It's San Francisco, and the year is 2137. After war and disease threatened the great country of the USA, the Government turned the cities into havens of peace and security, the cost - absolute obedience.

In an effort to maintain a healthy and crime-free civilization, The Government has put several laws into effect in the last hundred and twenty-seven years that result in the enclosed and controlled cities we see today.

Men uphold the business side of civilization, keeping commerce alive and the cities running. The women keep the hearth and home, maintain the American ideal of a happy family. Children are sent to special schools in order to ensure they're properly prepared for their futures.

The Government pairs men and women based on their genetic make-up, ensuring the most balanced and diverse population. There is no divorce. There is no choice. Just the Law.

For those who break the Law, there is the Alcatraz Rehabilitation Center and the Camps to the north, shanty towns filled with pain and despair as people do whatever it takes to stay alive.

Will you accept the Gilded Cage or break the Mold and face the Harsh Reality of life without Law?
