri wasn't prepared to go pick him up, so Natalie did it, leaving her best friend in the ample care of Dexter. Of course, the trip to the airport and back was all sorts of pleasant as Tristan was basically gearing up to rip Mason's head off (while still finding time to regale her with stories about all the English girls who thought he was hot and let him photograph them topless) . Apparently, though, wanting to kill Suri's boyfriend was a good unifying factor because, after punching Mason and having a mini-breakdown, Tristan called Natalie to keep him company and the rest...just happened.
Of course, nothing in Degrassi is ever that simple, and after a nice screaming match between the two, Natalie going to her formal with Dexter, Suri getting in a car accident and almost dying, and Natalie running off to New York for a few weeks, things just seemed to work themselves out. Now, Tristan and Natalie are together, which really doesn't make her mother very happy, and her best friend Suri Manning, is now Suri Stone (much heartbreak and many apologies later). Her hatred for Mason is pretty much non-existant now, and she's trying her best to learn to forgive and forget.
It's her senior year, and everything seems to be running smoothly. Of course, who knows how long that will last. After all, it's Degrassi.

HOGART, JANINE
AGE Seventeen; EDUCATION Senior at Degrassi; OCCUPATION Tour Guide at Sixteenth Note
PERSONALITY:
BACKGROUND HISTORY: Janine Kaylin Hogart is the second of two children of Jay and Paige Hogart. She was born in Toronto, Canada on the 22nd of November. When Janine was young, Paige began to teach her daughter how to cheer. As a small girl Janine actually liked being able to go to all of the spirit squad practices that Paige would let her tag along to. Janine knew most of the Degrassi school cheers by heart when she was only four since she had been to so many practices. Paige noticed that her daughters face would light up when she would attend spirit squad practice and decided that maybe her daughter was destined to be captain of the spirit squad one day. Paige didn't mind if her daughter was interested in other things, she just wanted her main focus to be on spirit squad; and Janine didn't really like that.
Nowadays its a rare sight for you to walk into the Hogart house and see Jay around. But back in the good 'ole days Jay was around quite a lot; well.. that Janine remembers anyways. On the days that Paige was too busy to let Janine go to spirit squad practices she would ask Jay to take their daughter to work with her. Since Jay sort of partially owned Cameron's he often opted to take his daughter out to the zoo or to the park. If you were to ask someone who was older than three years old this only happened about four times in all of Janine's childhood, but if you ask Janine it happened all the time. Most of her old memories are a little fuzzy, and they're definitely sugar coated.
When Janine wasn't going to spirit squad practices, or going around town with her dad she spent most of her time tagging along with her big brother, Tristan. Paige didn't like that Janine was spending as much time with her older brother as she was because while the sibling bonding was good, Tris was teaching Janine how to play soccer. And that was far from a good thing for Paige who wanted J's total focus to be on spirit squad. J didn't really mind that Paige didn't like that she was learning to play soccer, and her subconscious seemed to like the fact and so she honed her soccer skills as much as she could as a kid. Throughout her childhood she didn't think that there could possibly be a cooler person that Tristan Hogart; he taught her soccer, told her how to take the good candy out of Mason's bag when he wasn't looking and even managed to get her extra pieces of cake after dinner. Of course.. there was always Steve from Blues Clues and Spider-Man.
When Janine was in the 5th grade she asked her father to sign her up for soccer; she'd half hoped that she could get out of cheerleading and also half hoped that she'd impress her brother. It was a rare occasion, Jay was sober and he was actually listening. He took his daughter to sign up for the league and when they got home that night they both explained to Paige that Janine didn't want to cheer anymore. It wasn't really as simple as 'that settles that' like Janine had thought it would be, because after she went to bed that night her parents began to fight. It was nothing new, but Janine had never heard it before. That sort of freaked Janine out and it seemed like more and more after that night that Jay and Paige were fighting.
Because she was so young when Janine spent time with her father all of her memories are fuzzy. She seems to have the details mixed up on what actually went down in the Hogart household when she was a girl because she swears up and down that she spent more time with her father than her mother; she often gets into fights with Tristan about who the better parent is and on occasion when they play 20 questions she'll get asked the 'Would you still want to live with Dad if he turned gay and divorced Mom?' question and when she would say yes Tris had the tendency to hit the roof. Even though Janine won't attempt to get some information from someone who was actually old enough to know what was going on when she was a kid she isn't sure that she wants to know the truth. She has images of who everyone is in her head and she doesn't want those images to have to be repainted.
Janine was only a baby when she met her best friends Cacie and Serena; she met them at such a young age because their fathers, Sean and Spinner, were two of Jay's closest friends from high school. The girls would often be dropped off at someone's house and have a play date. Janine, Cacie and Serena have been the best of friends since they were young and have no intent on changing that any time soon. They have their traditions, and plenty of inside jokes that get them weird looks from other people.
Of course people meet their best friends when they're kids, its just how its supposed to happen. And even before she met Serena and Cacie Janine met Caridee Jones. Her parents were friends of her Uncle Dylan. They were babies when they met and have stayed in very close contact since. They were pen pals once kindergarten hit, called each other on the phone every day since they were three, even if the conversations were pretty pointless, and have spent every summer together (minus this one) since they were kids. Janine only trusts a few people in her life, and Caridee Jones is one person that she trusts completely.
It's a good thing that Janine has all of the close friends that she does, because as of last years prom her home life has sort of come tumbling down. After an incident at her house on the day of prom her brother moved out of the house which crushed Janine more than words could imagine. She already thought that her house was a living hell hole and not having anyone to live through it with made it that much worse. Janine had contemplated moving out of the house but after said incident happened again she realized that she was better staying home. The abuse only happened twice throughout the rest of Janine's junior year and because she was a semi-optimistic person when it came to her father being a good person she decided that it would never happen again and that she could safely go to Malibu with Cameron and not ruin the trip they had planned two months ago.
So during the first week of the summer Janine took off for Malibu, leaving all of the little problems behind. She let herself soak up the sun, though it mostly resulted in sunburn due to the fact that she and Cam were too lazy to go buy sun block. Janine only called when she knew that no one would answer back home. In the back of her mind she knew that something could've happened and she didn't want to risk her mother or father picking up the phone and giving bad news so she purposely called during the hours of the day that she knew her mom was either heading to work, or heading home from work. This seemed to work out well and with every message she left she got one back from Paige. To Janine this meant that all was well in the Hogart house for the first time in a very long time and when Cacie Cameron came to Malibu she thought something might be wrong.
But that was changed when she found out that Cacie had really just come to Malibu to talk to Cam which settled Janine over. Cacie was in Malibu for a week, and in that week (when Cace wasn't talking to Cam) Janine felt that their friendship had reached its all time high. They seemed to be now where they were right before high school. After many years of distancing themselves to think about their own problems the two girls were finally back on the same page; and it felt nice. After Cacie left Janine and Cam only had three more weeks in Malibu, and when those three weeks were up Janine went home and it wasn't what she'd left it as.
Her mother was more beat up, apparently her father had gone on random rampages because he could. When Janine realized what had been going on she wondered if her brother had ever cared enough to come and check on her mom and when she saw the bruises she figured that he hadn't. It was in the first five minutes that Janine was back in her house that she decided she would just have to stay here and make sure that her mom was OK and that she didn't get too much physical abuse. She didn't know if she could live with herself if her mom got too severely hurt.
