Title: Lots of new d2 players ^_^

Well I'm going to sticky this post so that anyone may ask questions about d2 that our experienced members may answer. I may also make a FAQ thread that will be stickied as well.

START POSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need a good druid build for pvm

Swan - February 28, 2008 01:03 AM (GMT)
Druids are not good pvm characters.
I used to use one myself.... I have a lvl 94 pvm druid.. til I found out paladins own pvm. PERIOD.

Probably the best all around pvm char is the hammer paladin. With a zealer coming in second.

You can do pvm with almost any character, but it's just being fancy to do so.

Hammerdins can own absolutely anything in the game. Even Ubers. I've done it many times with my hammerdin.

If you still want a good druid pvm setup, what kind? i.e caster or melee?

I can help you build almost any kind of char, and have a great deal of knowledge about them, or can get information about them with a lot more ease than those a little newer to the game. Simply because I know how to explain things so that someone newer can understand them, and so they don't get overfilled with info ><

i was thinking about a windy druid

Easiest build for druid is as follows:

Shako
Mage Plate Enigma
Arach
2x Sojs (Or soj&bk or soj&fcr ring)
Spirit Mon
Hoto
Trangs/Magefists
Treks
Maras or Fcr ammy
20-xx Dtorch
20-xx-xx Anni
9x Ele Gc's
20 life Small Charms (Only optional mod on the SC's are res)
CTA&Bo spirit

If you have a nice pelt, use that over Shako.

Skills:
Left click attack - Tornado
Right click skills - Hurricane, Oak Sage, Summons

Skills to max out:
Tornado
Hurricane
Twister
Cyclone Armor
Oak Sage

1 point skills
Raven(needed for other summons[meat shields])
Summon Spirit Wolf
Summon Dire Wolf
Summon Grizzly (Optional but nice to have)
Ice Blast( I forget what the name of that skill is)

If you add it up, you need 105 skill points for everything. So with skill quests, and levels, you need at least level 93.

Stats:

Enough str for the gear (Not a whole lot, but enough)
Dex is optional for max block with Storm shield. So save about 100 points, and when you can wear SS and are 90+ see how much dex you need for block, or near max block)
Vita: All the rest
Energy: None (Druids get 5 points of mana per energy, so with torch/anni/base + sojs and bo, it gets pretty high)

Thats basic enough to be cheap, effective, switch from pvm, to pvp with ease and still fair good.

If you want a godly pvp setup, lmk I'll edit this and add a pvp version if the items/stats.

yeah a pvp and goldly setup please

Max fcr gear:
2dru-20fcr-2os circlet. You can get these magical with just those stats, or a godly one with more stats just as str. Str is probably the best choice, because you can save stats/and not have to use an fcr ring w/ str, you can use a soj then.

Armageddon Fletch amulet. CAUTION: DUPED ITEM.
Arma fletch grants you lots of godly stats. Mass res, 20 fcr ect.
Alternative to Arma Fletch. Would be a crafted druid amulet. Start buying caster crafts and get to work.
Spirit monarch. No other alternative for a Godly druid w/ max fcr.

Heart of the Oak Flail. Max mana boost/3 all skills (Boost for nado/cane/wolves/oak)
Alternative: 7-15'd wizard spike. 7Fhr, 15 more resistances. Or 15/-15 resists/requirements.
Best weapon for a windy druid period is: Spirit Crystal Sword. Go look at those stats, they are just sick when used in conjunction with spirit monarch.

Arachs vs every build except other wind druids. Vs them, you need a 10 fcr, 24 fhr belt. They are crafted, and extremely expensive if you can find a good one.

Rings: Sojs/Fcr Rings. It's more fcr and stats vs. More dmg/and more mana for more tele/nado spam.

Gloves:Trangs, or more preferably, Single Up'd magies. Regen mana is far more useful than 30 cold res.

Boots: 15-15 Eth Treks. Great defense+Stats/mass life boost.

Charms: well windys are godly chars. Period. So Just 9x Ele gcs with life.
If you wanna go god mode, get 35+ life charms. Nething else is duped to shit, only buy from someone you know. Or make them baal you about 15 times before you think about a 40+ lifer.

20 Life scs are usually the best. Though 5-5 (res/fhr) is gonna give you the edge vs. ne other high damage build.
Torch&anni ofc.

Mp nigma is your best friend as far as armor goes. If you want style, you should go with a Dusk, or Full Plate Mail Enigma. FPM's cost more than any other enigma when it comes to comparing prices. Even for a 765 roll, your looking at 3 sojs. (It's just the godly look on ele droods that make them so expensive.

For 99fcr mode/High Damage Mode:
2-3-2-10 Pelt.
Thats: 2 Druid, 3 Nado, 2 Open Sockets, 10 base fhr.
Best way to jewel it is 2x Shael'd. Without Fhr on your druid, you are dead in the water vs all high dmg builds that your Cyclone armor sheilds you from. Color is preference, same for pelt type. Though I really wouldn't care what my pelt looked like if I owned a 2-3-2-10 pelt ><

Ammy: Maras, or a Crafted 10Fcr Lifer Ammy. No other real options here.

Rings: Sojs. (Dmg/mana boost) If you want more hp, go with Bk rings.

Belt: Arach, won't need any other belt in this 99fcr setup.

Boots: Etreks.

Gloves: If your a spammer: Go with Magies. They get the job done for you. If your a clever gg druid, go with Trangs, they are classy.

Spirit Sword/Hoto for your weapon. Unless your dueling vs melee, then switch to a Ber'd SS shield.

Spirit Monarch. Unless your dueling melee, and have on SS, then switch to Wizzy for more fcr, and grab a fcr ring.

Charms stay the same pretty much, but you can switch to 20 life scs considering how much damage your going to be dealing out.