There isn't a soul in all of Toronto who knows about what goes down in the Hogart house behind closed doors, besides the Hogart family, and thats partially because Paige doesn't want her family image to be ruined. Now that time has wore on Jay's not just a drunk.. he's an abusive drunk. Actually, thats a lie. There's only one person in Toronto who isn't a Hogart that knows what goes down. And that is Caridee, Janine told her a few weeks after it got bad but made her promise not to do anything about it, and even though it seems to be confusing to Caridee she hasn't told anyone and Janine loves her more for that fact than anything else. Most people knew that it would be a matter of time, but it was the farthest thing from reality to Janine. All she could think some nights was 'since when does this stuff happen to me? It's supposed to happen to someone on the news, not to me,' it may sound selfish but she was in a state of denial until the end of August. Then reality really hit. What she assumed would never happened, damn had she been ignorant, did. She knew that if she told Tristan he'd hit the roof and due to the fact that she didn't bruise easy she figured she would be OK. But things aren't OK, they're going for Janine just like they're going for her mother. Down the drain.
Since Janine got back she hasn't really been herself. She's been distancing herself from the people that she promised to tell everything to nearly 17 years ago. But right now she can't tell her two best friends what the hell is going on in her house because if she tells them they might tell the cops. And while its true that she hates her father she's still thinking that one day he'll wake up and snap out of it. But that hasn't happened just yet, and every day she wakes up thinking the same thing. Today will be the day.
Instead of actually talking to people in person or on the phone Janine has opted for the wonders of facebook and texting. They worked for her last year when she was still talking to people face to face and she figures they'll work this year when she doesn't want to.
For weeks now Janine has been attempting to get her mother to move out of the house, she doesn't know why but her mother just won't leave. She hasn't been getting near as enough damage as her mother has but she's coming close to the last straw. She threatened her mother that she would move out but all she got was a vacant nod.
Now that her senior year at Degrassi is finally here J had plans to apply herself more than she's ever done before so that she doesn't have to go to school in Toronto, but since she's been focusing so much on getting herself and her mother out of their hell hole household she hasn't been doing much focus on her work. In fact she's sort of been skipping... every spirit squad practice and she's nearing being kicked off (not that she would really mind, anyway). Janine's attempting to get herself to tell Tristan about her dad but she's afraid he'll hit a gasket or something so she tries to always be in a sweater when she goes to her brothers apartment, it seems to be working nicely for her.
Janine's friend list, well the ones that she's talking to regularly, have seemed to dwindled down to Tristan, Cohen and Caridee. Tristan because Janine doesn't think she can go a day or two without talking to her brother, Cohen because they've been having their conversations on facebook for nearly a year now and according to Janine thats safe communication and Caridee because she trusts her completely with whats going on to see her at her worst. She attempts to call Sere and Cacie up but usually hangs up on the second or third ring. Now that schools started again she knows that she'll have to face Cacie and so she's trying to get back to her usual snarky self but she doesn't know if she has the energy in her to do all of the stuff she used to do this year.
Janine's life is spiraling downward pretty quickly and she doesn't know if she has anyone to stop her fall. Hopefully, just hopefully, she'll find someone soon enough. |

STONE, MACKENZIE
AGE Seventeen; EDUCATION Senior at Degrassi; OCCUPATION Model
PERSONALITY: Mackenzie always was know as the 'Stone Girl', she's the kind of the person that the girls want to be, and the boys want to be with, and hating her for that. She's the epitome of the perfect teenager should be, beautiful, intelligent, popular and wealthy. A perfectionist, she not stand be on the second plan, for her second place it's not an option, it's all or nothing, she's a very competitive person and win is the least that she can do. Being the youngest and only girl on the family made her a spoiled girl, but not so much in the point of being a annoying little brat, she knows what she wants and she'll do anything that she can do to get it. Beyond determined Mackenzie is very charismatic, charming and easy-smile person, good spirited she's always joking around with her witty and quirk ways, especially with her best friends, her fraternal twin brother Cohen and Shiloh Manning.
She can be very impulsive, doing whatever is in her mind, she constantly uses cynicism and irony in her favor and always has quirk comebacks. Her personality is strong, she like to speak her mind and is faithful for what she is and to her family and friends, she's not in the world to please the others but to please herself, and it's not going to change. Very stubborn Mackenzie hates being contradicted or being wrong, she's always having small arguments with Cohen because of his protective self about her love-life, but she's doesn't like too much of his female companies either, however she doesn't demonstrate, much. She's very passionate with everything that she do, always doing her better, being at the school, with her friends or family, she like to live intensely, not wild-crazy intensely, her life, to when she look back don't exist disappointments and 'what if's'.
After Mason's death many people thought that she was going to close herself from the world as Cohen and Suri, and she did, but not the way that they expected. For Kenzie was that Mason's death never happened, or worse, Mason never existed. She doesn't speak about Mason or Mason related subjects, actually she avoids it as a vampire runs from cross. She kept acting as nothing changed but with an extra bubble personality and making herself too busy so she won't have time to think about it.

STONE, SURI
AGE Eighteen; EDUCATION Graduated; OCCUPATION Unemployed
PERSONALITY: Most of her life, Suri has been known as the quiet, reserved, preppy kind of person. But, her true colors weren't anything of that sort. Suri is outgoing and optimistic - and is always up for a challenge. She keeps in her true self mostly because she's afraid to open up to anyone to quickly - for the fear of them leaving her, or loosing them. Suri is a very sensitive person, and let's a lot of small things get to her. It takes a lot for Suri to voice her true opinion in arguments because she is used to holding in all of the emotion that she has. Before he sophmore year, Suri wasn't the type to make a new friend wherever she went. She would usually stick to her regular group of friends: Dexter, Mason, Natalie, and Tristan - And wouldn't look any farther than that. But, after sophmore year she has become more approachable and friendly to everyone she meets.
Suri is always up for trying something new. Her best friends all very adventurous and tend to rub off on Suri quite a bit. The creative side of her brain is never turned off. She is a very skilled writer and lyricist, as well as singing and playing piano and guitar. Music has been her passion from the moment her father put a guitar in her hand. That part of her erupted on the rest of her life, and has taken part in Suri's daily life. Suri can get really excited over the littlest things, and has no problem getting everyone else around her excited as well. She has a smile that is simply contagious, and eyes that are hard to say no to. She is a very giggly and bubbly person. You would never see her more like this when she's with her best friends.
BACKGROUND HISTORY: In Suri's lifetime, she has went through many stages and various events that led to the person she is today. She was born to Craig and Emma Manning eighteen years ago on April 14th, 1989 in Toronto, Canada. From the moment Suri entered this world, she was pampered like a princess would be. Spoiled, some may say, but Suri never really acted like a spoiled brat. She was always the type of person that thought of other people's needs before her own, and doing things for the common good of everyone. Craig has just signed a record label right before Suri was born, and was on the verge of making it big-time. Emma has begun working at the hospital in Toronto, and money came very easily for this family of three. In the years of elementary and junior high, Suri always seemed like the quiet, snobby, prep that thought she was better than everyone because of her father's reputation. The truth? She was just shy, and afriad to let anyone or anything close to her. The reason? She was scared that they would leave her - Because of her father being gone all of the time. But, at the end of the day, Suri brushed off all of the whispering voices and focused on the people that she did have, and knew would never leave her - Mason Stone and Dexter DelRossi - Her best friends. Because Suri had those two boys, she never really tried to fit in with anyone else. Until High School, they were they only people you would ever see Suri hanging out with - Unless she was in a group with Dexter and Mason. When her sister, Shiloh, was born - Suri became more of a big sister to her more than anything else. From the minute Shiloh entered the world, she was a rebellious and impulsive little girl - And Suri always thought that everything Shiloh did was her responsibility.
Later on in High School, feelings for Mason developed in Suri. It was no surprise that she had fallen in love with her best friend - Considering they spent almost all of their time together, and only found trust and the will to open up with each other. The feelings between them was obvious, but neither were able to admit to it until their Senior year. Songs were written for each other, and when they were played, it was like they both knew that they needed to say what they felt. From that day on, Suri and Mason have been a couple and have gone through more than you could ever imagine to get to where they are today. A mistake that they made would also lead to one of the best things that would ever happen to them. Suri got pregnant after only a week of her and Mason being together, a few months from graduating high-school. Of course, at their age this wasn't good news. The tension between the two of them and their parents was so high, that not even Mason could bare it. When he was accepted into his dream college, and Suri was seven months pregnant, Mason couldn't help but want out. He wanted to follow his dreams, but he wanted to be with Suri and the baby. After a long struggle with Mason and his regret, he decided to stay with Suri and take care of the baby. When Roen Mason Cooper Stone entered this world, it brought a stronger bond between Mason and Suri. They had a child - And there was no doubt in the world that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together with the baby. Mason proposed at their Winter Formal, and of course - Suri accepted.
The Manning’s and The Stone’s have been best friends for longer than Suri could remember. The always has memories of Mason coming over when they were only 2 or 3, and taking baths together. So by now- Suri knows that Mason is probably the only one that she can trust. He has always encouraged her to try new things, and supported her in pretty much every decision that she would make throughout school. Now, In Senior year, her feelings for Mason have grown stronger…In a more than friends kind of way. She wants to deny these feelings, but everytime she talks to Mason- They get stronger and stronger, and Suri just doesn’t know how to deal- She has never had feelings like that before. Most of the kids that habe parents who are friends with Suri's have been apart of her life since she was an infant. She doesn't have as strong of a bond with them as much as Mason, but they still spend a lot of their time together, and Suri knows that they are going to be her friends for life.
When the High School years came around, Suri formed into a completely different person. She was more outgoing, and the fear of someone getting close to her slowly faded away. When that happened, she began expanding her horizons and meeting a lot more people - and feeling a lot more things than she did before. In her Freshman year, she met a person that would turn out to be her best friend even in her adult years - Tristan Hogart. Tristan and Suri became close friends in very little time. From the minute they met, they connected - And developed a bond that even they didnt realize how strong it was. When they were together, it was like they became completely different people - Espeacially on Tristan's part. Over the years, they stayed that good of friends. Their senior year of High School is what would change their relationship forever. Feelings developed between the two - If it wasn't just an attraction, or an attatchment to the idea of what would happen if they somehow got together. Of course, with Suri being in love with Mason, and Tristan being the player that he knew he was - It wasn't good to have these feelings. There was jealousy and desire - But Suri and Tristan decided to burry these feelings, because they absolutely could not persue them.
As Suri's senior year wrapped up, life seemed way too perfect. After graduation, Suri and Mason finally tied the knot. They were officially Mr. and Mrs. Mason Stone, and had already begun their family with Roen, and a lifetime together. That lifetime for Mason, was way too short. In July of that summer, only a little bit after a month of marriage, Mason was in a car accident, and died from internal bleeding. Just like that - Mason was taken away from Suri, Roen, his friends, his life. He was gone forever, and no one could change that. It hit Suri so hard, her entire life came crumbling down. She quit her job, she refused to accept her University of Toronto acceptance, and basically stoped living. From the moment that Suri was informed that her husband had died, she never picked up a pencil again. She would never write, never sing, never compose music, and never play an instrument again. Her love for music was gone, because all it did was remind her of Mason. Little baby Roen wasn't yet old enough to understand that his father was never coming home. He would whine "daddy!" for hours upon hours, and never realize that his father would never walk through the front door for the rest of his life. He couldn't understand what was going on, and so most people would think the death wouldn't effect the child - But because of Suri, Roen suffered all of it. Suri couldn't handle taking care of Roen, as well as taking care of herself. She began drinking all the time, and couldn't even stand to look at Roen because of the resemblence he had of Mason.
Right now, Suri is just trying to cope as best she can. Although, her effort is very low - and everything in her life is beginning to fall apart. She has lost touch with her friends, lost her job, isn't in college, is behind on rent for her apartment, and barely has any food in the house for Roen. She can't handle anything alone. And what Suri doesn't realize is that she has friends that would help - She has support, if she would just accept it. The thing is, she doesn't feel that she is allowed to live and be happy, while Mason is dead and never had the chance to live the rest of his life.

| QUOTE (Cohen Conner Stone) |
STONE, COHEN
AGE Eighteen; EDUCATION Senior in Highschool; OCCUPATION Unemployed
PERSONALITY: Throughout his teenage years, Cohen was always known as the cocky, arrogant jock who was just a little too full of himself. Of course, he could also be the caring, protective, fiercely loyal friend but it was just a matter of where you fell in his life, and essentially what you were to him. Growing up, he was never used to people saying no to him, and because his family was wealthy, he was used to getting what he wanted, when he wanted. People wanted to be friends with all three Stone children, they wanted to be invited to the Mansion parties and blowouts, so by default the 'popular' kids all wanted to be friends with Cohen. That fact sometimes went to his head, resulting in his conceited attitude.
There were people, however, that could put him in his place. His best friend Shiloh Manning is definitely one of those people. Because they'd been friends pretty much since birth, Shiloh knows the real Cohen and usually brings out what he thinks is the best in him. His fraternal twin sister Mackenzie is also one of those people. He was and still is very protective of both Shiloh and Mackenzie, especially when it comes to the guys they date. He knows those guys, and he knows how guys like him think. When it comes down to it, he just doesn't want to see his sister or his best friend hurt. Before his junior year, Cohen was spontaneous and he liked to have fun. He had no regrets, always looking for the next stupid thing to do, and was a fast-talker. He could pretty much talk himself out of any trouble he got into, using his money and his 'connections' to keep a clean slate.
However, throughout his junior year, he learned a lot about himself. He began to see how stupid a lot of the popularity bullshit was. He realized that he was going to all of these stupid school events just because people expected him to go and he realized that he wasn’t really all that and a bag of chips. He screwed up a lot, hurt people because he was selfish and was basically a scared, little boy terrified to put his heart out on the line. Towards the end of the year, he pretty much stopped caring about a lot of the stuff his sophomore self had lived for. He played basketball because he loved it, not because the school expected him to, and he stopped being all that concerned with what his classmates thought of him. He even skipped prom (despite being nominated for Prom King) so he could hang out with Alana and have an “anti-prom”. Of course, a lot of his ego was still intact. He didn’t change completely, but a lot of it was just for laughs.
After Mason died however, it all went downhill. He completely shut down his emotions, pretending that nothing had ever happened. On the outside he seemed like the same Cohen everyone had always known, but on the inside he was numb. Right now, he’s still in denial and he’s starting to get a little self-destructive. He’s pushing people away and reverting back to his sophomore self. The guy who took stupid chances, hurt people, came to school hung-over and basically just did whatever the hell he wanted, whenever the hell he wanted. The truth of the matter is, he just doesn’t know what he's supposed to do.
BACKGROUND HISTORY: Cohen Conner Stone is the second son of Peter and Manny Stone. He has a twin sister Mackenzie who he's been best friends with since birth, obviously. He's only older than her by five minutes but he still likes to look out for her as an older brother would. They're fraternal, but they were still treated as most twins are. It was always "CohenandMackenzie" this or 'the twins' that. They were put in matching outfits, the whole deal, but somehow Cohen didn't come out a traumatized sissy, like most in his place would have.
He loves basketball, and is on the school team. Even being co-captain for two years, he's still not disillusioned and knows he's not good enough that he can make a career out of it. However, he is really good and he knows it. Secretly, he wants to be a writer, but he hasn't told anyone but Shiloh about that. Shiloh is Cohen's other best friend. They also grew up together because both Cohen and Shiloh's parents are good friends. When they were infants, they did that whole "taking baths together, writing marker all over each other's faces" thing and they've just been "the boy next door" and the "girl next door" for each other. Always having been great friends, they've become almost like the Dawson and Joey of Degrassi High. Shiloh knows that Cohen would do anything for her and she's one of the few people who trumps him on the "crazy things I'm willing to do" scale.
Throughout his high school year, Cohen had always reveled in what his family name and wealth had handed him: Popularity. But unlike most guys in his place, he was never willing to leave his friends behind. He still sat with them at lunch, hung out with them as much as he could, etc, etc. He's always been a good friend, despite what some people would think. Sure, he misses a few calls, has his bad moments, but generally he's there for the people he loves. However, sometimes he's just bad at showing affection. He can also be a bit of a hypocrite and often ends up having to insert his foot into his mouth when it comes to his judging of other people.
For instance, at the end of his senior year, when he caught Mackenzie and Greg Cameron getting comfortable on the couch when he got home (never mind that he'd done much worse on that couch in the past), he pretty much flipped his lid. Mostly, it was because of Tristan Hogart (the guy who'd dumped his sister for not sleeping with him and then still strung her along by inviting her to dances and trying to be her "friend) who just happened to be Greg's best friend. Whatever the case was though, he basically rode Greg off as a Tristan 2.0 and yelled at Kenzie. They blew up at each other right in front of their unsuspecting house guest and a lot of what was said rang true to Cohen. He realized that maybe Mackenzie was right and that he should let her make her own decisions. Still though, he's not ready to let go all the way. She's still his "baby sister" and he believes it's his job to protect her.
When it came to his own relationships, Cohen's love life was far from simple. In fact, "complicated" didn't even begin to describe it most of the time. Due to his looks, Cohen usually got whatever girls he set his eyes on in high school. Although, all of his relationships were more of a flavor of the week variety. Serena, however, was his first "real" girlfriend. She was the bible-toting, Virgin Mary, school girl and he fell for her hard. He never pushed her into having sex with him (contrary to popular belief) and they never actually even had sex. In fact, he often liked to joke that, even while they were dating, Serena "wouldn't even let me touch her below the forehead without permission". Their relationship came to an end, though, when Cohen realized just how much Serena meant to him. He broke up with her without warning or explanation and let people think what they wanted to think. Of course, everyone assumed the worst: that he'd dumped her for not putting out. Cohen didn't care, he let people think what they wanted to think.
After Serena, Cohen moved back to the casual flings and no-strings relationships that he'd enjoyed at the beginning of his freshman year. He and his best friend Christian made a game out of seeing how many girls they could sleep with. It came to a point where they'd wait for a new girl to arrive and then see who could get her first. That was where Cohen developed his penchant for nicknaming people. "Mary" was a term to describe the goody-two-shoes type girls, the ones that were harder to get but more fun to chase. He used the name often. Sophomore year was also a time of losing friends and gaining friends for Cohen. Cacie Cameron, a pretty good friend of his that he'd gained through Serena, hated him because of the break-up. She didn't understand why he'd done it, all she knew was that Cohen had broke her best friend's heart. Through Christian, Cohen also met Janine Hogart (or "J" as he liked to call her). Christian and Janine had dated for a good while, a relationship that Cohen heard way too much about in complaining from his best friend, but when the two broke up, Cohen wasted no time. He asked her out as soon as she seemed to be over it and she laughed in his face. Whatever excuses she made after that to explain her behavior, were pretty much lost on him after that. No one had ever laughed at him before, but I guess there's a first time for everything. After that, Janine and Cohen became pseudo-friends. Mostly they just enjoyed pushing each other and seeing who could annoy the other fastest. Of course, Cohen did like her for awhile, he was only human, but they remained friends. The truth was, she was the type of girl that could chew him up and spit him out.
When Cohen's junior year came around, he started the year as usual. He had always been one of those people who could sleep through a class and then pass the test with flying colors the next day. He did the work he was assigned, but he was lazy about it and rarely tried. Because of this, and his love of basketball, he was forced to get a tutor halfway though his first semester. Caleigh Sheffeild was the epitome of everything he wasn't: naive, innocent and hardworking. She came into their first session wanting to help and he came in hung-over, pissed off and ready to get in her pants. Basically, he saw her perfection and wanted to corrupt it. However, she wasn't interested in him at all and she made it known. It was through his experiences with her that Cohen learned that he couldn't always get what he wanted. And maybe, a lot of her good qualities rubbed off on him because he stopped drinking so much, didn't sleep around as often, and became a lot more at ease with himself. He cut out the "Mary" business as more than a passing joke and really began to grow up.
Alana had a lot to do with it as well. She was the one-night-stand that turned into something more. He realized, after spending some time with her, that he really wanted to get to know her better. She was a lot like him but she was also a lot different than him. For instance, they both were pretty slutty, but she was a vegetarian activist and he loved meat and didn't really care what other people did as long as it didn't effect him. Also, she was more of a partier than he was. She was into drugs, something Cohen had always strayed away from. Basketball didn't allow him the luxury of experimenting with things like that and, frankly, he thought they were pretty much a waste of his time. Drinking, however, they both did in access. As their relationship progressed, the two decided to upgrade to friends with benefits. Cohen had been through this so many times before that he didn't even stop to realize that, usually, the "friends" aspect of the relationships was pretty non-existent. As things went on though, it became harder to ignore. At one point, Alana even got drunk and told him that she felt more for him than she should. He didn't return her feelings and she staggered out of the bar, feelings hurt, and into the park trying to get away from him. Despite helping her get home and promising himself that he would never let her do that to herself again, Cohen was still afraid to open himself up to her. Luckily, the next day she had no memory of their conversation and he lied and told her nothing had happened. The friendship and the sex continued.
It wasn't until his junior formal that things really came to blows. He'd gone with Janine, asked her over Facebook no less (it was their favorite way to communicate, through texts and comments on Facebook. Private conversations about him wearing suspenders and her turning into a slut that no one else was supposed to see), and they'd come as friends. Well, Alana was there too and saw them together. Janine, wanting to have some fun, decided to start holding his hand and resting her head on his shoulder just to annoy Alana and apparently it had been too much. Alana kissed him and ran out, Janine, always with a witty retort and a smooth exit, followed because she was bored and he was an asshole. It was as simple as that. When Cohen followed Alana she, sober this time, again told him that she had feelings for him. Cohen, again, told her he just wanted to be friends. Their relationship pretty much died out after that, until somehow, they tried to be friends again. While she was gone, Cohen realized he missed her. He offered to help teach her how to drive, something he almost later regretted because of how hazardous the experience has been to his health, and they got closer, this time without the sex.
By the end of their junior, it took a fist fight with Janine (Alana being the one doing the fighting), an anti-prom, an accidental kiss, a visit to jail and a sick mother to convince Cohen that it was finally time he stop being a coward and put his heart out on the line. Taking Alana's mom's advice and a little from his big brother Mason, he asked Alana to be his girlfriend and she said yes. They've been together ever since and Cohen was finally pretty content with his life. Sure, his parents weren't always around, but he had Mason and Mackenzie at his back. Not only that, but he was an Uncle to Mason and Suri's first baby, Roen. The wedding was probably the happiest he'd seen his older brother in a long time and, by default, Mackenzie and Cohen couldn't help but be happy too.
Of course, just when things in Cohen's life were finally falling into place, July came. Mason died in a car accident and everything spun out of control. Cohen was completely lost. He felt cold and numb inside. He didn't cry, in fact he acted like nothing happened. But the truth was, Mason had always been Cohen's rock. The one person he could come to with anything. The one person who actually acted like a parent to him. Now, Cohen doesn't know what to do. He's pushing everyone away and reverting back to the self-destructive person he was only a few years prior. He says nothing's wrong, he's "fine", but he's drinking a lot more, staying out all night. His grades are slipping and he's recently just decided that he's quitting basketball. It may have been his dad that first threw him an orange ball 14 years ago, but it was his big brother Mason who taught him how to play. To those close to him, Cohen himself seems like he's the same as ever but obviously, that's not the case. He's in denial big time and no one, not even himself, knows how to snap him out of it. |

METTS, ALANA
AGE Eighteen; EDUCATION Senior in Highschool; OCCUPATION Sales Associate At Magical
PERSONALITY: Alana Bethany Metts is the self proclaimed hippie of Toronto. Though most people know her as the Hippie Chick or the Fashion Designing Cheerleader, few people actually know her. Even after her full year in Toronto. If you did get to know Alana you'd find out that she is far from the perfection she likes to portray. She's a normal girl with normal problems. She's incredibly happy-go-lucky and loyal most of the time. Well she's always loyal, that is something about Alana that would never change. She's usually the type of person to cheer other's up because she doesn't like it when people are sad. Though till recent alcohol binges made her change her mind, her main way of making people happy, was through sex. She loved sex and partying and drugs. She was all for free love, especially after her father died. It was always easier to through herself into the feel good things than actually have to deal with the fact that her dad wasn't there anymore. But then everything crashed around her and she had no where to go but up. So she did. She still partakes in drinks every now and then, but never to the extent she used to and as for her sexual activities...well there still there only in her the form of her boyfriend, Cohen Stone.
Though even through her tough times, Alana had always been one of the ones her friends came to when they needed help or a shoulder to cry on, which made Alana very self-dependent. She didn't ever go to anyone for help, not ever her closest friends. She always thought she could do it all on her own, or on the rare occasion with the help of her mother. Alana still thinks that about herself, she doesn't really like help, though is a little more willing to accept it now, but it still takes a lot for Alana to accept help.
BACKGROUND HISTORY: Alana Bethany Metts was born to a hippie and a cop. The relationship was futile at best. They were always fighting, but in the end they really loved each other. Alana grew up in San Fransisco California knowing basically what her mom taught her. Animals are your friends. She has never ate meat a day in her life and never will. Alana has always loved both of her parents even though they were so different. Her dad was a meat loving man and her mom was a peace loving honey.
Alana pretty much grew up with her 'crew'. They called themselves the modern day hippies and preached free love and spoke out against animal cruelty. She was a very promiscuous girl and lost her virginity when she was 13. Her mother was so proud and her father blew a casket, but that's always how it was between her parents. There was this nice bond between the three of them, that was why is was hard when he father was killed. Her mother was devastated, and so was Alana. He was killed trying to stop a bank robbery. And this just enforced Alana's deal with peace. She wanted it badly now.
Alana's mom needed to move them away from San Fransisco. She wanted to move them out of the country, blaming America for her husband's death. She moved them to Toronto. Alana wasn't to happy about leaving all her friends in San Fransisco, but is ready to start over. She is glad for this change and will take things as they go. Moving to Toronto was an even bigger change than Alana could have ever thought it could be. She didn't expect to be welcomed immediately upon her arrival, but she had hoped for things to start out a little better than they had. Her first day she met Mason Stone, and being Alana she flirted with him a lot and got him to bring her back to his house. Where nothing happened. Sexually anyways. But still two people started hating Alana because she didn't know that Mason was practically promised to Suri Manning. Shiloh Manning and Mackenzie Stone took this as a personal attack some how and joined forces to hate her.
Alana could live with girls hating her, knowing that she couldn't always be everyones favourite person, but the next change was one she never in a million years could have seen coming. She went to a club, hoping to have a little fun. That was where she met Cohen Conner Stone. The boy was everything she really liked. He was confident, hot, and some what of a gentleman. They had a night together and for some reason Alana wanted to hang out with him afterwards. She couldn't explain it at all.She hadn't ever felt like that about anybody in her life. At first she thought it was because she was new and he was like the only one who was actually being nice to her. Then she started falling for him. Hard and fast. Being who she was, Alana didn't want a relationship. They never turned out well, so they started 'Friends-With-Benefits'. And they were friends, but they were also doing more. Alana found herself secretly wishing that she would one day be able to tell Cohen how she felt about him and he would take her in his arms and kiss the fool out of her. But, this was just a fantasy and the reality was far less pleasing. She eventually did tell Cohen how she felt and he rejected it. Alana was crushed, going into a coma of chocolate and movies. Her only know abouts of what was going on outside of her house as from her two best friends (once best enemies) Kenz and Shiloh. After a while, she got herself up and started acting like old Alana. Though she didn't like it as much as she once had. It wasn't fun anymore. That was when Alana decided that she just needed to chill. Figure things out and then maybe find a boyfriend. Thing s are slowly becoming a lot easier for her. She started talking to Cohen again and is happy.
For once things started to slow down, but it was always a matter of time before things blew up in her face again. Mainly that came when she got into a fight with Janine Hogart. And not just any fight, a big, physical fight. It was bad and she hated that it had gone that far, but Alana had never been in a fight before and so she got hurt pretty badly. Though it would have been much worse if Cohen hadn't broken them up when he did. She hadn't been happier to see him in her life. Soon after things between her and Cohen started picking up again. They were finally really good friends. With the driving lessons and anti-proms (and yes Alana did finally get her driver's license) though it was nothing more. And then Alana's best friend from San Francisco, Max Simon, had been forced to come home by his father saying he wouldn't have his son camping out with hippies any longer. And not even a week after Max left the biggest hit came in the whole school year. Alana had just gotten her license and that was when she got the phone call that her mother was in the hospital. She had been hit by and 18 wheeler and was in critical condition. Alana couldn't believe that she was going to loose both parents in one year, it was too much for her. She was really starting to wonder who she pissed off. Luckily she was with Cohen when she got the call and he came with her to the hospital and only left her side when she told him to, which was very very rare. And some how her mother was ok. It was amazing and a miracle and Alana had never been happier. The day her mom woke up Cohen had been with her in the hospital and Alexandra had asked to speak to Cohen alone. Alana still doesn't know what the two talked about, but all she knew was that a few days later Cohen told her that he wanted to be with her, if she would have him. She said yes, naturally.
The summer had been a truly great summer. She had gone home for a few weeks to visit her friends and some of her family and then came back to her life in Toronto and Cohen, who was quickly becoming the biggest part of her life here in Toronto. When senior year rolled around Alana couldn't have been more ready. She had spent the whole summer getting new designs done and have even sent some to major labels. This year was going to be about having the best senior year ever and her clothing line, hopefully, getting picked up. It was supposed to be the best year ever. Cheering with her best friends for her boyfriend. Having fun. Getting into a good college. But then something happened that changed everything forever. Mason died.
Alana couldn't believe it. She was started to wonder if she would ever start a new school year without someone dying. It was hard, but she made herself there for everyone. Especially Kenz and Cohen, even though she was having a hard time coping with Mason's death. He was the first person she had ever met in Toronto. She had cared about him a lot. But she felt the worst for Suri, naturally. She could only imagine how she felt, which was probably close to what Alana had felt when her father had died. It's a suck situation, only made more suck by the fact that Cohen is not only ignoring the fact that his brother is dead, but pushing her away as well.

ANDREWS, DELILAH
AGE Sixteen; EDUCATION Sophmore in Highschool; OCCUPATION Unemployed
PERSONALITY: Delilah is a real trip. The first thing you'll ever notice about her is the way she loves to laugh. She loves jokes, and anything that could at the least bit amuse her. She loves to play around and smile constantly -- You'll often notice that she's just one of those girls who love life and love to have fun with it. She has a real sense of humor, and she's really not afraid to make a complete fool of herself. She's actually very confident with herself, and she's not like msot girls who are constantly worrying about their weight, height, and style. She dresses the way she likes, eats what she wants, and doesn't care if it's not good enough for you. She's the last person to call 'emotional', so honestly -- You will never see her cry or get hurt too easily. She's pretty much undestructable. She's learned to accept things and move on, so if you do something that might hurt someone else, theres a good chance that it won't hurt Delilah at all. And if does hurt her, she won't let you know that it did.
Delilah is extremely athletic, so she's pretty much obsessed with sports. She has four brothers who tackle her and make her play football with them all the time, so she's really tough. She's really affable in the most part. She's not really judgemental, but you'll find that she doesn't tell someone when they're getting on her nerves either. She normally vents to her best friends after if you do, indeed, get on her nerves. She's a pretty smart girl, who just basically loves life.
BACKGROUND HISTORY: Everything starts with two people. These two persons' names happen to be Delilah and David. Delilah and David were meant for each other. They were just the perfect couple ever, and everyone was always jealous of how two gorgeous, perfect people ended up together. Delilah and David were high-school sweethearts, went to college together, and married fresh out of college. Delilah did have a degree to fall back on, but her ambition was to be a housewife and mother. So, they immediately began having children. They gave birth to a boy named Samuel, nicknamed Sam. He was a beautiful baby, and David and Delilah had never been happier. Of course, they wanted more children. They wanted a big family, and they knew they could support one with David's job as a doctor.
They gave birth to three more boys, one right after the other by a year. Gabe, Nathan, and Luke. All boys. Yes, the house was hell, and Delilah did get fed up every now and again with the constant wrestling and rough-housing that the boys did, but she loved them and the chaos is what made their perfect, happy family. Delilah knew she wanted to try one more time to have a girl to keep her company in the house full of boys, so they didn't waste time. So, David and Delilah tried again, she got pregnant, and then a year later, Delilah had a baby girl. But, sadly, there were birth complications and Delilah died right after pushing the baby out. David was heartbroken, and so were all of the boys, all of them just being babies they whined for their mother. David named the baby Delilah, and then moved out of his suburban home and into his mother's house. He needed help with all of these kids. His mother welcomed him with open arms.
It took some time for David to get over Delilah, but months passed, and eventually years. With help from the boys' happy spirits and with the beautiful, happy baby girl, he realized that he needed to be strong and happy for his children. David was very close to his children. When Delilah turned 3, David finally realized it was time to get out of his mother's house, and move away from Ontario. So, he packed their things, and moved to Toronto for a new start. David got a nanny for when he worked at the hospital, and since three of the boys were in school, the nanny only had to watch Delilah and Luke. When David would get off of work, he would pick up the boys from school, come home, and play baseball and football in the backyard with all of the kids, while Delilah and Luke played with little toy cars. They all ate dinner together, they all had a huge study-group in the living room and David helped them do homework, and David tucked them in and put them to bed. At 11:30 pm, the nanny came back to the house, and David went back to work. He had to work crazy hours so that he could spend time with his children. He often got no sleep, just to make sure he was there for them. He was a wonderful father to those children.
As Delilah grew up, she acted just like her brothers. She rough-housed with them, played football with them, and had mud-wars with them. When she started school at the age of five, she met her two best friends in the whole wide world. Spencer Cole and Scott Harris. They became best friends immediately, causing a terror for their kindergarten teacher, Miss Bigsbee. They talked constantly, wrote notes to each other about how they hated her big nose and smelly breath, and they would get up and write on the chalk-board during nap-time, because Miss Bigsbee often fell asleep watching the kids sleep as well. They were extremely close, and it was just like Delilah to be friends with two boys, considering she lived in a house full of them. Spencer and Scott got along with her brothers, so they usually made Delilah's house their hang-out.
Growing up, Delilah played basketball and softball relilgiously. She was very good, and was always a team-captain and a starter. She still plays now, and is still as awesome as ever. Delilah really loves sports, and knows a lot of stuff about them, but she is also a girl. She watches soap operas, wears make-up, and is known to dress up sometimes. Although, nothing can beat a cute t-shirt from Delia's, a pair of jeans, and pink Chuck Taylors. She likes to dress relaxed and cute -- Kind of punkish, vintage, high-fashion looking.
When Delilah was 13, her first crush was on Spencer. He was cool and calm, and he had a way with making her rely on him. But, she never said anything in fear of loosing his friendship. When she was 14, she got her first kiss from Scott. He made her laugh like crazy, and he was constantly doing something insane. He had the coolest ideas, and Delilah was just attracted to him. They started dating, and that didn't change anything for the threesome. They all stayed very close, and they always hung out with each other.
To this day, Delilah and Scott are still dating, and her house is still as chaotic as ever. Her oldest brother that just graduated has decided to keep living at the house with the rest of them, which makes Delilah believe that the house will never be calm. She likes it that way though. Nothing can beat a house full of wrestling boys, and the two greatest friends in the whole wide world. So, she's happy.

COLE, SPENCER
AGE Sixteen; EDUCATION Sophmore in Highschool; OCCUPATION Employee; Vaughns Guitar Shop
PERSONALITY: Throughout his high school career, Spencer Cole has always been known as the “cool guy”. He’s the calm and collected one sitting on the school stairs reading or practicing his guitar without a care in the world. Really, not a lot of things faze him and if you didn’t know him, you’d think he’s seen it all. This could be the result of having been raised an only child with two psychiatrists for parents, but really Spencer is often just off in his own little world. He’s a dreamer but he’s also got a really logical head on his shoulders. Give him a problem, and if he cares about it enough, he’ll have a solution for you in no time. That’s why he often ends up becoming the guy all of his friends come to to vent. He doesn’t judge, he just spins a new perspective on the situation and offers, by your request, what he would do.
Some would say that he gives amazing advice, others would say that he has no clue what he’s talking about. But really, if you’re not in Spencer’s head, it’s impossible to tell where he’s coming from. As a person, Spence is really hard to read and not many people can tell what he’s feeling unless he actually comes out and tells you. Which he doesn’t do often, despite how “unhealthy” his parents say that is. From an outsider’s point of view, really nothing seems to bother Spencer Cole, but you’d be surprised to find out that some things really do. He just lets those feelings boil below the surface.
BACKGROUND HISTORY: Spencer Alexander Cole was born to Valleri and Alex Cole on January 25, 1990 in his very own bathtub. Yes, his parents, both psychiatrists by practice, were strong believers in their son being born to a “stress free” environment. No doctors or machines or drugs, just candles, low lights, and a midwife to get them through the process. He was their first and only child. Because the Cole’s had very time-consuming careers, they knew that they would have no time for more than one child, and through their work, they knew what the lack of parental guidance could do to a child. They made it their mission to let Spence know that they were always their for him and would support him in every decision he made.
Every Friday since he was old enough to talk, they had a “family meeting”. During these meetings they discussed whatever “issues” Spencer might be dealing with. For some kids it might have been nice to have such interested parents, but Spencer found it more and more annoying the older he got. He felt like they weren’t really listening to him, like they really didn’t care, they were just waiting to stick him in some category or phase they’d read about in their psychiatry books. His parents tried to leave themselves open for him, but they were working a lot of the time. And when they were home, they spent their time in their respective offices.
Of course, the family ate together around the dining room table and occasionally sat in the family room together, but their house was a relatively quiet place and Spencer spent a lot of time in his room. Music was his passion. He spent hours in “the cave” (as his parent’s occasionally and affectionately called it over breakfast) just downloading and listening to music and practicing his guitar. His room was his sanctuary, covered in band posters and his parents, as well-adjusted as they were, always heeded the ‘do not disturb’ sign plastered on the back of his door.
Spencer’s dream was to be a famous musician and his parents let him know, as per usual, that they were behind him 110%. Secretly, both of them believed that his love for the guitar was just a teen phase and that after a few lessons, he’d realize that being a musician just wasn’t a “reachable goal”. Of course, that never happened. The more he learned, the more he found out that he had a natural talent for the instrument. More and more now, his parents are beginning to realize that his love for music is not going away and after six years, it’s starting to bother them just a little bit. Which, surprisingly, makes Spencer love the guitar even more. Something he’s doing annoys his parents and it’s like a dream come true for him.
Luckily for Spencer, his home life didn’t carry over to his school life. Things may have been quiet around the house, but when he hit five years old things were far from quiet for him at Degrassi Elementary. Miss Bigsbee’s kindergarten class marked the beginning of the beautiful 10 (now going on 11) year relationship between himself, Delilah Andrews and Scott Harris. They were the fearsome threesome from the start and they pushed their teacher closer and closer towards retirement with every little prank they pulled. Scott always had all these insane ideas while Spencer thought them out and, along with Delilah‘s push in the right direction, they made them happen. Together, Scott and Delilah brought him out of his shell and helped shape him into the guy he is now. They were Batman, Batgirl, and Robin, the invincible trio and nothing could change that.
When Spencer hit eleven he got his first crush on Delilah. She was crazy, had all this energy, and she made him laugh like nobody else could (besides Scott anyway) and she was basically the opposite of himself. Of course, being Spencer, he wasn’t about to tell her that. He just kept his feelings to himself and she never suspected a thing. He didn’t even tell Scott, because he knew the teasing would probably never cease. After all, if they started treating Delilah like she was actually a girl, they’d have to factor cooties into the situation and then things would just roll downhill from there. Today, Spencer still harbors feeling for his best friend, but it’s gotten a little complicated since she’s started dating Scott. Go figure that all of his waiting for the “opportune moment” would catch up to him and he’d lose out. Of course, when it comes down to it, he just wants Delilah to be happy, and if that’s with Scott, he can put his feelings aside. He’s content with just being the guy she goes to when she needs someone to listen or when she has a problem.
When the trio finally left elementary (to the cheers of Miss Bigsbee and her co-workers) and entered middle school some years later, their group expanded to include two more. Emmett Murray and Peyton Jacobs were two people right up their alley. They were fun-loving, a little different, and they fit right in. In the eighth grade they were joined by another, the British new kid Evan Houston. He loved music almost as much as Spence did and, along with Scott, they decided to form a band. Delilah, Emmett and Peyton are pretty much the best groupies the three could ask for and they all couldn't be happier.
The only real problem Spencer has now is when he has to see Delilah hurt. Especially when it's Scott's fault. Sometimes he just doesn't think that Scott treats her right, and as much as he loves his best friend, sometimes he lets himself wish, just for a minute, that he'd said something to Delilah back in fifth grade and things were different. Still though, he's content to sit on the sidelines and wait until he's needed. After all, it's all he's ever done, why shake things up now, when everything else is falling into place? |

DELROSSI, DEXTER
AGE Eighteen; EDUCATION Senior in Highschool; OCCUPATION Unemployed
PERSONALITY: In the past year Dexter has probably grown the leastout of a lot of the people who attended Degrassi Community School in Toronto, Canada. But it could be because there really wasn't much about him people wanted to change. Dexter, every since anyone could remember, has always been the backbone of a lot of things. He was the friend all of the other ran to when things got tough and needed someone to be there for them. He was the one who would always lend out a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand. Sometimes he felt taken advantage of, but he never liked seeing his friends hurt. Dexter is genuinely a nice guy. He doesn't do anything that could hurt anyone else, intentionally of course, and he is incredibly loyal to his friends.
Dexter, on top of being a nice guy, is what most would call a nerd. But Dexter prefers the term, 'well endowed in the brainal area.' He's into comic books, video games, and tutoring. As well as the things that make him less dorky or nerdy like the fact that he's a skateboarder and plays the guitar like a mad man, but only a few people know that Dexter even has thoughts outside of school and comics and video games because he could really care less what other people thought about him. He knew who his friends were and he stuck to them.
BACKGROUND HISTORY: Dexter Levi DelRossi didn't start off that way, actually he didn't have a name till he was adopted a good six months after he was born. Dexter's real mother had been a 16 year old crack addict, he had found out much later, and had left him in a dumpster right after he was born. Luckily someone had found him before they had taken the trash out and had taken him to the nearest orphanage. That's where Dexter's life really began. When he was adopted 6 months later by fashion designer Marco DelRossi and his partner, Tim. The two had fallen in love with Dexter as soon as they saw him and didn't take no for an answer when they wanted to adopt him. There was some challenging over bringing a baby up in a gay family, but it had taken a little pushing and letters of their character written by their close friends for the courts to allow Marco and Tim to finally adopt they're beautiful baby boy, Dexter.
Dexter has always known he was adopted, how could he not? When he was little people used to pick on him because he didn't have a mom, but again that had never really bothered him because he was in a loving family and not everyone in his school could say that. There were two people who had never really said anything to the fact that Dexter was adopted, Suri Manning and Mason Stone. They had been his best friends for just about ever and no one else had ever seemed really important.
In school Dexter had never really been what one would call 'popular'. People knew him that was for sure, but it was mainly for being one of the best tutors in school or Suri and Mason's dorky little friend. He had always been ok with that and then as he got older he had just been accepted into a crowd of people. All of which were his friends and all of which he cared about very much, but that was just Dexter. He trusts everyone until they give him a reason not to. Hell he ever trusts Tristan Hogart, who may be an ass, but has always been there for his best friend Suri so that made him trustworthy in Dexter's books.
As love went, Dexter never really had much luck with the lady's. He liked girls that was for sure, but they always tended to go for the hotter, buffer, dumber guys in the school and not lanky, smart, ole Dexter. He had basically thought this had all changed when he met one Natalie Painter, who he was assigned to tutor. When he first met her, he knew she was going to be trouble and probably a hell tutoree, but he still tutored her, when she wouldn't change the conversation to how bad his clothes were or not show up at all. He started to fall for her. She was a lot more like him that either of them knew, just not in the conventional way. They were both loyal to their friends and even had one in common, Suri Manning. Though Dexter had always known that, Natalie hadn't. But as all things in Dexter's life, he was passed up. For Tristan Hogart. He has long since gotten over it and now Natalie is one of his closest friends, but it still stings.
The Summer before his senior year, Dexter's parents Marco and Tim decided they needed a change of scenery. So they bought a house outside of Paris and moved. Dexter was not happy about this, especially since Suri and Mason were about to get married and had just had his nephew, Roen. They assured him that he could stay for the summer and that they would all be in attendance to the wedding, which they were. 2 weeks before school started was when Dexter said good bye to Toronto and to all his friends. And then a week later, he was a saying a somber hello to them all again. But this was only because Mason died.
Dexter didn't believe it when Natalie told him over the phone, but it was true. The only time he let himself cry was when there was a 6 hour time difference between him and everything else that was going on in Toronto. The moment he got back into Toronto he threw himself into helping out the Stone family and of course Suri most of all. Marco and Tim had agreed that Dexter could spend his senior year in Toronto and have bought him an apartment. Dexter doesn't want to believe it's true, because it's so hard to believe, but he has too. Dexter has to be the backbone though all he wants to do is fall apart.

HUANG, LILY
AGE Seventeen; EDUCATION Junior in Highschool; OCCUPATION Unemployed
PERSONALITY: Lily is one of the sweetest and cutest girls you will ever meet. Very girly and feminine she can easily remind you a china doll that can be easily broken, but even if she's not physically the most strong person on Earth that doesn't mean that she can't think for herself. Being raised to be a perfect wife Lily is very polite and smart, but never showing how smart she is, she always wears a cute and charming smile that you can't help and smile back. With very cartoonish expressions, Lily tend to exaggerate her expressions making her look like a manga character coming out from the books, she acts as any other Asian teenager. Is considerate a geek in Canada she doesn't really care about the label, because truth to be told she is a geek, after all what she does in most of the times is read shojo mangas, watch Asian dramas and read sci-fi/fantasy books.
Lily is a dreamer, sometimes she's too much of a dreamer, you can easily find her spacing out with a dreamy look in her face looking to nowhere, after all she's a true romantic. Being an Asian girl her experiences with the opposite sex is very small, almost non-existent, that's why she doesn't know how to act around boys and is always blushing. Very faithful to her friends Lily always stands up for them, no matter what. She's the friend that everyone comes to ask advices because she tends to be the voice of reason. She is a very strong, opinionated and confident girl, she has faith in herself and in her believes so doesn't matter what people say about her and her work, she does her best to please herself and not the others.

MICHALCHUK, CAMERON
AGE Nineteen; EDUCATION Freshman in College; OCCUPATION Unemployed
PERSONALITY:
BACKGROUND HISTORY:Cameron Michalchuck was originally born Cameron Whitman. His biological parents were Aimee and Jonah Whitman of Montreal, Canada. His parents were in their early twenties and weren't actually dating when Aimee found out that she was pregnant. After a year of trying to raise their son together they realized that they fought too much for their own good, and that it wasn't too fair to their son. That was when Aimee's brother, Joey, mentioned that he and his partner Dylan were wanting to adopt. He said that they would be glad to adopt Cameron before they moved to California for Dylan's new job. And so, at the age of two the young boy was adopted by Dylan Michalchuk and Joey Fisk.
When Cam was two and a half years old he was settled in a spacious loft in Los Angeles, California. His fathers had two steady, well paying jobs and for all Cameron knew his mother was really his aunt Aimee. When Cameron turned 5 he was walking around the city with his aunt Aimee when he saw a man playing his guitar on the side of the street. This was interesting to Cameron, and he asked his aunt Aimee for a guitar. About a half hour later Cameron had himself his very first guitar. It wasn't anything much, just a toy for children to learn on.
Dylan and Joey were sure that their sons talent would bloom when he learned how to play simple songs on his own. Right before his 6th birthday Dylan and Joey signed Cam up for lessons and let Cam know that he would be able to learn how to play the real guitar. This excited the young boy who was more than ecstatic. He recieved a new guitar, and after a year he was on the way to playing well.
There are certain things that help everyone become popular in middle school, and actually knowing how to play the guitar is one of them. Due to the fact that he was one of the few people in his classes who knew how to play a guitar, Cam immediatley hit it off with lots of people. Some of which ran in the wrong crowd for anyone who was only 13. When Cam entered high school something was offered to him. Something he'd been warned about many times before, drugs. He knew the damage that could happen but he figured he would just do it once so everyone would shut up about it.
There was no denial, and for a couple of months Cam was fine. He ocasionally smoked this or that at a party, and figured it was no big deal. He was no addict. When he began his sophomore year in high school something happened. Cam began to goto more parties, and he didn't even know the hosts. It wouldn't take long for the ocasional bong hit to turn into a nightly bong hit. But still he denied any addiction.
His condition worsened during the beginning of his junior year, and after Dylan and Joey realized what was wrong with their son they signed him up for rehab. He stayed there for an entire school year, getting his work sent to him so that he wouldn't be a grade behind. When Cam was let out of rehab in the winter of his senior year he returned to his childhood loft to see that everything was packed up.
We're moving to Degrassi. It was where Dylan had grown up and attended school and he figured it was far enough from Los Angeles for Cam to get all of this nonsense out of his system. So he moved, closer to his aunt Aimee and his aunt Paige Michalchuk. Seeing as how he was new to town, his cousins Tristian and Janine invited him to a New Years Eve party where he met Cacie Cameron, someone who was as in love with music as he was.
The two hit it off immediatley, forming a friendship tighter than an emo boys jeans. They talked regularly and went out on a few casual dates that weren't so casual for Cameron. He began to develop feelings for Cacie that he didn't know he could experience. And one night as he was walking Cacie home he put himself out there. He told her he had the potential to love her, and it was nights like these that made him realize that it might not just be potential.
When Cacie didn't respond the way that people normally should Cam felt some sort of longing. After he left Cacie's house he went to the ravine and found himself a dealer. The night that Cameron Michalchuk told Cacie Cameron he loved her was the night that made him leave Degrassi. Cam was shipped off to rehab for the second time and he stayed away until the month of May. He came back and was a little hostile towards Cacie until the prom came along. He met her at the Dot, on accident, and the two spent the night at the amusement park getting to know each other again.
Some... stuff happened that night after a bottle of Jack Daniel's and a few more bottles of Jack Daniel's. But Cameron doesn't remember anything, but Cacie did. She accused Cameron of drugging her but he's got no clue about what she's talking about. The two best friends had just begun to rekindle their broken friendship when Cacie went and ruined it again. The end of the summer, and a summer long trip to California, couldn't come fast enough. Cameron packed his bags and left TO with his cousin and cut off ties to everyone who wasn't his parents.
When Cam was relaxing on the beach in Malibu he was confronted by a familiar face, Cacie Cameron. Cam's perfect vacation was ruined when Cacie came out of nowhere. The two talked for two days straight, literally. While they were in Malibu Cameron and Cacie did something that they shouldn't have, especially with Cameron being prematurely out of his rehab stint. They did coke which sent Cameron off the bandwagon. This was the last day of Cacie's trip and after she left Cameron fell back into old habits.
It was only a matter of time, and as the summer wore on Cameron's addiction came back. Only it was worse this time. Much, much worse. Now that Cam's back he's been trying to quit. But its only made him cranky and when he gets his fix he's OK again. Cameron's life is just a train wreck that seems to be repeating itself. This time, however, it seems to be getting worse with every mile it drags on. There have been cases where Cameron's been an ounce from overdosing, and he hasn't even realized it yet.
The amount of money Cam has, which really isn't a lot, dwindles smaller and smaller each week as he wastes his money, and life, away on an endless addiction that can't land anywhere good.
